Welcome to JX Surf Shop and Campground! We are located just 10 minutes outside of beautiful Ucluelet and only 5 minutes away from the Pacific Rim National Park. We have 30amp-powered sites with water hookups as well as tenting sites. We also offer overnight parking for those sleeping in their cars. We share property with other great businesses! -JX Surf Shop has rentals and can also book surf lessons for you! -TickinT-Bird rents E-bikes so you can bike to all the beaches in the Pacific Rim National Park. 9am-4pm - Tommy's Pizza offers unforgettable Neapolitan-style pizzas. Skip the dishes while camping and be delighted! 3pm-9pm Wednesday to Monday - SunRay Food rtuck has smoothies, baked goodies and variety food like Tacos, Falafel, Quinoa bowls, Sandwiches, Wraps, Hot Dogs and much more for everyone. 9am-3pm Thursday to Monday Camp Surf Dine and Ride at JX Campground **Please note that JX Campground is for short term camping only. Vehicles, tents, trailers must leave the property after a maximum stay of one week. Thank you for your understanding.

Small RV site is suitable for 20'-25' RVs or camper vans. The site comes with 30amp + water hookups on site. Located along the back side of the property, backing onto woodland. PLEASE NOTE, we can only accommodate vehicles up to 25ft in length, anything larger will not fit.  This site is also a nice upgrade from the tenting area if tenting campers are looking for more privacy. Site 4 is also suitable for those tenting and needing to have their cars onsite.

The people at the surf shop were great and very easy going with checking in. The location is right by the highway, so a little busy at night, but very convenient to travel around.

If you are looking for an affordable, highly functional basecamp to explore Tofino and Ucluelet, JX Campground is a top choice. They have a mix of 30-amp powered RV sites with water hookups, standard tent sites, and simple overnight parking for van-lifers. You can rent a surfboard at JX Surf Shop, grab an e-bike to cruise down to Wickaninnish Beach, and eat great food trucks without leaving the property.. The crew running the place are genuinely kind, helpful, and community-minded. Very affordable compared to other massively inflated prices on the peninsula. Overall, i highly recommend this campground.

On a road trip and need a last minute campsite? JX campground is a huge recommendation. Was stuck in Port Alberni and having no where to sleep well we were on a road trip on the Island. Called JX campgrounds and literally got a campsite same day. And that’s a tall order considering it was the summer busy season. They have Tent sites, RV sites, and worst case scenario even have overnight parking for only $20. That’s a great deal! But yeah, you’re on a road trip and need a place to stay. I wouldn’t overlook JX campground. Thanks JX campground! Definitely will be coming back next summer.

Nice place, clean, easy to find. 2 “port-o-potties” hidden behind some woodwork for privacy. The overflow parking is just off the road hidden by some trees so that quite a barrier from the highway and each of the private sites have a row of trees for privacy. Our sites have water and 50amp power. That was nice to see because the other Poke place has a rope on the ground to separate campers! No office to check in/out, which was the only confusing part. Also a great rental place, coffee/sandwich place/ and bike rental in the same space.

The good: convenient location; two excellent food trucks (pizza and coffee); friendly staff. Be warned: no washrooms — port-a-potties and a separate single spigot for potable water. Fine when the Tofino-Ucluelet region is fully booked, but not the most comfortable site.

Everything we needed for an overnight trip. Nice to have a gourmet coffee truck and a pizza truck on site. We rented a site for our tent in the RV site. There is some privacy between the sites. Good location to drive to nearby trails and Uclulet. Surf shop on site

Very disappointed as we had to drive 10 minutes away to have access to a normal toilet. There is 4 portable toilets at the campground, all 4 were filled to the brim. If you would sit on it then someone else’s poop would leave a mark on your bum. Honestly, most disgusting portable toilet I have ever been in my entire life. Emptying them should be something that is done before it gets to that point. Wish I had taken some pictures to show the damage.

Located right on the bike path to Tofino going north and Ucluelet going south. Campsite is more than acceptable and roomy compared to other campsites we saw and were over 2 times the cost. Super friendly check in and nice surf shop and food truck. Had electricity and water. No dump but there is one in Ucluelet. Highly recommend.

Loved the place, very very tidy and clean all around, makes you feel cozy. Showers were a pleasure!! And again, very clean! The drive on the highway was scenic and super pretty! We were there only one night, the smoke was pretty heavy due to fires, so sorry BC is burning. In regards the spot is close to the highway which can get a bit noisy.

Campgroudn at the junction to Ucluelet and Tofino. Perfect to xplore both. Site 22 was clean and we were happy we didn't have any noise from the road during the night. The washrooms could use some cleaning though.

In principle a nice and practically campground. The highway is not too loud. It is a great basis for visiting Ucluelet, Tofino or the Kwisit visitors center. However, there are no washrooms and showers. Only pit toilets available, which are in bad condition. Thus, a recommendation for RV-campers only.

Great! We really enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful, , and considerate owner, The only thing missing is shower facilities and proper flush toilets. If those were added, it would be perfect. Other than that, everything was excellent, and we would definitely stay here again.

The Porta Potties were very clean, and were emptied partway through our stay without ever getting very full. The tent sites were very close together, separated by only a log. It was a little sad to pay ~$45 a night (including the fees) for a tiny field with some porta potties and water. That being said, the rest of the prices in Ucluelet were around $100 for similar amenities but more privacy and nicer area. If you don’t mind the lack of privacy and no views, I thought it was worth saving some money.

I pitched my tent in my small allotted spot in the grass and used the porta potty. The water spigot is far away from the camping area, but there are picnic tables near the tents. This is on a busy road, but with earplugs it was fine.
