We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle. We have GOOD mobile phone signal, Five hot showers and 8 clean flush toilets in our campground plus we have FREE WIFI in the communal area (dinning tables/chairs/fridges/pool table/TV...) for all the campers. 2 mins to South Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop in Tea Gardens, 11 minutes to surf beach Bennett Beach 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach in Hawks Nest Pets are welcome please pick up after them. All dogs from now on must be on a leash at all times as you cannot predict what other campers's dog is going to be like. Any dog on the NSW dangerous dogs list is not welcome here. Each site all has a fire pit free to use. Firewood is $25 per bag for 20kg of hardwood or BYO. Hot showers and decent flush toilets, Good mobile phone signal and free wifi in the communal shed. Two Communal Fridges .There is lots of space for campers. We have 4 sites with shade, the rest without. We suggest you bring a decent quality gazebo or equivalent. If you choose a non-shady site and then it's sunny, it is beyond our control. We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. 4) NO check in after 9:00 pm. If you are a group larger than two people, the check in time is between midday and sunset. If you arrive after sunset make sure you have a torch. If in doubt call. 5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a hill. we are creating more level campsites. Shade trees are being planted. But they are slow to grow. 6) Please check weather report a minimum of 7 days before you arrive and CANCEL your booking if you are not sure. 7) We cannot control the wind, the sun, rain, or lack of rain.

The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store. Pet welcome on leash and under control. Campfires are permitted within local regulations. Absolutely loved the trip! The sites are very spacious, right next to a river where you can swim or use the free kayak that are available. (We even saw some turtles) Getting to the location was very easy to find and the host were very nice. They even have a feed the farm animal where you can interact with a range of different animals ($1pp each day) it was pretty good, great for little kids. There is even a small playground with swings that can keep the small ones entertained. There’s toilets (pits) but are very clean and looked after. No showers but there is a sink with water. No BBQ but there is a communal area that is undercover. Would recommend for a weekend away!

We had an incredible time at Mei’s campsite!! Mei and her husband were so friendly and welcoming, and Mei made sure we had everything we needed when we arrived after dark. The campsite itself was absolutely stunning, and all the other campers were super friendly too! Such a lovely experience, would highly recommend! 😊

Mei and John were fantastic hosts that were full of humour and responsive with every question we had! The site was private and quiet at night which made falling asleep very easy. The campground is large and has a private fire pit at each site for campfires. They also have a thoughtful communal area with fridges/freezers and hot showers on site. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a campsite on the mid north coast. With their constant upgrades, we can't wait to visit them again!

3 nights at The Farm-Urunga riverfront camp 🏕️

Wife, Dog and I shared some fantastic days here. Beautiful drive in from the end of the road with maintained gravel through tall stands of timber. Large, well prepared sites, each with a truck rim firepit. Trays with firewood were available to purchase. Every camp group had a dog, but the less well mannered dogs were on leads and the others frolicked together. Cattle were in the neighbouring paddock and although curious, were not intimidating. I brought my own kayak, but there were kayaks and lifejackets at the boat ramp waiting to be used, free of charge. I caught a decent flathead from the site, but returned it for someone else to catch. Our hosts were that perfect combination of checking in on our needs, social chat and giving us space to enjoy their property on our own. Beautiful hamlet of Urunga 6 minutes drive away. Highly recommended by all humans and hounds on our trip.

10/10 place to camp! Easy to drive to, great access, excellent hosts and absolutely beautiful place! We spent all our time relaxing watching the cattle of an afternoon, and swimming and kayaking in the river 😀

Great location right on the Kalang River. Hosts are very responsive and friendly. The location suits all types of self contained campers. Very short trip into Urunga if you need anything. Dump point even closer. Will definitely return. For those into MTB, you’re 25mins from Jacks Ridge MTB Park, 10min to Cows With Guns and about 50min to Wedding Bells.

great place to pull up for a few nights. large sites with plenty of room between them. super friendly hosts. RV dump point 10 minutes away.. highly recommend

Where to go

Hunter Valley

Just north of Sydney and Newcastle, the Hunter Valley is one of Australia’s most renowned wine regions. Sip semillon and shiraz at cellar door tastings, visit family-run boutique wineries, then pitch your tent or park your RV amid the vineyards or along the Hunter River. Just to the north, the World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests of Barrington Tops National Park afford endless options for bushwalking, fishing, and camping.

South North Coast

Beautiful beaches and wild bushlands await along the southern stretch of the North Coast between Newcastle and Port Macquarie. Go sandboarding at the Stockton Bight Sand Dunes, take a dolphin-watching cruise from Port Stephens, or enjoy kayaking, fishing, and camping at Myall Lakes National Park. Further north, Port Macquarie is the gateway to numerous lakes, lagoons, and wildlife reserves.

Central North Coast

Holidaymakers flock to Coffs Harbour for its water sports, wildlife-spotting, and whale-watching cruises, but the coastal town is also the gateway to some of NSW’s most popular national parks. Dorrigo National Park has spectacular waterfalls and scenic trails through UNESCO-listed rainforest, while there’s great camping at nearby Guy Fawkes River National Park and Nymboi-Binderay National Park.

Northern Rivers

Byron Bay is the quintessential NSW beach town, known for its epic surf and bohemian vibes, but Ballina, Brunswick Heads, and Tweed Heads are equally good choices for coastal campers. Don’t miss the Rainforest Way scenic drive, the beaches and lagoons of Bundjalung National Park, and the Cape Byron Headland Reserve, Australia’s easternmost point.
