During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings.
All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding.
Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek.
We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres.
We have 1km of creek frontage.
The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them.
It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots.
There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle.
This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower.
Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits).
The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure.
Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation.
The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more.
We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section.
Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to anyone with the swag, tent, camper, caravan, or motorhome. You must be self-sufficient, with your own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go.
For those who prefer the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV.
Linen is not supplied.
If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View Rd - do not go that way - go through Dayboro Rd.
For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges.
Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers.
At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use.
Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them.

It may be a bit of a walk from some of the campsite. Under no circumstances leave toilet paper (among other very unpleasant things) in the bush surrounding the campsites.
We ask that you please take all rubbish with you on departure and leave the area as you found it. All camp sites must be left in the same condition as you found it absolutely no litter of any kind. Messy campers will be reported to Hipcamp. Under no circumstances place any rubbish in any of the rubbish bins along Reeves Road as our neighbours are very unappreciative of this.
All this is just 5 minutes from Imbil and Kandanga where you can find everything you need for a great camping trip.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve.
We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking.
Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome.
The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping.
The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property.
The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic
Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day.
There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal.

Our property is located on the site of the First Kilkivan Township and was home to a gold rush in 1868 where a 73 oz nugget was discovered.
Guests will have access to portable toilets and fire pit throughout their stay.
Gold is still found in and around the creek with fossicking permitted at an extra daily rate of $25 per person. As this is private property we require that all the QLD Fossicking Act rules and regulations are followed this includes having your own permit which must be supplied before fossicking is permitted. These rules include no machinery or pump operated sluices such as high banking sluices.
Detectors are welcome and some great finds have been found with them including gold and coins from the 1860’s.
Large groups are welcome.
There are many great shaded camping spots along the creek or a large open area of about 50 acres for larger groups. There is also a year round swimming hole fed by a solar bore on the property for anyone wanting to cool down.
Kids under 12 are free but if fossicking must be covered by a permit. Pets are welcome.

The property is located at the end of Cemetery Rd Kilkivan. If you google Kilkivan Cemetery it will get you there :) Drive through the iron gate at the end of the road just past the Cemetery on your left, veer right after coming through gate. Drive over the creek crossing and pick your spot. There are no designated spots, first in best dressed. Generators are welcome but must be switched off at night as not to disturb other campers.

Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV.
See Extras for booking park and ride option if your vehicle is 2WD.
UPDATE as of late June 2026 - the creek is freshly flushed and has water in it. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills.
Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting.
Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience!
You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk.
Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars.
All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal.
NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors and single-night bookings. These can be found in the Extras and must be added at the time of booking for your request to be accepted.
NOTE: Please also indicate that you are 4WD and your camping platform and size as you book. This enables us to site you appropriately.
NOTE: Each site has a stand alone camping toilet bucket, located behind a small shade cloth screen near your camp site. You’ll have a seat to sit on, a lid to close, and the need to throw some Leaves and grass in each time you go.

The campsite has lovely green grass, access to the pool and a picnic table, and fire pit. Compost toilet, hot bush shower and rubbish/recycling facilities.
We are a small hobby farm with Bee Hives, Dogs, Cats, Chickens (a few roosters) horses, cows and a couple of pet pigs.
We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling.

We neighbor the Mary2 Bay Rail Trail, which starts at the Urangan Pier and goes to Maryborough. Next door to us is the Vernon Conservation Park with 1,600 acres to explore by walking, cycling or horse riding, so bring your ebikes and ride all the way into town if you are keen.

We are the only Hipcamp in the District with a real amenity block and flush toilets, hot showers and powered sites! No designated camp spots.
Welcome to Kia Ora Pony Club grounds, a pretty and flat 10-acre property to camp on. We are located just off Tin Can Bay Road between Gympie and Rainbow Beach which is perfect retreat for outdoor enthusiasts. You can also bring your horse to go for a ride on the beach. Dogs welcome too.
Perfect for big groups camping together for the weekend or travellers passing through.
Whether you're a fishing enthusiast or a horse lover, our location has something for everyone. Bring your boat and enjoy a day of fishing at Tin Can Bay or bring your horses and explore the stunning beach trails at Rainbow beach. We provide secure and spacious yards, along with ample grassy areas for your horses to graze and kids to run.
If you are sleeping in a swag you are welcome to roll it on our deck.

