Great atea , wind river was exliratingly cold, good because it was mid nineties when we were there, composting toulets were great . But hot springs on river wete a bit brackish snd not desireable, kinda over priced 125 / night bit large group could work,, all in all though enjoyed,, a bit secret if your s newbie to the camp site via internet which has an upside

What an incredible camp spot! We were in the hot springs meadow and enjoyed waking up to bald eagles soaring over the river having their breakfast. Everything was perfect, we will definitely be back!

Such a beautiful, peaceful place. We saw eagles, a family of ducks, rabbits, butterflies and two (tiny, harmless) snakes! It was an incredible stay :) for the 6 adults and four dogs we had we should have booked one of the other larger spots at WWR but this was still pretty comfortable! Having the stream in camp was so so lovely, especially on the hotter days.

Amazing location near town and right on the river. The composting toilets were clean and way nicer than a typical port a potty. Absolutely gorgeous campsite. We would definitely go back!

Our experience here was deeply unsettling and I strongly urge others to look elsewhere. The hosts were invasive and crossed serious boundaries—they entered our site while we were away and, shockingly, even went through our belongings without permission. That alone should be enough to stay away.
But it gets worse: the amenities were either broken or unreliable. They discourage use of their own indoor shower (then why even offer it?), the water heater didn’t work, and basic necessities like parking come with surprise extra fees. On top of that, the site was crawling with mice and snakes.
I felt unsafe, disrespected, and completely misled. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had while traveling. Save yourself the stress and do not book this place under any circumstances.

Little Island
We love the peacefulness of the forest and the sound of the creek trickling by Little Island campground. All the spots are really spread out, so you felt very alone which we appreciated and the rocky hikes up the beautiful wind river were fun and adventurous. Loved dipping in that cool water!

I love it there! The sauna is a great addition on. Especially when you arrive later in day and can't find your way to the hot springs. I only have one recommendation. And there definitely needs to be a map of the camp area cause service is hit and miss in the area and could get turned around... Other then that this is a fav or mine!!! Happy camping!!!

Absolutely magical.
Definitely a bit of work to get the camping gear from the parking spot across the Little Wind to the campsite, but so worth it.

Really beautiful spot with nice fire pit and a log table to use. The sound of the creek was very soothing and could see lots of stars at night.
The composting bathrooms are great!

We’d stayed before at a different site but could never find an available date at Cedar Grove. We finally booked it and it was awesome. The creek crossing to get to the site makes it very fun (pay heed to the warnings about bringing proper shoes to get to it as it can get a bit slippery). Watching the river flow by, gazing at the stars and falling asleep to the sound of the water was all magical. The property is very nice with access to the Wind river. The outhouses were very clean. There’s no drinking water access that we could see, so make sure to bring enough for your stay. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time during our stay and the property is beautiful!! The only part I didn’t like was the bridge. The log on the right is decaying quite a bit and so the platform leans a lot. In the end I just crossed at the creek.

This homestead is a relaxing beautiful sanctuary for everyone. Perched next to a river the tall trees make you feel like you are in a tree house with the squirrels and birds. It is peaceful and quiet and has an amazing sauna and outdoor shower. It is quite literally the dreamiest handbuilt tiny house you will ever set foot in.

This campsite is in a beautiful spot among the Wind and Little Wind Rivers, offering a peaceful and private experience. The composting toilets are clean, and the log table at the Little Island campsite is useful, though the deck is weathered so much, we weren’t inspired to use it.
The cable gate system at the site entrance is cumbersome and honestly, is a pretty big safety concern (considering everything from a quick moving forest fire to a sprained ankle, needing to get to a medic) relying on a shared key, which could be problematic in an emergency. Individual keys or an emergency exit from the site would be better. The site is buggy, and with few trees, it’s hard to hang hammocks or lights. Improving river access (to both Wind and Little Rivers) with better trails, foot bridges, would also enhance the experience. Despite these issues, the location’s natural beauty makes it worth a visit.

We absolutely loved it here! We are already planning a trip back in the fall. The swings are such a fun touch! The sound of the creek is so soothing. We loved sleeping to the sound of it. The bathrooms are super clean.

This was our third stay at Fern, and we are planning on returning to this magical and artisanal place. We had a phenomenal restorative stay at Fern. Nestled deep within a lush forest of towering cedar trees, this site is a true retreat into nature. We loved eating breakfast and birding on the patio. The trails, Wind River and Little Wind, are stunning features on the large property. Faith was a welcoming host and Chris was a knowledgeable guide who helped us explore the local area.
One of our favourite aspects of the tiny home was the outdoor shower. The shower is perfectly positioned to give us a sense of privacy while still being connected to the beautiful environment around us.
The setup at Fern has thoughtful details such as comfortable chairs and a hammock that made it easy to relax and unwind. We were also able to book the sauna for private use, which was an amazing daily activity that we always followed by a cold plunge in the tub.
This Hipcamp site is a perfect escape for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the tranquility of nature. We can’t recommend it highly enough!
