During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings.
All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding.
Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek.
We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres.
We have 1km of creek frontage.
The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. Please note the there is a fishing ban from 01st August until 31st October in all local creeks due to the Mary River Cod breeding season. You can still fish in nearby Lake Borumba. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them.
It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots.
There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle.
This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower.
Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits).
The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure.
Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation.
The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more.
We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section.
Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to anyone with the swag, tent, camper, caravan, or motorhome. You must be self-sufficient, with your own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go.
For those who prefer the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV.
Linen is not supplied.
If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View Rd - do not go that way - go through Dayboro Rd.
For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

Heaps of rides just out the gate though through forestry tracks. Our property is located on the site of the First Kilkivan Township and was home to a gold rush in 1868 where a 73 oz nugget was discovered.
Guests will have access to portable toilets and fire pit throughout their stay.
Gold is still found in and around the creek with fossicking permitted at an extra daily rate of $25 per person. As this is private property we require that all the QLD Fossicking Act rules and regulations are followed this includes having your own permit which must be supplied before fossicking is permitted. These rules include no machinery or pump operated sluices such as high banking sluices.
Detectors are welcome and some great finds have been found with them including gold and coins from the 1860’s.
Large groups are welcome.
There are many great shaded camping spots along the creek or a large open area of about 50 acres for larger groups. There is also a year round swimming hole fed by a solar bore on the property for anyone wanting to cool down.
Kids under 12 are free but if fossicking must be covered by a permit. Pets are welcome.

The property is located at the end of Cemetery Rd Kilkivan. If you google Kilkivan Cemetery it will get you there :) Drive through the iron gate at the end of the road just past the Cemetery on your left, veer right after coming through gate. Drive over the creek crossing and pick your spot. There are no designated spots, first in best dressed. Generators are welcome but must be switched off at night as not to disturb other campers.

We ask that you please take all rubbish with you on departure and leave the area as you found it. All camp sites must be left in the same condition as you found it absolutely no litter of any kind. Messy campers will be reported to Hipcamp. Under no circumstances place any rubbish in any of the rubbish bins along Reeves Road as our neighbours are very unappreciative of this.
All this is just 5 minutes from Imbil and Kandanga where you can find everything you need for a great camping trip.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve.
We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking.
Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome.
The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping.
The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property.
The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic
Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day.
There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal.

Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV.

UPDATE as of early August 2026 - the creek is dry.. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills.
Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon.
Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience!
You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk.
Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars.
All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal.
NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors, single-night bookings and late check ins (after 6pm). These can be found in the Extras and must be added at the time of booking for your request to be accepted.
NOTE: Please also indicate that you are 4WD and your camping platform and size as you book. This enables us to site you appropriately.
NOTE: Each site has a stand alone camping toilet bucket, located behind a small shade cloth screen near your camp site. You’ll have a seat to sit on, a lid to close, and the need to throw some Leaves and grass in each time you go.

This is a full working farm and we restore vintage caravans and classic cars. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy.
We have a beautiful vintage bus that we have converted into a farm shop and you can buy olives, relishes, honey, jam, seasonings, magnesium and more.
We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or function (Christmas etc) just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm.
We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim.
The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges.
Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers.
At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use.
Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them.

- Yeates Road is the only access to Porfiri Rd and the campsites - NOT Stokes Road or Range Road
- Porfiri Road (in places) does not do well after heavy rains! So please advise me of your vehicle type in your booking.
- Small low profile tyres, sedans and hatchbacks will struggle
- Motor-homes and large campervans cannot make the drive (regardless of the weather)
- AWD and 4x4 no problems. Vehicles with lift will have no problems.
Our farm features bush and cleared areas on undulating hills. We are 100% off grid with fresh drinkable borehole water
The campsite has lovely green grass, access to the pool and a picnic table, and fire pit. Compost toilet, hot bush shower and rubbish/recycling facilities.
We are a small hobby farm with Bee Hives, Dogs, Cats, Chickens (a few roosters) horses, cows and a couple of pet pigs.
We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling.

4WD Recommended - dirt/gravel road and two creek crossings (through the creek bed) to get here.
We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here.
This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here.
No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.

