The peace and tranquillity and spectacular scenery make this the ideal place to relax and unwind or the perfect spot to base yourself while you explore everything the Tweed Shire and the Northern Rivers Region has to offer.
On arrival you get to choose your own unpowered spot. You then set up camp. The caretaker will check you in at the spot you have chosen towards the end of the day.
Misty Mountain Campgrounds is suitable for tent campers, caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes..
PLEASE NOTE - Children aged between 3 and 15 are booked under Child Rates, Children 2 and under are Free and do not have to be booked in.
Misty River Campground is also available for General Camping during Easter and the Xmas break and Public Holiday Weekends.

1. STRICTLY No Caravans, RV's, Tents or Any Camping site is to be set up within 50 meters of the creek.
2. No more that 20 people camping on the property at one time.
3. Zero impact to the land and surrounds treat it like you would a national park.
4. All waste must be bagged and taken off site with you. The rubbish bins in the street are not ours. They belong to the people that live in the valley. All rubbish must be taken home with you!

There are plenty of activities to try around town, from bushwalking, exploring the Rail Trail in Murwillumbah and downhill mountain biking at the Uki Mountain Bike Park (Less then 8Km from our property).
The property is just
5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store.
Pet welcome on leash and under control. Campfires are permitted within local regulations.
We do have a bathtub’s on four sites. Campers should leave no trace.
We are a short drive from the beautiful Hell’s hole, Unicorn falls and Mavis Kitchens. Take a day trip to Byron Bay (50min) Brunswick Heads (40min) Mullumbimby (35min) Tyalgum (30min). 45mins from Gold Coast airport.

1. For the piece and quiet of other campers all check-ins must be before 4.30pm during the colder months. Check ins after 7pm may be turned away in busy times.
2. No Fireworks - this is very unsettling for our livestock
3. 9pm quiet time.
4. No drones in the camping area, for the privacy of other campers
5. Generators are allowed for short period of time but not permitted after 8pm.

Located on the Mid North Coast NSW, 4kms off the Pacific Highway, and a quick 13/15-minute drive to the holiday township of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest.
Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. During NSW School Holidays, host led animal interactions will be available at designated times.

Step onto our four‑generation working cane and cattle farm, where the smell of fresh‑cut cane, the hum of farm life, and the shimmer of the Clarence River set the tone for your stay. Your adventure begins at the entrance, marked by “Rusty,” our old sugarcane harvester — a true piece of local history and a favourite photo stop.
The winding driveway leads you through the paddocks, past different cane varieties and grazing horses and cattle. The front horse paddock will soon become our upgraded camp kitchen and guest area, and we’re excited to keep improving the space while staying true to the farm’s heritage.
Life on the Farm
Days here follow the rhythm of the land and the river. Wander through the cane, taste sweet juice straight from the stalk, and see how sugarcane is grown and harvested. Enjoy bike riding, walking trails, quiet fishing spots, and kayaking or canoeing straight from the property. The Ashby Creek swimming hole offers a calm, sheltered place for a refreshing dip.
Life on the River
This part of the Clarence is famous for water skiing, boating, and long, glassy stretches perfect for exploring. The fishing here is excellent, with calm water and plenty of great spots right from the property. We often boat across to Maclean for supplies, giving guests a real taste of river life.
The sunsets here are something else — short, stunning bursts of colour that light up the whole river and paddocks. As the sun drops, the sky turns gold, pink, and deep orange, and the Clarence reflects it all like glass. It’s a quiet, peaceful moment where everything slows down and the whole farm glows.
Exploring the Clarence Valley
There’s plenty to do nearby — enjoy a meal at the Harwood Hotel, stop for morning tea on Chatsworth Island, or join in local favourites like the Maclean Cane Harvest Festival, Maclean Highland Gathering, Yamba, Iluka and Brooms head famous beaches and the Grafton Races. I have a small private property with grass campsites by a tidal outlet to Port Stephens harbour. We do not offer secluded camp sites away from other people on large acreage.
You can spend your days fishing, kayaking or enjoying Nelson Bay and surrounding areas and beaches which are only 15 minutes away. Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi.
Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Our 40 acre property is home to four quiet, secure, exclusive river front sites on the mighty Clarence River. Boating, fishing and crabbing literally at your doorstep. And it's just a 15 minute drive into the towns of Yamba and Maclean.
To ensure all our guests have a comfortable and spacious experience, each campsite is designated for one camp set up only (eg one caravan or camper trailer or tent) This allows us to maintain a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere with plenty of space between sites.
The campsites are situated right on the bank of the mighty Clarence River, perfectly suited for campers who enjoy the peace and quiet.
Please note:
Our sites are available for booking up to 3 months in advance.
Our property is inhabited by a few cattle and kangaroos and on occasions a couple of visiting brolgas. The private boat ramp is accessible at the main house which is about 100 metres from your campsite. You are welcome to make use of our canoe or kayak which are kept up at the main house.
Pets are welcome but must be kept under control.
Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place.
Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. Firewood is available for purchase.
Campers must bring their own toilet and be fully self sufficient. Leave the site as you found it and take all waste with you on departure. The campsite is accessible by 2WD and can accommodate caravans, campervans and camper trailers. The sites are generally level and grassy.

