Welcome to our lush 9 acre Hobby Farm Stay property overlooking the Brisbane River with horses, ducks, geese and chickens. Experience the joys of farm life, feeding the animals, collecting eggs and relaxing under the mango trees. You can choose a private campsite tucked away out of sight of the main house, shaded by mango and orange trees. If you choose to camp in the open away from the trees, the house will be in sight, but we live a quiet life and will respect your privacy. The site is perfect for couples and family/friend groups. We can accommodate, tents, campers trailers, caravans and RV's. Being so close to the CBD the site is a great option for 'shake down' short stays for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield. You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves. There is a large flat grassy area for kids to play and ride bikes. Please keep in mind that this is a 'Farm Stay', you will be camping on a working property which is also our big back yard. Your privacy is assured, however, if you are looking for total seclusion, this may not be the Hipcamp property for you. Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away. Campfires are permitted. Firewood is available as an 'extra' for $20, if you would like a bundle please amend your booking to include firewood. Power (10amp 0nly) and water is available close to your campsite, but you must bring your own camping toilet. Daily water usage is included in your booking fee. Long range water tank fill ups incur a one off extra fee of $10, please include this in your booking under extras. We are friendly hosts who will respect your privacy and welcome your children to participate in farmyard feeding times and egg collecting (less eggs in winter). Our geese and ducks and chickens are hand reared so they are not aggressive at all 😃 We have two Sausage dogs, Ockie and Arlo. Ockie especially likes to visit campers, Arlo is a little less social but she may visit if she musters up the courage. This is their home so if you aren't doggy people perhaps this isn't the campsite for you. Please keep your food and rubbish up high so the doggos and other critters don't help themselves. Horse riding lessons are available by prior arrangement. Please give 7 days notice prior to your stay should you wish to book a riding lesson. No dogs please, Ockie and Arlo are the masters of their domain and don't like doggy interlopers. NB: The site is not suitable for parties or large group gatherings. We have a lush 9 acre Hobby Farmstay with horses, ducks and geese less than 30km from Brisbane CBD. Perfect stopover on a long journey
Enough space for caravan and 4WD to drive to camping area with ease.We set up to face the Brisbane River and the grass and surrounding areas were well kept and clear. Melissa was very welcoming and invited the kids to feed the horses. The dogs were lovely and we enjoyed their little visits to the caravan. Would highly recommend this hip camp as a stopover on a long journey.

Lovely private spot by the river. Friendly and helpful hosts. Horse farm setting with beautiful gum trees and call of the birds. Cute ducks and horses and crisp, misty mornings. Great place to watch the stars around the campfire. Nice morning walk down to the river to check out the historic Moggill cable vehicle ferry. A vehicle ferry has been operational on this site since 1878.

Camping on a farm.
We had a lovely time staying at Melissa's farm for 2 nights and it was great to be surrounded by horses, ducks, geese, chickens and of course the lovely sausage dogs! Our hosts were very helpful and friendly and we would certainly recommend this as a great place to stay

We had fun on Melissa's property, she was very welcoming. The kids enjoyed helping feed the horses, chickens, ducks and geese. Finding a few eggs was a great delight.

We only stay one night. The camping area is quite nice and Melissa and Robert are very friendly. We are able to go with Melissa feeding the animals what our son love the most.