I. run a cattle grazing farm in Duingal, right on the Burnett) River, 18km out of Gin Gin and 60km from Bundaberg.
We have 100 acres of paradise with many sites to choose from, either along our 300m of Burnett river frontage or along the winding Duingal creek tucked into seclusion.
For the bigger vans we have sites up on top of the property
overlooking the Burnett with just a short walk down to the water.
There are NO Ammenities available so own toilet is a MUST!
Bring your fishing rods, kayaks and walking shoes.
There's some great fishing here including barramundi, perch, yellow belly mullet, gar - and plenty of catfish to keep the kids entertained!
Don’t have a kayak, no worries.
We also have kayaks available for hire.
We also have the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets here, with beautiful birdlife including hawks and water eagles. Great for bird watching and photography!
All campsites have access to the water unless we are advised per booking.
Less than 5km down the road you will find Wallaville where there is a great local Wallaville pub, and a corner store that offers great pizza. Telstra is available for
communication, and we are also only 18km from Gin Gin and
around 50km from Bundaberg.
Campfires permitted in the designated areas only, bring your own fire pit when possible as we have a limited number of fire pits available.
when fire restrictions/bans are not in place. Plenty of fallen timber around the place to collect for firewood. I suggest U bring wood for the ist night, In case it has rained & saves the hassle first up allowing U to chill out sooner 🥂
Well behaved pets welcome, but they must be kept under control and you must pick up after them.

Jason was a great host, facilities were great & better than we imagined. We stayed in Windmill hollow, which in my opinion is the best (super private, spacious & the furthest away from the toilets but still a very short and manageable walk - even for my grandparents in their 80’s). Due to the weather, the creeks and holes obviously weren’t running, and the dam was low but still fun to use the kayak in. Lots of cattle, horses, birds and wallabies. Saw one brown snake on the drive in (super far away from the actual property but on the gravel road coming in - so drive slowly!) stars were incredible at night and generous amount of fire wood. Can’t wait to come back when it’s had some rain!

Hopevale Adventure Camping was an amazing place to stay and easily one of the best Hipcamps we’ve visited. There are five sites to choose from, and we stayed at the Mountain View site, which had an incredible view of the hillside.
Jason was a great host, friendly and helpful, but also happy to leave you to do your own thing. He was always on hand if we had a question, needed a bit of help, or wanted some extra firewood.
There’s plenty to do without feeling like you need to be entertained, swimming in the dam, bushwalking, exploring the property, or simply sitting back and enjoying the serenity. It’s also not too far from Gympie if you want to head into town for a look around.
We stayed with our two kids and had an absolute ball. The hot shower and long-drop toilet are also great extras, making it a really comfortable option whether you’re camping in a tent, camper or caravan.
We’ll definitely be coming back!

What a place, we stayed at Windmill Hollow, Currently very dry, but a beautiful place, clean toilet and shower, great little damn to swim in and a nice walk to what would be the water fall when flowing. Great walk to the hidden cave, which was really enjoyable and a pretty good workout. Can’t wait to go back after the summer rains as the place will be even more beautiful and I think the water fall will be amazing in the wet. Directions were easy to follow, Jason the host was great and very responsive. We will be back.

Beautiful little camping spot - a lot of the sites are quite exposed (as expected being up on a hill) so be prepared for the wind! View was stunning, sites were spread far apart so we had our privacy, view was spectacular, lake was gorgeous for swimming and canoeing. Horses and cows roamed around which was beautiful and managed to have a gentle pat. Really lovely spot

Great Camping at Rangetop Farm. Veiw was wonderful from our site over to the glasshouse Mountains. Horses wondering the property were friendly and it was great they were comfortable to be around us. The Lake on the property was nice and deep perfect for a dip or to take the canoe out for a lap. Close enough for a quick trip to the shops if needed but far enough away to forget your troubles. Will definitely be back.

We had such a wonderful time at Maya Nature Park! The place is beautiful, with amazing views, and everything was clean and well-maintained, including the bathrooms and toilets.
Lucas is a fantastic host,friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. My family and I had a great time, especially the kids, who absolutely loved the fire pit and all the toys provided!
We’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature! 😊
