CAMP 3 is a private in the bush area and will cater for five or so rooftops tents, difficult for caravans or large vehicles.
CAMP 4 smaller possibly two tents or rooftops secluded in the bush.
CAMP 5 similar to camp 3 in the bush and completely private great for a get together with friends.
CAMP 6 is the very top of the mountain with a long wide strip of cleared area with bush on both sides and a window at the end to the valley below, very private, must be fully contained and would suit most vehicles, may lose traction if pulling a heavy caravan or trailer.

Kids will love the farm tour (4.00pm to 5.00pm daily, later in summer months) for the feeding of chickens, ducks, bunny rabbits, horse, donkeys, sheep and goats. It's an excellent area for mountain bike riding as well!
Kayaks/push bikes available for free.
Don't have a caravan, we have partnered up with Wrighty's Caravan Hire and Repairs. They offer family caravans delivered, setup ready for you to enjoy.
Pets allowed but you must have on lead when walking around the property near cattle. Note a maximum of 2 dogs per camp site.
Early check in available upon request. Free if you are staying more than 1 night. No check prior to 12pm.
Rules:
1. For the piece and quiet of other campers all check-ins must be before 5.30pm during the colder months. Check ins after 7pm may be turned away in busy times.
2. No Fireworks - this is very unsettling for our livestock
3. 9pm quiet time.
4. No drones in the camping area, for the privacy of other campers
5. Generators are allowed for short period of time but not permitted after 8pm.
6. Dogs on leads when walking around the farm - Limit of 2 dogs per camp site.
7. STRICKLY NO GLASS AT RIVER - campers will be asked to leave immediately

Unfortunately, we have had some issues with local council, we ask that you follow these simple rules extremely closely failure to do may cause us to reject your booking and may incur penalties to both of us as the landholders and also the camper.
1. STRICTLY No Caravans, RV's, Tents or any camping site is to be set up within 50 meters of the creek.
2. No more that 20 people camping on the property at one time - we must know your exact numbers.
3. Zero impact to the land and surrounds, treat it like you would a National Park.
4. ALL WASTE must be bagged and taken off site with you. The rubbish bins in the street are not ours. They belong to the people that live in the valley. You must be prepared to take all rubbish home with you.

Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking.
Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended.
During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

This circular campground is ideal for family get-togethers or accommodation for local weddings. The farm has been in the same family for over 80 years and offers a genuine country experience.
The site is a large, flat paddock with plenty of open space and privacy, surrounded by a tall hedge of trees. Our Bottom Creek Camp is also available nearby.

We had a fantastic stay at this Hipcamp. The river is absolutely beautiful and the setting is incredibly peaceful and quiet. We were the only campers there for 3 nights, which made it feel like our own private retreat.The sites are spacious, well laid out, and very well maintained. It's clear that Wayne puts a lot of time and effort into looking after the property and ensuring guests have a comfortable and relaxing stay.If you're looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Loved camping here. Had the caravan plus three kids in the swag. Part of a bigger group with other caravans and tents and didn’t feel cramped, plenty of room for everyone. Host was awesome, very friendly and accomodating. Will definitely stay again. Close to town for if needed but still feels like the middle nowhere. will definately be staying again.

Stellar campsite in a great, quiet location. We enjoyed the afternoon sun and outlook of the property and walking around the nearby creek.
We were kindly offered fresh eggs from the chickens which we gladly took and had for breakfast.
10/10 recommend and we will return.

Four years after our first stay at Bahwidgee I was glad to see it is still a beautiful spot to camp.
Within a working cattle property, Bahwidgee offers park-like flat, grassed camping amid plenty of shade trees stretching along the riverbank. The Tumut River runs by the camping area and it’s clean and clear with lots of places to sit quietly and watch birds, fish and platypus feeding.
Sitting by the river I couldn’t escape an uneasy feeling that like so many places, Bahwidgee’s attractions may, unless carefully managed, lead to its degradation as more and more people want to visit this special spot. I get the irony of that. I know we are part of the problem.
Like many Hipcamp hosts, I’m grateful that Wayne loves his land and works hard to share it with us. For our part we try to tread lightly and are very grateful we get to experience this beautiful country.
Bahwidgee is always worth a visit. (Away from peak times is best.)

The directions were very clear and precise. The camp spot was amazing. The river was crystal clear during the day. The evenings were very peaceful even with a visit from a possum who wanted to stay with us. Wayne was very accommodating with fire wood delivery throughout our stay. We had a very peaceful stay and our 2 little dogs loved the stay as well. Well worth the $$.

Located just 2 km from Tumut, this campsite is very convenient while still offering a peaceful setting. The area is beautiful, with amazing birdlife, and there was plenty of space for everyone during our quiet weekend stay. The host was friendly and welcoming.
A couple of things to be aware of are that you can hear some highway noise, and the riverbank is quite steep, which makes access to the river a little difficult.
Overall, it was a great place to stay and we would happily camp there again.
