Camping in Sarabah
We had an awesome family trip away. The site is massive and nice and flat. Plenty of space for vans. So lovely to have the access to the creek there too. We can’t wait to stay there again.

Creekside group friendly site
Amazing flat site with creek next to it just ripe for exploration. Clean toilet close to the campsite and the afternoon visit from the cows is a highlight. Close enough to amenities if needed but far enough away to feel the serenity. Lovely large camp site great for groups to enjoy. Plenty of room for kids to run around and explore.

Platypus Bend (Site 1)
So beautiful! Really loved this spot, felt peaceful and welcoming and safe. Super lovely shady spot under the tree with a view of the bubbling creek. Private yet felt spacious. The valley and landscape are so picturesque and peaceful. Very easy direct access to the clear & beautiful creek for swimming, was pretty cold but amazing for a dip twice a day. Could watch the neighbors cows! Not a lot else for the kids to do so recommend taking board games etc. But perfect if you’re looking for deep relaxation and quiet. We paid for the toilet option. The toilet was excellent, clean and eco. It’s on site 2, the short walk is no issue but for me personally, it would feel a bit awkward & uncomfortable having to access other people’s site to use the toilet but we were lucky to have the place to ourselves so could come & go as needed. Having a toilet on site 1 for its own use would make this an 11/10 campsite! Tom was really responsive and helpful for our last minute booking, thank you Tom. Overall, I really loved it, would go back in a heartbeat.

Just us!
We love the serenity of camp 2. The only noises we heard was sound of running creek water and the occasional cow.

Camping with Dogs at its Best
We were the second visitors to Tom and Patrick’s Hipcamp, and it was also the first time we would be camping with our dogs, so wanted somewhere not only private but somewhere they could send time off lead and run and swim We stayed at site one which is one of two site they offer. The site its self was perfect flat area right along side a beautiful freshwater running creek and a back drop of mountains and forest. The swimming home one site one is your personal stream on falls and various spots of swimming fun for both us and the dogs. They do have a toilet located at both sites and the sites an around 200 m apart . The creek it one of the nicest fresh water creeks I have ever been in and the water was flowing.(would love to see a small area cleared off rocks to make the access to water a little easier for both dogs and people ) this little improvement would I think make it perfect. Would have liked the toilet on site one to be available rather then having to walk to site two but I’m sure there is a good reason for that as the guys are just starting out. Every morning the cows come along to site for about half an hour and then head off which it absolutely no botter at all. Over all tho this spot is truly a hidden gem and we definitely we will back as many times as possible before the word gets out because once it does I know it will be booked well in advance The hosts are easy to communicate with also very respectful of your privacy yet also available if you need

Tranquility at its best!
We loved our stay at Sarabah Creek Camping. It was just perfect for our needs. Plenty of space with a large flat grassy site. Easy access to the creek for cooling down, and very accessible to the local town Canungra and surrounding areas of interest for a bit of sightseeing. A very tranquil and beautiful place to rest and unwind. We will definitely be returning.
