We have a lush 9 acre Hobby Farmstay with horses, ducks and geese less than 30km from Brisbane CBD. You can choose a private campsite tucked away out of sight of the main house, shaded by mango and orange trees overlooking a quiet stretch of the Brisbane River. If you choose to camp in the open away from the trees you will still have a river view, the house will be in sight, but we live a quiet life and will respect your privacy. The site is perfect for a quiet couples getaway or family/friend groups. We can accommodate tents, campers, caravans and RV's. You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves. There is a large flat grassy area for kids to play and ride bikes. Enjoy riverfront walking and riding trail access right from your campsite. Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away. Campfires are permitted. We will sometimes have fire wood available so check in with us before you arrive. Power (10amp 0nly) and water is available close to your campsite, but you must bring your own camping toilet. Daily water usage is included in your booking fee. Long range water fill ups incur a one off extra fee of $10, please include this in your booking under extras. We are friendly hosts who will respect your privacy and welcome your children to participate in farmyard feeding times and egg collecting. Our geese and ducks are hand reared so they are not aggressive at all 😃 We have two Sausage dogs, Ockie and Arlo. Ockie especially likes to visit campers, Arlo is a little less social but she may visit if she musters up the courage. This is their home so if you aren't doggy people perhaps this isn't the campsite for you. No dogs please, Ockie and Arlo are the masters of their domain and don't like doggy interlopers.

Family stay at the Hobby Farm
We had a lovely one night stay at Melissa and Roberts property. They were very welcoming, but not intrusive at all. Easy access with the caravan to the slightly sloping back paddock which overlooked the river. Very good value with power (10amp so take an adaptor for caravans) and a hose for water. The kids loved being involved in the feeding of the horses and hens. The fire flies at night were just magical. Nice views of the river but didn't seem to be any path down to walk along it or to do any fishing or anything like that. We ordered pizza from the local pizza shop in Moggill which was delicious.

What an amazing stay we had with Mel and Robert! Highly recommend! They were so welcoming to us and our boys of 2 and 4. The boys were delighted with the animals and Mel lovingly included them in the daily feeding. The location was great as we set up facing the river and it is very close to the ferry. Staying with Mel and Robert was like staying with family that give you your own space but are happy to have you around! This was our first Hipcamp and they have set the bar quite high!!!

The host Rob and Melissa were very inviting and pleasant. My partner and our 2 kids had a great time . It is set on a tranquil piece of land on the Brisbane river, it doesn't have access to the river, but there are trees for the kids to climb oranges to pick. But mist of all our 9 year old boy loved tending to the horses and geese with our host Melissa, he says he made new friends with the horses and Melissa. It will be a memory we will talk about in the future. A great place to relax and unwind.
