Wayper Creek flows though the property, and there are manicured lawns, a large toilet and shower block with hot showers, a caravan dump point, a large BBQ shelter, firepit, and lots of lovely spots to enjoy the plethora of wildlife. During holiday season we have a second campsite opened, which has lovely amenities, too. We regularly have abseilers come down our creek, as a set of 7 waterfalls is only a 60-minute hike through the creek away. It is a stunning place for relaxation. With limited phone reception. You can spend your days fishing, kayaking or enjoying Nelson Bay and surrounding areas and beaches which are only 15 minutes away. Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi. Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Yes there are mozzies because you are near water, so bring repellent. Pets are welcome but must stay on a leash throughout your stay. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Please BYO firewood. Fires are only permitted when there are no fire restrictions and in the designated fire pit and designated fire pit area for your own fire pit. Children 16 & under stay for free. The bungalow is located approx. 25m from the main residence, and the campsite is located approx. 300m from the main residence tucked away in the paddocks and forest. We are onsite and available if needed. Sugar Beach Ranch is an operating farm with staff onsite caring for animals and maintaining the grounds. You just have to check this hipcamp for yourself. The very kind host , Karen is a beautiful free spirit & so so accommodating. My wife & I stayed in the very comfy room at the end of Karen's private residence where we had our own newly renovated bathroom with soft white towels, soaps , shampoo etc...which was fabulous....also freshly cut gardenias on beside was a very nice touch. Access to the camp kitchen with full facilities & a living area/rec room was briiliant & sure makes for a great stay. Karen's surrounding garden was really beautiful...a long chat hanging over the front rail during our garden tour with Karen was delightful. Six campsites are available surrounding the ex- fish farm dams where Karen's horses & alpaca roam freely... Jalum is super relaxing...just up the road from Mooball where you'll find a beaut pub , Moo Moo Roadhouse for fabulous food , drinks & souvenirs Also popular there at Mooball is the rail trail with E bikes for hire. We enjoyed a gorgeous country drive with lush green hills crossing the NSW/QLD border from Murwillumbah through to Nerang...the amazing Beechmont Tavern was packed with punters to be entertained by back to back bands for a fun Saturday arvo/night... Lots to do in the area...even an old old railway tunnel to see on nearby Hulls Road to the Sth & just up the road to the Nth of Jalum on Pottsville Road is The Sleepy Barn where you can chill with a morning coffee or an evening cocktail along with delicious snacks/meals. 💯% score

Lucy’s place was incredible. The facilities were so clean and well thought out. the hot shower was amazing after swimming in the lake, and having the sauna was such a luxury touch. The whole property feels peaceful and private, and we had everything we needed for a really relaxing weekend. Lucy was so friendly and helpful, and made the whole stay feel easy and welcoming. Would 100% come back.

We had such a great stay at Petaurus Garden! Chris was an awesome host — he upgraded us to a larger tent since it was just me and my husband, and made sure we had everything we needed, including extra torches, lighters, and other essentials. He even offered us a bike ride, which was such a nice touch. We also went kayaking and explored the walking trails around the property- such a peaceful and beautiful spot. There was hot water available for tea and coffee too, which made the mornings even better. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing nature getaway! We will definitely be back 💛

Chris has done a most wonderful job of setting up his camp sites. Our Glamping Tent was very well appointed, extremely comfortable and in a beautiful setting. The toilets and showers were extremely clean and a pleasure to use. Chris went to a lot of trouble throughout our stay to provide the most excellent service. He provided firewood, extra blankets, tea and coffee, local area advice and a level of service we were not expecting in a camp site. The location is also brilliant. Only 30 minutes from Evans Head meant we had the best of both worlds. Privacy and seclusion in a bush setting along with easy access to towns and beaches. We were blown away with the effort Chris has gone to in order to provide the best possible experience for his guests. Congratulations!! P.S. The on-site Paddymelons were an unexpected treat.

