Welcome to our half-acre homestead in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. We are conveniently located along the main highway, making our property a great basecamp for exploring everything the Comox Valley has to offer, including walking trails, beaches, rivers, lakes, hiking trails, and Mount Washington Alpine Resort, all within a short drive or bike ride. Many trails and outdoor areas are close by and easy to access from our property.
We offer a simple RV parking spot in our driveway, with a view of the ocean, for fully self-contained RVs. Please note there is no sani-dump or bathroom, so your RV must be fully self-contained. This is a simple homestead RV stay rather than a full-service campground.
Our property is a small working homestead with a large garden, chickens, rabbits in the back and a seasonal farm stand where we sell herbal teas, artisan jams and jellies, and farm-fresh goods grown and made right here on the property. Guests are welcome to walk through the garden, visit the animals, and shop at the farm stand upon request and accompanied by property owner.
If you are looking for a convenient location to break up a long journey or while exploring the Comox Valley and enjoy a casual setting, this is a great spot to park and stay for a few nights.
In addition to the RV stay, we also host Wild Edible Plant Walks, garden tours, and seasonal herbal workshops on the property and around the Comox Valley. These are separate bookable experiences that Hipcamp guests are welcome to join if dates align with their stay. Please inquire when booking if you are interested in adding a plant walk or workshop to your visit.
The Comox Valley is made up of the City of Courtenay, the Town of Comox, the Village of Cumberland, and the surrounding communities of Royston, Union Bay, Fanny Bay, Black Creek, Merville, Denman Island, and Hornby Island.
The Courtenay Riverway Heritage Walk is right across the road and runs along the ocean, through forested areas, around the Courtenay Airpark, and along the Courtenay River, connecting all the way to our downtown core. From our farm stand to Simms Park is just over a one-hour walk or about a 20-minute bike ride.

Also, we reserve the right to put you in the best possible spot to fit in a proper site for what you are camping in and what your needs are. Often people book a site that’s completely wrong for them… but that’s ok… we will fix it. 😊
4) Smoking only on sand at sites and nowhere else on our property Please use a container to hold your butts.
5) Noise restrictions after 9pm…no music or loud behaviour after that. Strictly enforced. We value respect in the camp for all campers.

We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning.
Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway.
We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas.
There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

Outhouse on the property, which is just a pit toilet. It is a working farm so will likely have various equipment around at times as well as workers at certain times of the year. You’ll likely meet our very friendly and very energetic Bernedoodle, Bernie. If you prefer to keep him out of your campsite just let us know and we can keep him closer. Otherwise, he thinks he has the run of the place! Please check to see if campfires are allowed (live in a high-risk fire zone) and firewood is available with an extra charge. If you need anything to better enjoy your stay, just let us know!
Our property is located in Peachland, BC. Positioned midway between Kelowna and Pentiction, it is the perfect location to draw from both population centres and is well-positioned to act as a hub for popular wine and other agri-tourism activities. Wild Coast has 2 nightly campsites for you to enjoy. Site one is a large, flat open gravel base. And Site 2 is a large, flat grass based site. Please note you must have your own trailer or tent.
We’re a 5-10 minute drive to Rathtrevor beach/Parksville, Englishman River. We are right in the middle of an extensive trail network perfect for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding.
Both sites have plenty of space for RVs and trailers - we can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length. 30 amp Electrical and potable water hookups are available on both sites. WI-FI onsite as well. There is a flush toilet and sink available in our farm store that is available for guest use. No shower yet, but we are working on it!
The property is private yet close to all amenities. Local favorite Rocking Horse Pub is a quick walk next door and a must-stop for dinner and drinks!
Centrally located on Vancouver Island, it’s a perfect spot to set up the rig and day trip out to Rathtrevor, Little Qualicum, Parksville, Coombs, Port Alberni valley and Nanaimo, or go for an overnighter in Victoria, Tofino, Mount Washington and the Comox Valley.
Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban and we have dry firewood for sale onsite. If you would like firewood send us a message before you arrive.
Pets are welcome, but please be responsible for them. There is a large open grass field for you to let them run and burn off that energy.

Since we last opened, the goats and chickens have been re-homed. This was necessary during our two-year absence. But no fear, there's lots to do and see if you're the self-motivated adventurer type(s).
Bathroom and kitchen facilities are shared up at the main house. Dog-friendly. When navigating to our place, please stay on the paved highway. The GPS may want you to come up the back roads, but don't let it fool you. Unless you really like adventure and have the right vehicle.

