The Shearing Shed has been fully renovated and features 2 bedrooms, one with a double and single and the second room with 3 single beds. All amenities are available including linen, towels and a fully equipped kitchen. The shed is comfortable for families with WIFI and satellite TV available. The original homestead has been fully renovated. It has 5 bedrooms, sleeps 10 and is fully equipped. It complements the shed, and is ideal for large family groups to take both accommodations. The farm practices holistic management including cell grazing, Rudolph Steiner practices and low stress stock-handling. Bill and Louise love showing people around the property and sharing insights into how they manage the land. There is an abundance of birdlife and wildlife for people to enjoy or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet and spectacular stars at night.

Location from Sydney We are approximately 228.9km via Great Western Highway/A32 from Sydney CBD. It is part of the village known as Newbridge which is 3km from the property. It is an easy 30km drive to Bathurst and 50km to Orange with only 15km away from Blayney. La Pinata is also a short drive to Milthorpe and Carcoar - all lovely award winning quaint towns worth visiting where you can take in the history and enjoy great food and wine. A great country escape destination! Even the Newbridge Train Station remains treasured by residents and fondly remembered as the stopover for Queen Elizabeth II during her 1954 royal visit! Newbridge is fortunate to have a local pub, known as the Gladestone Hotel. A a restaurant serving modern cuisine and live music most Sunday afternoons (need to check with Pub for confirmation of entertainment 02 6368 1004). This is approximately 2.7kms from La Pinata! The Property La Pinata is circa 161 Ha (400 acres) in size. Altitude of approx 900m. Over half of the land is clear, the land is mostly undulating with some steeper areas. There are 7 paddocks. Stock water is supplied by dams in all paddocks with a permanent Evans Plains Creek that flows through the property which is a wonderful spot for bushwalking. There is also a bore that provides water to our water tanks. The Property also offers a pine forest, which is cooling on hot summer days, and in the colder months, it is a winter wonderland adventure. A perfect part of the property to do many things: picnicking in the wild whilst collecting pinecones, wildflowers or simply admiring the majestic views of the Fitzgerald Valley and the Blue Mountains over a glass of local wine and cheese. The Barn Style Cabin La Pinata, for a unique glamping experience, offers a barn style cabin dwelling with all the comforts of a home but with a rustic cabin experience. A majority of the barn style cabin and its amenities have been built from recycled material, this includes the furniture which is mostly recycled or pre-loved. We are also using off the grid electricity and water supply. It has 7 sleeping rooms with 1 ensuite and 2 Bathrooms. One of the 7 sleeping rooms has a cot. It has a well-equipped open Kitchen with 5 pit stove, oven, blender, and toaster. The open living area has 3 spaces to enjoy: • 8–10-seater dining area • 3-piece lounge area (TV, with Netflix and Foxtel) • A study/reading Nook area • Another area just off the kitchen is a lovely space where you can read or relax. We have also provided a dart board and other board games for those competitive nights of fun! The barn has laundry facilities and wifi. Other Services that can be provided-coordinated Picasso Paint and Wine Experience Ask the host regarding our Picasso Paint and Wine Experience at La Pinata for groups of 8 to 12 guests. It is a lovely way to enjoy the afternoon sunset with your group, enjoying your wine and painting! 4 weeks' notice required to coordinate. Vale Creek Wines At La Pinata we can organise a wine tasting experience. The winery is called Vale Creek, located approximately 23.5kms from Newbridge (Gladestone Hotel). Vale Creek’s Cellar Door provides tastings in a relaxed setting overlooking the winery. Their wines are from clones sourced from superior vineyards in Italy – www.valecreek.com.au. The owners are delightful and welcoming. They are opened most weekends. The winery has many events occurring through the month and if it coincides with your trip, we will be more than happen to share the event with you and if you wish we can organise the wine tasting booking for you as well. Ask the Host about this item so it can be organised. Driving inside our property. Our internal roads are constantly maintained whilst 2WD drive vehicles have come and gone from our place without an issue, it is recommended to use a 4WD vehicle. STRA: Exempt

