Come and enjoy this creek front campsite in the heart of the Tweed Shire. Nestled on the banks of Doon Doon Creek, clear constantly running water with a large swimming hole awaits you!. The property is a 300 acre working farm with horses, cattle and a friendly dog named Wal. Campers are welcome to explore the many walking tracks on the property as well as the bordering national park. Just a 800 metres from Clarrie Hall Dam, spend your days picnicking and paddling amongst the stunning scenery. The dam is stocked with Australian Bass for a fun day's fishing. Take a 5 minute drive to Uki a township where you will find an abundance of arts and crafts, weekend markets and a host of alternative/natural therapy practitioners. You'll reach the larger town of Murwillumbah in just 15 minutes and the famous Byron Bay in under an hour. Explore the nearby Northern Rivers Rail Trail - 24km of trail through working farms, lush rainforest, wide bridges and original train tunnels. PLEASE NOTE: there are public toilets at the village of UKI about 2km.

Beautiful, private spot by the creek. Close to Uki and the pub, which does good food. Bob is very friendly and helpful. Lovely experience

We absolutely loved our stay here. Was so peaceful and private, got lucky and had the whole place to ourselves. Our host Bob was super friendly and answered any questions we had. Will definitely be back 😊

We had an amazing stay at the Gypsy Wagon Camp! The location was so peaceful, tucked away in a quiet area that made it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. The freshwater creek nearby was absolutely stunning, and we spent hours fishing and just relaxing in and by the water. Bob, the host, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He left us some firewood, which made our evenings by the campfire even more enjoyable. The Gypsy wagon itself was cozy and charming, a unique and comfortable space to unwind after a day outdoors. The price is a little on the higher side, but it was definitely worth it for such an easy, last-minute escape. I’d highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature!

Perfect little spot, secluded and private yet still close enough to everything. Beautiful little swimming hole for a swim or kayak!

Windmill Creek En-suite Camp
Definitely one of our favourite camps to date! The spot is beautiful and the creek swimming was literal heaven. Bob is a great host and the little town (Uki) and bigger town (Murwillumbah) are both lovely places with great coffee and pubs.
