Weekend Trip to Pims Mountain Retreat

Lovely camping spot. Have the option to camp on the gravel (we did as it was wet and forecast more rain) or you can camp on a grassy site. The view of one of the mountain was stunning and the night sky was beautiful. 30 minutes drive to Maleny and a little further to Montville. Our Labrador enjoyed it too! Enjoyed our 3 night stay - thank you.

We will definately be back to Fully experience this place... Unfortunately we only got 1 night before being totally flooded out, due to a massive storm surge. The owners were very helpful and accommodating.

Weekend Trip to Split Yard Creek

Beautiful surroundings, Richard & Jen are the nicest hosts and nothing was a problem. We had fun making pizzas in the Pizza Oven & listening to the creek bubbling away & all the bird life. Had a great bonfire. Other than some early morning road noise was a perfect long weekend!

Awesome place 😀 Stayed in the Hideaway site and it was super private, spacious and had an amazing view. Was fine to access in a 4WD but 2WD may be a little tricky. All the sites looked great. Neil and his family were welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Tremayne. Joss and Neil were so lovely and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. The campsite had lovely views and we saw platypus in the creek. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxed and scenic trip away!

A massive property with all the camp sites in a well managed area near the facilites and owners house. If you are looking for more private & secluded then this property is not for you. I was tucked behind a cottage near a group of other campers, more like caravan park vibes. I have Autism so the initial site did not suit me, Emma was so accomodating. My site was away from the main access with a beautiful sunset & limited interactions. I was near campers with kids but everyone was so respectful and quiet. It's safe, with on-site owners & caters to all types of outdoor living from caravans to tents and all abilities, there needs to be more spaces that are inclusive like this. Beautiful bush walks, the dam is full of wildlife. You can go for a swim or a paddle in a kayak. Very family friendly. Some dilapidated infustructure and other cool things to see around the property. Really nice to have a hot shower. Very clean shower and toilet block. They recycle and facilitate rubbish removal. They do have a per person cost not a site cost which can be expensive if you're a family, plus sneaky extras like early check in $5, fire wood $20 per bag. Pet friendly. If you are travelling alone, an inexperienced camper, like a secure safe space with people close by or have all abilities needs then this place is definately or you. For a last minute, same day booking it was a peaceful & relaxing stay!

NO POWERED SITES. 170 acre private Park. NO UNFORTUNATELY WE DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO BRING or USE MOTORISED EQUIPMENT ON OUR PRIVATE LAKE. Somerset Dam is 40minutes away and you are able to use your own motorised equipment there. PLEASE if booking individually but you intend to join a larger group please message me on hipcamp after you have booked telling me the names of people you would like to camp with so I can allocate a space large enough to fit you all. Also please note we have 24 sites only, however some of these sites can easily fit 40 people therefore on Hipcamp it can show lots of availability when in fact that may not be the case. We are more expensive per person than other camp sites. Please note this includes hipcamp fees and charges and you are covered by hipcamp insurance. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we haveguest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Flushing toilets and 2 hot showers available in main area. Please note: toilet cartridges are not to be emptied into our toilets. Take it home or dispose at dump point at Woodford Showgrounds We provide unpowered Bush camping, and we try to keep the camp sites as natural as possible, no flat pads. There is lots of space for the kids to run or take the dog for a walk on the lead. If you are organising a celebration (eg wedding/birthday) please send an enquiry first so we can discuss your needs. Please note if you’re wanting a function the price is $5500 which gives you sole use of the property up to 70 campers for 2 nights. (We live onsite) please also note we abide by noise restrictions and we do not allow amplified music and noise needs to be kept to a minimum after 10pm. We will allow up to 120 people onsite cost $7500. These prices include early entry Friday from 10am and late departure Sunday by 4pm. Extra accommodation available at extra cost. There is plenty of water for swimming and kayaking.All vehicle access. Entry from 12.00pm, Early arrivals incur a fee of $5per person includes Children and providing there is space available. Please do not follow hipcamp directions as they can take you into state forest. Please use Cove Road or Old Cove road as a pin then work off the address after confirmation from these spots. We have a great supply of locally sourced firewood, $20 per bag 20kg-25kg and we strongly discourage wood brought on from other areas due to biosecurity concerns. We have firepits at all campsites and adhere to any fire restrictions. We do not supply BBQ’s please bring your own. Please come to our reception building on the way in, as we need to check everybody in, visitors to your camp site need to sign in and pay a day fee. We are then able to answer any questions you may have and further cement our rules. Day visitors to your campsite will incur a $10 per person fee and is time restrictive. STRICTLY NO DRONES ALLOWED ALSO WE DO NOT ALLOW DRIVING AROUND CAMPSITES OR PROPERTY (Safety concerns) Once your camp is set up you can park your vehicle at your site. You are welcome to drive out of the campsite to town and back but strictly no joyriding around our property. We are surrounded in heavy bushland, yes we have TICKS, SPIDERS, SNAKES all creatures great and small 😊. We are located in the middle of the Glass House Mountains with wonderful views of Mt Coonowrin. It is a great spot for scenic photography, a base to explore the many hikes and climbs from in the surrounding National Parks. This site is located in the middle of the Glass House Mountains with wonderful views of Mt Coonowrin. Note: This site does not have any toilet or shower facilities so you will need to be a self-contained camper and bring your own. You can bring your own firewood from local service stations or other sources to be used in the firepit. Bring your hiking gear, your mountain bike and definitely bring your camera as the views are stellar. The craggy peaks of the Glass House Mountains tower above the surrounding landscape. They are so significant that they are listed on the Queensland and National Heritage Register as a landscape of national significance. Walking tracks lead through a variety of open forests to lookouts with panoramic views of the mountains. Some tracks are suitable for all levels of fitness and others include more challenging grades including rock scrambling skills. There are other challenging summit routes and climbing sites for experienced rockclimbers and abseilers. Or you might want to pull up a hammock and just laze the day away.

We also have a little vegie garden that always needs a water, and the animals love their carrots and grain. Close to Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Fernvale, Upper Brisbane River and Wivenhoe districts. In the area, you may want to check out the township of Marburg (local pub, shops and coffee), Sundowner Hotel, Savages Crossing, or the RAAF Amberley Heritage Museum (plan ahead). Friendly pets welcome as long as they are kept under control and are not a danger to the livestock. Field of Dreams takes no responsibility for the safety of visiting animals. Please note: Owner lives on-site next to the camp site. Shared site and facilities including shared firepit with up to 4 other groups of campers.
