Our camp area is situated on Rowlands creek, offering 6 acres of creek flat with 3 waterholes. There are plenty of activities to try around town, from bushwalking, exploring the Rail Trail in Murwillumbah and downhill mountain biking at the Uki Mountain Bike Park (Less then 8Km from our property). The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store. Pet welcome on leash and under control. Campfires are permitted within local regulations. We do have a bathtub’s on four sites. Campers should leave no trace. We are a short drive from the beautiful Hell’s hole, Unicorn falls and Mavis Kitchens. Take a day trip to Byron Bay (50min) Brunswick Heads (40min) Mullumbimby (35min) Tyalgum (30min). 45mins from Gold Coast airport.

Welcome to our PECAN RIDGE campsite @ Commissioners Creek! The property is set at the foot of Mount Jerusalem National Park. Mountain-view camping site offer a peaceful escape, with cool, fresh air and the scent of pine. During the day, the mountains shift in the light, something sharp and bright, other times soft and blue. The highlight is the sunset, with the sky turning orange, pink, and purple as the sun sets behind the peaks. At night, the mountains stand under a starry sky, creating a calm, timeless atmosphere. Camping here isn't just about the view- it's about connecting with nature and enjoying the quiet moments. There is about a 20-minute bush walk to the mountain lookout near the campsite, where you can view the whole countryside from the lookout. There is a flushing toilet, shower, camp kitchen. * Power hook-up is available upon request for some sites at an ADDITIONAL COST of $10 per night for tents or $20 per night for caravans/camp-trailer which is payable in cash on ARRIVAL. Please note this is NOT a 'party' site. We are designated 'Land for Wildlife' and so most suited to those who seek peace and quiet. Owing to the terrain, this property is not suitable for children, but adults are welcome to wander around the beautiful gardens. Very sorry but this site is not suitable for those who have to make use of a wheelchair. Campfires are allowed in the fire braziers provided. BYO Firewood. Come and enjoy some peace and quiet camped aside the dam on this rural farm property. Wake up to the kookaburras, the ducks or the horses in the paddock surrounds. The property is located on the northern rivers rail trail for bike riding and walking or within 10minutes from local beaches: Wooyung or Pottsville or 15 minutes into Murwillumbah. Escape within 30minutes to Byron or the Gold Coast or enjoy the charming town of Burringbar and its surrounds with local cafes and shops. Limited spots therefore unlikely to share with many, if any, others Please note this is still a working property and residents further along driveway. Please note you must have your own amenities to camp here. Not suited to tent/swag setups without toilets. Best suited for those looking for peace and quiet. No parties.

Weekend Trip to Trickling Waters Retreat

Such a beautiful and well kept campsite. The weather, unfortunately, was not in our favor however we were the only ones at the campsite so we had private use of the bathroom and camp kitchen. We did not get to enjoy a campfire, but it was there for us. Should the weather have been more kind. This guy at night is absolutely stunning with very little light pollution. The facilities are excellent, and the location is stunning. We look forward to visiting again when the weather is more kind. Also our puppy Alice enjoyed roaming the rolling green hills.

My partner and I loved this spot. You can tell that Garry and his wife have put in a lot of effort to make this site the wonderful spot it is. It’s incredibly beautiful with views of the mountains and a wonderful tiered garden. It was great to talk with Garry and learn about the sugar gliders and how he made chairs and the pagoda out of recycled goods. It’s also not too far from Cabarita (only 35min). Garry’s a wonderful host - very welcoming. We’ll certainly be back someday.

3 nights at Tweed Valley - Doon Doon Farm

My partner and I had the most beautiful stay at The Family Tree camp site on Doon Doon Farm. Anna and her husband are both amazingly accommodating, offering great hospitality personally tailored to their guests , we felt so warmly welcomed onto their property and they were always happy to drop down to the site to drop off firewood when needed and have a great chat. We will 110% be back for our next trip. This location is beautiful enough on its own, but on top of having a great camp site the location is close to the town of Uki and quite a few lovely hikes and swimming holes. They have a lovely scenic piece of land offering many different camp sites, there is definitely something for everybody. Full of wildlife and their adorable cattle, they work so hard and are amazing at maintaining the upkeep of this property. They have a couple of very cute dogs who love to come down for a cheeky visit when their parents go run errands. The Family tree was perfect for us; easy 2WD access, beautiful scenery with the mountains, cattle grazing around in the pastures and after dark you can even spot the milky way whilst sitting around the camp fire. I would highly recommend this farm stay camp trip to anybody who loves the outdoors and animals.

We loved camping at the Family Tree at doon doon. Anna was so helpful and the stay was beautiful, the kids adored playing in the creek, wandering around the grass and playing under the tree. The town nearby was lovely too! Would recommend!

Absolute gem of a campsite. Stunning location, plenty of choices of sites to camp, very well signposted and fantastic amenities. Good quality firewood and kindling available for a must do fire at a reasonable price. Peter & the care taker were lovely to deal with. The starry skies are awesome and the local pub in Uki was fun! Will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Misty Mountain - Kunghur

We had an amazing experience at this campsite. The views were absolutely breathtaking, it truly felt like being in paradise. The kayaking and the Misty Dam were incredible highlights of our stay. The peacefulness and silence of the made it even more special. The gaming room was also really fun and a great addition. Just a couple of small suggestions for improvement: it would be better if the tissues in the bathroom were stored in a cabinet to keep them clean and hygienic. Also, the council rubbish bin was a bit far from the camping area having one closer would be very helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place!

I loved everything about. The mountain views were great, me and my friends even kayaked for a bit. The composting toilets itself were great - when we first got there they were pritine clean, no smells at all. However, it would be amazing if people didn't pee outside of the toilet itself - so the smell you might experience is just due to people's lack of hygene. There were plenty of designated spots to make a fire. Again, stunning views, such a peaceful spot, we were lucky enough to have a clear sky. It was incredible.

Fantastic location, peaceful and tranquil. Love the high trust operation. Turn up, honesty box for wood and very little, if any, contact from the owners. Will definitely return.
