Absolutely beautiful here. Truly enjoyed the isolation and peace and quiet. Great place. Owners are very accommodating. White water area, almost in waking distance was breathtaking.

Perfect secluded and private spot

We loved our stay at Barnum Cliffs! We stayed at the RV site for two nights and wish we could have stayed longer to explore more of the land and enjoy the peaceful site. It was so private, secluded, and quiet…just what we were looking for. We didn’t see or hear a soul. The hosts were very quick to respond and very helpful. There was firewood at the site but also a ton of wood around the site to use as well. To top it all off, we saw our first black bear at dusk walking up the mountain from the river…such a hi-light! We’d definitely return if we are looking to camp in the area again in the future!

Lovely secluded spot

We had a lovely stay. Campsites are in great condition, firewood is generous. At night, the woods looked like they were sparkling with all the fireflies. The location had easy access to a beautiful rail trail and Shaw beach at the nearby reservoir. The hosts were responsive and gave us some helpful recommendations.

Puppy’s first camping trip

We were looking for a quiet place to get our puppy used to camping. There is a trailer site just downhill that could dampen your privacy but it was incredibly peaceful with that site being vacant. The privy meets your needs and has a nice view. Even after the amount of rain the area received recently the access road was in good condition. The gate code was received long before our trip, the location directions were easy to understand, and the gate ensures privacy. We stargazed each night on the nearby power line and really enjoyed our stay!

Very relaxing camping trip. There was a piece of machinery right next to our campsite where we parked, but it didn’t bother us too much. Took away from the whole nature aspect a tiny bit but we still really enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for a private campsite with a nice view of the river below!

Totally Private Place

A cool, remote spot in the middle of the forest. There's a creek about 15 minutes downhill with shallow, fast-flowing, and fairly cold water. The terrain is steep, so maneuvering an RV definitely requires 4WD.

Loved it here. It was very quiet and secluded. It was a good site for tent camping. Very flat and had lots of space. I would 10/10 recommend this place for a weekend getaway.

The check in instructions say, “must text prior to arrival as cell service is spotty.” So I messaged the host 4 hours before arriving. The campsite was 2.5 hours away and I had some stops in between so I thought 4 hours was enough time. It was very concerning that he didn’t get back to me but I assumed someone else was staying that weekend and the gate would be open. Wrong on all counts. No one there. No code. No contact from the host. No way to get in. Tried to get a spot at a nearby campground but no luck so ended up going all the way home. (5 hour round trip) Host messaged me apologizing at 10:00 pm. However a few questions are in order: 1. Why isn’t the code provided with the address and check-in instructions? 2. Why did the host not automatically send me the code the day of check in if I hadn’t contacted him in enough time? I assume Hipcamp let him know he had a guest that day because they had my money and he sent me the address. He did offer to refund my money and offered free stays but could you imagine driving there again and having something like that happen again? I don’t trust his process.

Great stay and amazing RV set up for offgrid. I stayed for a week and used a generator to run a/c during the day. The river is 1/2 mile away with a nice area to park. I didn't have cell service, which was 100% fine with me and allowed me to truly disconnect to relax. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Cozy Little Secluded Spot

I wouldn't recommend showing up at night like I did, it was a bit spooky getting into the tent site at night, but it was really easy when I got up in the morning. It's a cozy little spot, and I like it was easy not to check in at a certain time. I will say it felt super secluded, but I could see how other people in the other sites could be a little noisy, but I wouldn't know. Being a solo traveling woman, I did feel safe, but if you don't feel safe with no one around like me, then maybe it would be too spooky. It was down a hill and protected by a manually locked gate, which made me feel safe. Have four-wheel drive, but my little Mazada CX-3 got down the hill and back up with no issue!

Good place to camp!

Place was great! Firewood provided, secluded, sounds of a river nearby. Nothing to complain about! Gravel lots were level and accessible, perhaps 4WD of towing something. Couldn't quite find a way down to the water though which would have been nice to know where to go!

This spot was awesome. Very secluded and private with water rolling beneath. A bit steep at parts and might recommend 4WD. Couldn't quite hike down as we didn't know where to go but perhaps if you knew the path you could make it down. Wood provided. Great hosts. Worth visiting!

RVed with a Sunray. Beautiful woodsy area. 4x4 necessary for pulling RV up the hill/mountain. Gravel road and compost toilet were well maintained. Lots of campfire wood, very private. We had a great time.