We strive to provide a place to enjoy the peace & quiet of nature, so it's not a place to party or have music loud enough for neighbours to hear.
Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest & bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise.
Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer & fall & world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just 5 or so minutes away. You can ATV right out of our gate onto unlimited logging roads and trails or hike the Trans Canada Trail 3 blocks from our gate.
There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the picnic shelter. There is a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for protection due to a drop-off & undercut banks.
ATV's are idle in - idle out.
QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them and not leave them unattended.
LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights.
CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times!
FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 9 AM and 8 PM.
BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef jerky for sale (this cow was treated as a pet until her time & was dispatched on the farm to avoid stress). We occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens.
Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! The gate must be kept closed because of them.

We have four cuddly cats that roam the property during the day and sleep in the gym at night
We also have a dog named Radar — he loves to bark, but will absolutely melt in your hands if you give him a good pet. He does not wander down to the campsites.

As a family, we sometimes keep early night times. If you arrive after 8:00 PM, we may not be able to come introduce ourselves that evening. Please feel free to choose a campsite that works for you, and we’ll be happy to come say hello the following morning. If there are any issues, feel free to message us at any time.

Camping is open and the weather is beautiful!
Enjoy the beautiful acres right on the Chilliwack River! A wonderful family-friendly (including pets!) getaway with endless activities nearby. (no pets allowed for glamping)
Our camp sites are great for anyone wanting to camp, including groups.

We have Glamping tents as well - we provide everything except your food, drinks and personal items! They are situated beside the river, with a eating bar overlooking the river and with beautiful views. For the romantic couple - but we also can accomodate a small child (inquire).
Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. (then you can have a propane campfire)
The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk.
We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi that you can use.
Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug.
We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, cold plunge and sauna retreats, wine tastings and more!
The stargazing at night is beautiful as there is no light pollution here.

We are just across the lake and are accessed by the first electric on demand shuttle ferry service in BC. A 3-4 min ride across with some of the most spectacular mountain views the area has to offer.
If you are looking to escape the crowded tourist areas for the solitude of the natural world but want to feel safe and comfortable, then this is your place. We are surrounded by hiking, biking and ATV trails waiting to be explored. A few miles down the road is Saddle mountain hiking trail, a challenging trek with breathtaking views the entire way. At the top of Saddle Mountain is a look out cabin with 360 panoramic views.
A short walk from the camp through old growth cedar groves will lead you to Arrow Lake where you can enjoy all types of water activities or take a stroll to explore the lakeshore. Grab a kayak or SUP board and explore our many secluded sandy beach spots.
Reconnect and unwind, breath the fresh air and enjoy wonderful nature walks. The town of Nakusp is only 15 minutes away where you can find cute coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques. There are 3 beautiful hot springs all within 35 min of Nakusp as well as an Epic bike park 15 min outside of town

Our stay at Kootenay Born was absolutely outstanding! John and Michelle were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond, sharing the history of the area, their favorite hidden gems for hiking and swimming, and encouraging our boys to explore and enjoy the beautiful, uncrowded surroundings.
We were the only RV during our stay, so we had the upper meadow all to ourselves, surrounded by wildflowers and stunning mountain views. The nearby tent area offers clean hot showers, toilets, potable water, and a convenient dishwashing station. The location is perfect—we loved it so much that we extended our stay. The ferry is quick and easy, making it simple to spend some days exploring Arrow Lake and others visiting Nakusp, New Denver (don’t miss the bike park!), and Halfway Hot Springs, which is an absolute must. If you’re bringing an RV, we recommend stopping at McDonald Creek Provincial Park to dump your tanks and fill your fresh water before taking the ferry. We can’t recommend Kootenay Born highly enough!

Just like the reviews have said .. lovely couple that owns this place , great converstion and it felt like home .. all the dogs , donkeys , horses and lone rooster are all friends in their animal world and it shows there is lots of care there and the land . Beware River the dog will snatch your food on picnic table .. always keep food away like normal campsite with wildlife . You get lots of sun in the early evening . All the animals quiet down ( even neighboors ) around 9pm .. i slept well 🌙

This was a lovely spot surrounded by forest (mostly). It was very quiet at night and during the day for that matter. I had great sleeps.
There is a lovely public walking trail close to the property. You could also walk down to the Sandbar Café for breakfast or other meals if you are so inclined although it does close in the evening at 7pm.

For us we liked the location to the comox ferry terminal. Terri’s place was a good spot for us to cut our commute to texada island in half. Our RV is tall and we had to be aware of some low hanging data cables but for most it wouldn’t be an issue. Also being close to the road there was a bit of vehicle noise. Terri was very nice and accommodating.