Guests will love the rustic interior of the old working woolshed, converted by the owner into this idealic accommodation, complete with chic simplicity and a sign of times that once were. With stunning views of the creek, enjoy the fire pit and cook your dinner under the stars (firewood can be purchased under 'Extras'). There is a full size picnic table and a kids picnic table outside, along with seating on the veranda and inside the shed. The kitchen is complete with a microwave, stove, portable gas oven, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer and a lovely country-style sink, along with dishware and cutlery. You will find all that you need to relax and enjoy a stress free getaway. The bathroom boasts a comfortable sized shower, free standing clawfoot bath (found on the property and restored by the owner) and a flushing toilet - enjoy the heated flooring on the cooler winter nights! The Woolshed is approximately 200 meters away from the main house, you may see the owners, their children and dog walking around or driving past from a distance, however The Woolshed area will be solely yours during your stay. The Woolshed itself has a lovely veranda with table and chairs, that provides a picturesque spot to sit and admire the view up the paddock. The Woolshed is rustic and open to the elements, so be mindful that it can be cold in winter and warm in summer. The shed has 4 extra large fans and for the cooler months an internal woodfire (firewood can be purchased under 'Extras'). All 3 beds have electric blankets, the 4th bed, a trundle does not so please pack extra blankets. Don't feel like making beds on holidays, let us do it for you (linen hire available under 'Extras'). I really loved camping at Shepherds Rest! Jacquie is an amazing host and I would honestly come back to just chat with her. Loved meeting the llama and goats as well. Perfect place for a short getaway from Canberra and Sydney. Also got along with the other campers, still very spacious. For those who love photography, a great place to capture the Australian bush.

Jacqui was a lovely, friendly host. The amenities were great, especially the bathroom "hut" - so charming! We were able to enjoy a hot shower and shared a beautiful campfire in the common courtyard with others staying there night. The shipping container was just the basics of what we needed of a warm bed for the night and plenty of room for our 3 dogs. Thanks again Jacqui!

We had a fantastic time at this campsite! Surrounded by greenery, we loved feeding the sheep and waking up to the rooster’s call. The washrooms were spotless, and there was plenty of firewood for cozy night by the fire pit. The location felt safe, being close to a quiet road. Paula was incredibly sweet, giving us a great tour and making us feel welcome. Highly recommend this peaceful getaway!

We purchased the property in 2003 and have been improving the property ever since. We have been struggling with the current drought for the past few years and have decided to open up our home for people to stay. The property is located 15kms from White Cliffs which is a tiny community in the outback with great people. It is a little opal town bustling with tourists throughout the year. Our home is secluded with big open spaces for people to relax and enjoy.Dogs are welcome but must be controlled and okay with livestock and please pick up after your pets.Toilet & shower available, separate access near shearers quarters.

We offer camping and indoor accommodation. Our property is located on a relaxed 5 acres at the gateway to the Hunter Valley. Enjoy the lush forests and views of the mountain nearby. There's a number of great lookouts nearby if you're up for a walk.  The Barn accommodation is great for groups who enjoy the outdoors. Enjoy your outdoor adventure with open living and eco tourism at the foot of the Watagan Mountains. Wildlife and bush tucker walks available. Firewood provided for your indoor fireplace. You will have access to a camp oven and rotating grill, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, electric hot plate and kettle. There are toilet and shower amenities, and access to drinking water. There is phone reception in certain spots and limited wifi. There is no TV. The barn can accommodate sleeping for 10+ and features two double beds, two single beds, one couch, two air mattresses and five floor mattresses. There is also a fully equipped gym. You will need to bring your own sheets, pillows, sleeping bag etc for added comfort. Sleeping close to the fire upstairs is recommended in the cooler months. Camping is optional with nice flat spots near the dam under sheoaks. Our campsites are equally as beautiful. Chill out in the shade by the dam during the day. Firewood is provided and you're welcome to use the camp ovens and the rotating grill, but if you get stuck cooking on the open fire there is a microwave, electric hot plate and kettle. These are situated downstairs in the barn a short walk from site. A great swim in the 50m dam. There is access to toilets, showers, drinking water and rubbish facilities. Your furry friend is welcome to holiday with you.
