The ultimate 4WD site. Open your tent to Breathtaking Views. This camp is a flat grass area up a small hill but the views are amazing. 4WD's ONLY however, it is only a 100m drive up a grass hill to YOUR OWN PRIVATE OASIS. You will feel like you are on top of the world however, Doon Doon Creeks, clear constantly running water with a large swimming hole is only a stroll down the hill. The property is a 116 acre working cattle farm. Campers are welcome to explore the many walking tracks on the property as well as the bordering national park. Just a 800 metres from Clarrie Hall Dam, spend your days picnicking and paddling amongst the stunning scenery. The dam is stocked with Australian Bass for a fun day's fishing. Take a 5 minute drive to Uki a township where you will find an abundance of arts and crafts, weekend markets and a host of alternative/natural therapy practitioners. You'll reach the larger town of Murwillumbah in just 15 minutes and the famous Byron Bay in under an hour. Explore the nearby Northern Rivers Rail Trail - 24km of trail through working farms, lush rainforest, wide bridges and original train tunnels. PLEASE NOTE: there are public toilets at the village of UKI about 2km. It is about a 200m walk down the hill to Doon Doon creek. There is a swimming hole and the location is very picturesque. Campfires are fine. Perfect spot to relax, swim in the creek or explore the area. It is 800m from Clarrie Hall Dam which is popular for non motorized water sports, fishing and hiking. We loved camping at Hilltop view. The views were amazing ! It was a bit of a mission to get down into the creek but it was really lovely once we got down there.

Fantastic views, excellent host called Bob. Great if you have four wheel drive and are tent camping, although u must be self sufficient with water n toilet etc....Uki is only ten mins away at most, and the local pub does good food. We spent a few hrs here watching the nrl final. Good place to get away , and a local dog joined us and was friends with our dog...

Hilltop View was literally like we were camping on top of the world. Amazing views all day long. So peaceful, with friendly visits from the cows and the kelpie. Only a short distance into Uki for a beer at the pub or a coffee. Will definitely be back.

Private couples getaway with a view

We loved our stay at Hilltop View. The view is breathtaking and the site is suitably sized and private (apart from being able to see and hear the road). We woke up in the morning surrounded by friendly cows and received regular visits from the beautiful farm dog, Wal. The site is within a 5 minute bike ride to the Clarrie Hall dam wall and 15 minutes into Uki. Lots of space to explore, we highly recommend staying here!

Stunning views of Mount Warning, spotted plenty of birds flying through the valley. Cozy spot on top of the hill with enough flat ground for a few tents. Had a relaxing time keeping warm by the fire drinking wine

Good spot, awesome view! Raw country and cattle farm. Not too much to do, so no big hype, which means hardly any other people. Great to get away for a short-ish visit. Would recommend

A super private campsite on a little hill with stunning views of Mount Wollumbin. The cows like to drop by — or maybe we’re the guests in their backyard! Soaking up the sun and enjoying the chill vibes here is just perfect.

Honestly one of the best camps we’ve ever stayed at. We had a wonderful host, the camp site was spacious and tidy, the views were out of this world and we had a few friendly visits from a dog named Wal, and a herd of cows. My partner and I absolutely loved this stay and we were very sad to leave. Will absolutely be returning asap, and highly highly highly recommend this site! Anyone looking for a getaway that makes you feel like you’re living in the clouds, this is the one! I’m almost speechless at how amazing it was. Can’t wait to return, thank you so much Bob for the wonderful stay 🔥👌🏼.

Hilltop view is definitely a spot for someone who loves the outdoors I went up there to test out some gear on a rainy day and still had an amazing time! Watching the sea of clouds roll the hills and mount warning was spectacular, its an extremely peaceful stay, bob the host is a legend 👍🏼