My friends and I stayed in the glamping tents. It was very spacious and comfy. The Pataurus Native Gardens was the most relaxing and peaceful place. Chris was a fantastic host and well accommodating for his guests. The place itself says it all, native plants and wildlife were amazing and spacious. Nature walk was so peaceful and cooling for us. I would say the all 3 days was so amazing. I will highly recommend this property. Thank you Chris for your warm nature and hospitality. Thank you for sharing your amazing native property with us.

This is an amazing place! We stayed for two nights, four adults and three kids and hired out the large glamping tent plus one tent site directly opposite. Chris is amazing! Such a warm and professional welcome and made us feel right at home. The glamping tent was very luxurious and all the amenities were wonderful. The shower was heavenly! Beautiful grounds, great walks for most abilities. We loved the fire pit, and loved toasting marshmallows and star gazing at night. Great wildlife on the property and the flora was great to walk through. We took a trip to Byron Bay during one of the days, very doable, the kids loved it. Highly recommend Chris and Petaurus Gardens...thank you so much for making our stay so memorable.

Chris is really friendly and helpful, offered us an upgrade to a larger tent and helped us to set the fire. Hot shower is also perfect. Recommend for couples to spend a weekend there! The best thing we spotted an echidna in the bush at night. Very cute.

My partner and I loved glamping in the tents at Petaurus Gardens. If you want a quiet getaway surrounded by gumtrees, waking up to bird calls, then this is the place for you. With trails leading to freshwater reservoirs, creeks, and a unique bush beach, there are spaces to explore. Chris was super helpful and kind. He set up our fire and made sure we had everything we needed, with advice on the cool spots on the land to check out. The rustic bathroom block was great for a hot shower at the end of a peaceful day.

Bellinger River Tourist Park took over in 2009. We have been slowly improving the land along the way and hope to make more improvements as we go. Adored by both young and old, you can find us halfway between Brisbane and Sydney, 3km off the Pacific Highway in the small town of Repton, just 10 minutes drive from the well known arts and craft town of Bellingen and just 15 minutes south of the conveniences and attractions of Coffs Harbour. Our park has a variety of accommodation options available to suit your needs and budget. Choose to stay at one of our powered or unpowered caravan and camping sites, with our waterfront sites large enough to accommodate all types of camper trailers, caravans and motor homes. As a Pet friendly park, you can bring along your additional family member on holidays with you, subject to the conditions of our Pet Policy. For the convenience of our guests, our Family Orientated Amenities block features 10 suites with hair dryers disabled shower, baby room, men’s room, guest laundry and a filtered water bottle station. We have a dump point located onsite with easy access. Bring your boat and your fishing rod along, and enjoy the magical sunrises and sunsets of the serene Bellinger River, right from your site. Pet Policy: Pets must be kept on a lead (retractable lead locked at no more than 1.5 metres) at all times and either retained by hand by an adult or tied up within your camp site. There is no “off leash area” in the park. Pets are not to be left unattended whilst you go out, they must go out with you. Pet owners are responsible for collection and disposal of their pet’s waste which must be sealed in a bag and disposed of in a rubbish bin. Bags are available for purchase in the office. Pet owners are personally responsible and liable for any and all injuries and/or property damage or losses in relation to any actions relating to their pet. For the enjoyments of all guests, please do not allow your pet to urinate etc on any guests site or property. This 300-acre bamboo property gives you total tranquillity in nature. There are boats and boards to use, and an island kingdom for kids to play. Kiss and release fishing (Perch) in the awesome lake, which is also great for swimming, and building bamboo rafts. Adventures awaits! Basic, off-grid camp kitchen, big weatherproof wedding venue space to hire, posh dunnies (composting toilets), and a hot water shower shack with a magic view of the lake! There is plenty of shade and we're dog-friendly. Well-behaved dogs are welcome off-lead. Endless space, and plenty of privacy, campers can choose a spot when they get here. A bundle of firewood is provided on arrival, and you're welcome to bring more with you if you need. Price is per person per night, kids under 16 half price.