Over summer you can park anywhere on the property and enjoy the green parklands with the security of a fenced area. Fires OK.
Horse people - we have undercover yards, an arena and round yard to use or graze, send us your horse health dec before your arrival please. Unfortunately Hipcamp Insurance no longer covers horse riding, so no riding on the grounds unless you are a member of another pony club, Equestrian Australia or have your own private insurance. Heaps of rides just out the gate though through forestry tracks. (turn left out of the grounds, then left again onto Priddy Rd, cross Tin Can Bay Rd and ride for miles into the forestry) Ask any questions , we are fellow horse people afterall :)

We have a beautiful 600 acre cattle property with plenty of room to spread out where other campers are nowhere in sight. Here you will find that the serenity meets the bush. We have beautiful flat grassy sites situated on Gootchie Creek, and around our very large spring fed billabongs that never dry up. Come and enjoy the green flat grassy sites along the creek, you may even see the resident platypus.Enjoy some wildlife watching and escape from the city. Always love our time at Hopevale! Mountain View is a beautiful, private site. We loved the wallaby mum and baby that hung around most of the weekend! The site (and the campground as a whole) is really well maintained, loved the low firepit for optimal heat. Jason and his family are great hosts. A truly peaceful weekend away!

The site itself was incredibly clean and well-maintained, giving us the perfect balance of a rustic adventure with the comfort of a spotless, private setup. Lovely property with very nice Camp-site. We stayed at Mountain View. A lovely little glade under the trees by the creek (dry in winter). Peaceful and relaxing. Jason greeted us and was lovely. We did two of the suggested hikes which were great fun and the dam looks awesome for a summer swim. Nearest mobile reception is 20mins away at Widgee servo... which has a lovely little booth style Cafe. All round awesome visit and will definitely come back! Thank you!

Beautifully maintained property, grass you can play a game of footy on in bare feet (also good for frisbee with the dog as happy for them to be off lead at your site), hot showers (very nice in winter), a little dam in the sun with a kayak, and the walks Jason has made on his property (loved the 2hr hike up to the caves), all made for a lovely couple of days away. Also nice to have no phone reception. Thank you!

If you love bush camping but still appreciate a few comforts, this campground is a gem. The toilets and showers were exceptionally clean, the grass was beautifully manicured, and the sites felt private and well spaced out. It had the perfect balance of being surrounded by nature while still feeling cared for and comfortable. We could relax and enjoy the peaceful bush setting without feeling crowded by other campers. Definitely one of the nicest bush camping experiences we’ve had and we’d happily return.

This was our third stay at Windmill Hollow, and it's easily our favourite camping spot! The host is always friendly and welcoming. Firewood is available to purchase onsite, which is super convenient.
The campsite is quiet, family-friendly, and has clean shower and toilet facilities. There's plenty of space for the kids to run around and explore.
Although it rained the entire time we were camping this trip, we still had a great experience! Our first-ever rainy camp has officially been ticked off the list, and we made some wonderful memories.
Highly recommend – we'll definitely be back again!

Fantastic view & a peaceful campsite, nicely spaced apart, a good distance between campsites.
Things to note, the wind can be problematic if you are on one of the ridges. The ground is quite uneven so bring your levelling gear & you may find it tricky to set up your chairs & tables outside & around the fire because of this. Definitely useable but might be difficult if you have mobility issues & require level ground for stability.
One of the best campsites we have been to as far as views go. Good size fireplaces.
Our spot had some shade during the day but still plenty of sun for solar recharging , and a couple of trees to place a hammock. (Not all of the sites on our ridge had shade).
No problems with mobile reception as it was excellent. (Great if you do need it)
Good communication with the owner & we had some horsey visitors each night as they wander around during the night, which was not a problem at all, only mentioning as I assumed horses slept once it was dark but they continue to graze. Who knew 🤷🏼♀️
Overall, beautiful views & a quiet spot if you have a van. I imagine if you have a rooftop tent, tent or a hybrid van it could be a pretty (very) flappy night if the wind is up. I think some sites are more protected, so worth checking if you are worried. Not something we have had to really think about before even though we did expect some wind due to the location & weather.

This is a little piece of heaven just minutes from Chinchilla Qld. Hosts are absolutely wonderful, the drive through sites are not crowded together and each comes with it's own rustic fire pit on it's own concrete slab.
Fire wood is available for purchase or you can bring your own. The amenities block has a laundry at one end. Power and water are available at most sites. At times the lagoons abound with bird life, the camping area is dotted with shade trees. The Camp Kitchen is a very decent size with a variety of cooking options. We couldn't get over the feeling of tranquility of this area even though it was close to Chinchilla and it's airport.
We loved this campground so much that we extended an extra 3 days, such was the serenity. We will definitely stay again when next we visit Chinchilla, thank you Shelly and Murray, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
