Powered Caravan site is also grassy and flat with a large area for kids to play. If you choose to set up in the open away from the trees the house will be in sight (45m away), but we live a quiet life and respect your privacy. The property is on the Brisbane River, the site offers river glimpses however there is no river access. Suitable for tents, campers trailers, caravans and RV's. We are close to the CBD so the site is a great option for a 'shake down' for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield. You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves. Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away. Campfires are permitted. Firewood is available as an 'extra' for $20, please go to 'extras' to add to your booking alterantively purchase on arrival. Power (10amp) and drinkable water is available close to campsite. You must bring your own camping toilet. Daily water usage is included, however long range water tank fill ups incur a one off extra fee of $10, please include this in your booking under extras. Please do not feed the horses as some have strict dietary requirements. Please leave the campsite as you found it for the next camper. Fires permitted in fire-rings provided or in an above ground firepit. Check for local fire ban restrictions first. Free firewood to collect and use in firepit provided. No parties or large gatherings, but happy for small family groups. Perfect location for a quick weekend getaway from the city. Only 40 minutes from Brisbane and a short distance off the Warrego Highway. Things to do - Fishing - Kayak or Swimming in the dam is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks - The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. - Follow the walking trails for bush walks to spot the wallabies, kangaroos and some beautiful birdlife. - Kids can ride their bicycles along the trails. - Ewenique hobby farm is located roughly 500m up the road, great animal farm for kids to enjoy. - Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports

Come and relax at our flat, peaceful 5 acre hobby farm. Most animals wander around example the sheep, ducks and chooks, pig. So tough plastic boxes are great to hide your food items. We have a mini pig (Splat) that has her own paddock but she likes to socialise. I'm waiting for fencer to get her back in her paddock again. She loves affection.. 😆 She is super gentle and loves belly rubs and pats. sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit. Baby animals are seasonal, ducklings and baby chicks in summer and lambs after winter roughly. There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in. We have firewood for sale, and I make a great expresso coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself. Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow, for sale or Make a donation and buy it... The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary. Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids. We also offer day visits for $5 per person. Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all closeby. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas) Hope to see you soon at the farm. If you do an instant booking and I don't see it or reply, don't stress, as your welcome to drive on in and straight up the laneway to the back paddock area. I'm sure you will see other campers too and set up where ever you like. Just close gates again and I will meet you later if we are out. My group stayed for my bday weekend & had the best time! Huge perks of the place: -The hosts, Patrick & Tom, had amazing comms throughout the entire process & shared some important tips like internet access/things to do around the area/prompt that it’s cold at night, even in late spring, etc. They were lovely & prepared an amazing spot for our group. The toilet is an awesome long drop design that doesn’t smell, even after a huge group for a few days. It’s strategically placed near the fire pit, so we didn’t have to walk for ages from where we spent the majority of our time. It also has charging ports so you can keep your phones, etc, charged. We were so impressed with this! The freshwater creek was perfect for swimming. There’s a section deep enough to dive in & swim around & other parts you can sit on the rocks & enjoy shallow water. -The section is flat & very spacious, so there were many options to put the tents without being super close to each other. The trees lined up on the creek side provide shade from around mid-morning too which was handy to not have to squeeze under our gazebos! -The cows and calves that roam through the site are the cutest! Some even let you pat them. -If you forgot anything or need to top up supplies, it’s only a 15-minute or so drive to Canungra. It’s a really great spot for groups of all sizes, but ideal for a big group! Highly, highly recommend!

Lovely spot with a few camp sites to choose from all with stunning views of the surrounding hills. Horses roam freely and were Beautiful company. Dayman was very friendly and knowledgeable and made our stay very comfortable . We will definitely be back.

Be great for first time campers as it's a safe place to figure camping out if that makes sense. Great for experienced campers also. Sooooooooooo many camp sites available...honestly, just load the ute up and go! you will not regret it.

This was our first Hipcamp that we have stayed at and the bar has been set high! Site was nice and large. Not over crowded with other campers. A nice walking track for our dog each morning and evening. Dam area clean, perfect for swimming and great to use the free kayaks scattered around the edges. Plenty to do here or if you wanted or if you wanted to relax easily done too. Also great to have easy access to close by amenities.

Friendly cows and other wildlife wandered by during the day, which made it feel extra special. The creek was super clear and refreshing — perfect for a swim and for our dog to splash around in.
