We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle.
2 mins to Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop, 11 minutes to surf beach Bennett Beach 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach.
Pets are welcome please pick up after them. All dogs from now on must be on a leash at all times as you cannot predict what other campers's dog is going to be like. Any dog on the NSW dangerous dogs list is absolutely not welcome here.
Free use of fire pits. 1st wheelbarrow of firewood is free. After that $15 for 20kg bag.
Hot showers and decent toilets, Good mobile phone signal. Two Communal Fridges .There is lots of space for campers. We have two sites with shade, the rest without. We suggest you bring a decent quality gazebo or equivalent. If you choose a non-shady site and then it's sunny, it is beyond our control.
We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm.
PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents.
2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking.
3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite.

5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a hill. we are creating more level campsites. Shade trees are being planted. But they are slow to grow.

The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store.

Life on the Farm
Days here follow the rhythm of the land and the river. Wander through the cane, taste sweet juice straight from the stalk, and see how sugarcane is grown and harvested. Enjoy bike riding, walking trails, quiet fishing spots, and kayaking or canoeing straight from the property. The Ashby Creek swimming hole offers a calm, sheltered place for a refreshing dip.
Life on the River
This part of the Clarence is famous for water skiing, boating, and long, glassy stretches perfect for exploring. The fishing here is excellent, with calm water and plenty of great spots right from the property. We often boat across to Maclean for supplies, giving guests a real taste of river life.
The sunsets here are something else — short, stunning bursts of colour that light up the whole river and paddocks. As the sun drops, the sky turns gold, pink, and deep orange, and the Clarence reflects it all like glass. It’s a quiet, peaceful moment where everything slows down and the whole farm glows.
Exploring the Clarence Valley
There’s plenty to do nearby — enjoy a meal at the Harwood Hotel, stop for morning tea on Chatsworth Island, or join in local favourites like the Maclean Cane Harvest Festival, Maclean Highland Gathering, Yamba, Iluka and Brooms head famous beaches and the Grafton Races. All campers must be self contained (removing rubbish and MUST have own chemical/composting toilet)

All of the campsites are relatively flat.
Sites are large and drive in drive out. Super easy access.
All sites are within walking distance of the toilets and also the kayaks and bikes.

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was such a beautiful, peaceful and family-friendly farm stay.
The kids loved making full use of the playground and especially enjoyed taking the kayaks out onto the river from the property. The afternoon farm tour was a real highlight too — they got to feed the ducks, chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits, horse and donkey, which they absolutely loved!
We also really appreciated the fresh fruit, eggs and herbs from the garden. The hosts were so lovely and welcoming, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stop on our travels.
We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to families travelling with kids!

I stayed at Fame Mountain Camp for my partners birthday, with a group of friends. All I can say is how beautiful not only the view was, but how lovely the hosts were as well. They took their time to greet us and give us a few options on what site to select. The campsite is very well set up, especially for beginner campers (like us), with hot water showers and flush toilets. There’s a shed of wood, with all the necessary equipment to chop it. There was a trampoline, pool table and ping pong table. And the communal area had a fridge, microwave and kettle. We had an amazing stay and couldn’t have had a better time anywhere else. Thank you so much Mei and Jon.

We were blessed with terrible weather and despite this Mei offered us shelter in the amazing amenities. Lovely to have a hot shower. I cannot stress how good the amenities are. Beautiful views. We were the only guests but I can imagine that if it’s busy you are quite close to your neighbours like at a traditional campsite.

This is an absolutely delightful location and stay. Cheryl is a wonderful host and if you have kids we 100% recommend joining her to feed the animals - goats, ducks, chickens, sheep, rabbits, guinea fowl, as well as a horse and a donkey. Although slightly on the expensive side for no power or water - we extended our stay as we enjoyed it so much. Our site was very shaded - so if you need solar don't pick site 3. Also the river was lovely to swim in.

The directions were clear and easy to follow, making the property straightforward to locate. Getting to the property you do drive along a dirt road for roughly around 4kms. The campsite is flat and situated close to the water, offering beautiful scenery and plenty of space for fishing. The campground isn’t super large so those seeking complete privacy may find it less suitable. However, there is an option to book the entire site for exclusive use. We really enjoyed camping here.

The kids loved feeding the animals and swimming in the river.
They had bikes, boogie boards and kayaks for the kids to have free use which means we didn't have to take ours.

Beautiful large, green and spacious campsites. Kids had plenty of fun on the equipment provided and enjoyed riding their bikes around. The creek had shallow sections which was perfect for the kids to walk through and explore. Kids also loved being able to feed the farm animals. Owners were very lovely, chatty and accommodating. Checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. We were offered to pick some lemons and blood oranges from the fruit trees after feeding the farm animals which the kids also enjoyed

Hunter Valley
Just north of Sydney and Newcastle, the Hunter Valley is one of Australia’s most renowned wine regions. Sip semillon and shiraz at cellar door tastings, visit family-run boutique wineries, then pitch your tent or park your RV amid the vineyards or along the Hunter River. Just to the north, the World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests of Barrington Tops National Park afford endless options for bushwalking, fishing, and camping.
South North Coast
Beautiful beaches and wild bushlands await along the southern stretch of the North Coast between Newcastle and Port Macquarie. Go sandboarding at the Stockton Bight Sand Dunes, take a dolphin-watching cruise from Port Stephens, or enjoy kayaking, fishing, and camping at Myall Lakes National Park. Further north, Port Macquarie is the gateway to numerous lakes, lagoons, and wildlife reserves.
Central North Coast
Holidaymakers flock to Coffs Harbour for its water sports, wildlife-spotting, and whale-watching cruises, but the coastal town is also the gateway to some of NSW’s most popular national parks. Dorrigo National Park has spectacular waterfalls and scenic trails through UNESCO-listed rainforest, while there’s great camping at nearby Guy Fawkes River National Park and Nymboi-Binderay National Park.
Northern Rivers
Byron Bay is the quintessential NSW beach town, known for its epic surf and bohemian vibes, but Ballina, Brunswick Heads, and Tweed Heads are equally good choices for coastal campers. Don’t miss the Rainforest Way scenic drive, the beaches and lagoons of Bundjalung National Park, and the Cape Byron Headland Reserve, Australia’s easternmost point.
