Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is great for families and kids.
We have 40 acres of picturesque farmland situated near the Atkinson Dam.  On the property you can enjoy swimming in the dam or just sitting under the shade of my many lovely big trees. Some have koalas residents, so bring your camera!  We are a hobby farm with animals roaming around including horses and pigs.  We are located 20 minutes from the Wivenhoe Dam, Gatton or Fernvale which are the bigger towns to get supplies. We are only 10 minutes away from Lowood.  All these towns have great pubs and delicious, affordable meals. There are weekend markets, wineries, creeks, lookouts, historical villages and fabulous vintage shops to experience and explore! My Wife and I loved it here. The Owner of the property made us feel very welcome as we came through the gate, She helped us pick a nice shady spot as we camped during the Australia day "Heat wave" . Her dogs and horses and pony are great company.. Nice and quiet place to relax and be connected with nature.

Just spent two night. Host was very welcoming. Location is nice and close the Brisbane. Also has a couple of dams to cool down in.

Beautiful camp site!
What a place to stay. The dams were great to swim and fish in, the sites are well kept and the animals are so friendly. I would highly recommend this camp!

Great place to rest and recover. The dam for the kids to canoe it and swim was great The only thing that’s a problem is the little shetland pony was a pain at night walking through the camps and making a mess for everyone to clean up

Away from the crowds.
Given we had the place to ourselves we had a relaxing weekend away from the crowds. The animals added interest to our stay. I even managed a couple of swims in the dam. This is exactly the type of camping we enjoy - away from the double stacking experienced in caravan parks and designated areas. Will be happy to return with our group of friends again.