We are only 15 mins from Mount Warning and 30 mins from Byron Bay. There are plenty of National Parks, bushwalks, cycling paths, near by fishing spots and historical places to visit. The fantastic Northern Rivers Rail Trail is just across the road. We are located near the quaint village of Stokers Siding. Enjoy 13 acres of picturesque countryside with running creeks, lush green paddocks and a fruit orchid.
We have very friendly alpacas who love selfies, and Scottish babydoll lambs who love meeting people.
Set up your campervan or park your caravan on the edge of the flowing creek shaded with lush foliage overhanging from the trees. We only offer two sites for your peace and privacy.
There is access to a portaloo. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own shower, and drinking water. Please respect the environment and take everything with you when you leave. Please note this is just a farm portaloo not a glamping bathroom. Please make sure you clean it on departure.
Please note:
- We are dog friendly
- No amenities so campers must be self-contained and leave no trace
- Firepits available on both sites. Feel free to collect dead debris from around the property.
- Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place

Valley View Escape is a 500 acre working dairy farm located in the beautiful Nambucca Valley just 25 minutes off the highway. There is stunning 360 views of mountain ranges and Lake Lumby from all our sites.
We offer powered sites and unpowered sites which are all level grounded with grass. There is non potable water available.
The property is generally accessible with 2WD vehicles in dry conditions. However, access may become difficult after a sufficient amount of rain. Front wheel drive vehicles may struggle to access the property, particularly in wet or soft ground condition (eg; towing a caravans or large camper vans). Please message before booking if unsure.
Our powered sites are conveniently located close by the amenities with flushing toilet, hot shower and dump point.
Enjoy and relax at our communal picnic area with fire pit, shade, picnic table and pontoon on Lake Lumby which is great for kayaking and swimming. Also access to local creek at the front of property.

Had a great time at Minimbah Fishing Lodge. Was the perfect spot to catch up with some old mates, relax, and enjoy the water. We managed to land a few fish and even pulled in some crabs, which made it even better. Great atmosphere, easygoing vibe. Will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved staying at the Riverside camp. Perfect location right on the river and camp sites are extremely spaced out. Fantastic facilities and loved seeing the wildlife as well as the resident Geese! Kayaks were great and really enjoyed kayaking down the river. Will absolutely be back!

This hipcamp has everything we wanted for our trip. Right on the water, well maintained site, fireplace, quiet, lots of wildlife around, kangaroos, birds, and some farm animals, cows and horses.

Louise was super lovely I turned up at like 8pm in winter so well after dark, fully expecting to be told that she didn’t have space but she was super helpful, and welcomed me anyway. She has a nice little field round the back of her home where you park up. She gave me a tour which included a picnic spot under cover with campfire, kettle and Microwave. As well as a toilet and hot shower. There was a plug in spot to if needed for laptops and such. Area was super quiet and just across the road there’s an awesome ray, reptile and shark rehab center where you can get up close and personal with the animals. Would definitely 100% recommend.

Had the choice of sites near the river. Easy access for our kayaks. Nice waterway and managed to catch a couple of nice bream from the bank in the evening. Fire pit was a bonus. Will be back.
