This beautiful 98 acre property has 300m of river frontage on the Wallamba River. This is a lovely, shady, quiet and private space on the river. You can watch the fish jump and the bird songs are so beautiful. There are no other camping sites near this space. We are just over an hour from Newcastle and Port Macquarie. Grab a kayak and enjoy being right on the river. Great fishing!! You will catch Bream, Flathead and Mud Crabs! You may also see the dolphins go past. We are 30 mins from Forster and Taree. The Nabiac Hotel is 10kms down the road and the village of Nabiac has all the essentials. We love our animals and along with our horses, we breed Therapy dogs. Your dogs are most welcome! Our property is at the end of a 2km gravel driveway. You can camp right on the river bank in privacy. The kids are welcome to help feed the animals. The area is quite shady, and there is a decent down to the site on the river, so a 4WD is recommended. You will need to swing wide to get into the entrance of the driveway and Van's over 18ft and with low clearance aren't recommended, due to the slope down to the river and the turn around area.

We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

They will need to be on leash all the time and well behaved. Please pick up after them ANYWHERE they go toilet and also they must be vaccinated. No cats allowed. A campfire during permitted times is allowed but only in the fire pits. There is loads of dried kindling and small logs around the property otherwise please bring your own. All Sites have fire pits. CHILDREN are to be accompanied by an adult at all times if walking around the property. Beautiful spot to relax, with loads of wildlife and bird watching. Please use bins supplied and leave no trace. * There are 4 allocated camp sites. Two are easy(2WD & Vans/trailers) access and have the direct view through the valley. The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done. Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided. Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart. As most of our sites are on the river and have farm tracks to access, if it is wet we may have to move you to a different site. 4wds are recommended for all sites and are required for some site. Please read the listing for the campsite you are wanting to book. Some of our sites do not suit caravans. All roads require high clearance vans. If you do not like dogs or your own dogs are not very sociable Mindoo may not be the place for you. Daisy the Doodle (Golden Retriever/Poodle) and Paul the Pig Dog (a very gentle Bull Mastif/Catahoula) like to come and say hello to campers at The Park & The Junction. Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). The back of the property is perfect for camping and suitable for a small to medium caravan/camper. The larger dam has a picnic area and kayaks available to paddle on. Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous. If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water. Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

I car camped for one night. Lovely spot for a breath of fresh air, greenery and looking at stars. Handy having a sink to wash up in and a toilet onsite. Great communication from the hosts. Note that the sites are close to one another in an open field so I wouldn’t consider it private. No complaints though I’d happily return!

Camping here was such a wonderful experience. My son absolutely fell in love with the adorable guinea pigs and alpacas. Picking tomatoes, persimmons, and eggplants was also incredibly fun and something we truly enjoyed together. We will definitely come back for another camping trip. This is a beautiful and charming place that offers so many lovely experiences. Highly recommended!

My partner and I had a gorgeous time camping amidst the orchards and enjoying the short hikes to the waterfall and lookout! Looks like it would suit groups brilliantly but we were lucky to have the place to ourselves on a Sunday/Monday. Great service from the camp manager and hosts, we felt safe, relaxed, and got to spend the morning seeing all the animals around. 11/10!

We love this site and visit it often. Luvina and Victor have it set up really well and are always making improvements to make it even better. Swimming in the Aqua pool in the national park next door is a highlight and there's also great hiking nearby, too.

Had a lovely, peaceful weekend with my chocolate Lab. We did some of the short walks around the area. She loved kayaking in the dam with me on the kayaks provided and also playing with the basket ball in the water (also provided). Camps were very private so that even when other people came in you weren't looking at other's camps. The composting toilet was spotless. The camp sites are quite large and ours had a fire pit and a lounge.

Such a beautiful campground. Toilets and showers were so clean. Beautiful area to walk around. And the free kayaks at Misty Dam was the cherry on top. Woman was so lovely as well. Will definitely come again .

We spent a fantastic weekend at Misty Mountain campground. The campsite is huge with plenty of beautiful spots to choose from. We enjoyed the 5km loop walk with spectacular views of Wollumbin and the Border Ranges. The amenities (showers, toilets, camp kitchen) where clean and well maintained. We will definitely be coming back!

What a magical outdoor experience for the whole family, many memories made here. The King of the forest is the biggest tree we will ever see. Be careful as you might step into the Witches circle, and we found a fairy house up high in the trees while picking up sticks for our campfire. A great place to come to stay and play

This was our second stay at Watton Airstrip, we couldn’t stay away for long! This time we stayed at The Hideout, right next to our last spot (The Beach), and it was just as beautiful, right on the water with such a relaxing vibe. We also noticed a new toilet being built close by. As always, we highly recommend - and the 4WD track up and down the hill is such a fun little thrill!
