For some seriously stunning scenery, come on over to Swallow Falls. Located on an especially wild stretch of the Youghiogheny River, this park is lucky enough to claim some of the most jaw-dropping beauty in the area. And with almost seven miles of wooded trails, you can get up close and personal with Muddy Creek Falls, which, at 53 feet, is the highest (and arguably the raddest), waterfall in Maryland. Between hiking through mighty hemlock trees and feeling awestruck at the foot of these remarkable waterfalls, it’s impossible not to fall in love with this place. “Hey, if you love it so much, why don’t you Maryland it?”
