We began this venture in 2012 by purchasing 35 acres overlooking a 7000 acre homestead. We are located on the beautiful eastern plains of Colorado southeast of Denver. Rolling hills dotted with Ponderosa pines that encourage wildlife to settle in. Pikes Peak, Longs Peak and Mount Evans all visible on clear days. We have 35 acres and raise alpaca’s, chickens, cats and dogs as well as a large garden. We lived on the property in a 400sq ft cottage while building the house and this cottage is now available to rent. Water is available outside and the outhouse is just a few steps away. It is a one room cabin (sleeps 2) with an incredible picture window that frames Pikes Peak beautifully. It is nestle among some old Ponderosa Pines; sports a cute but tiny wood burning stove; bar table in front of the window; deck with seating and a propane camp chef 2 burner stove. A hammock is available for use and private outhouse just a few feet away. Across the gulley is the new Sawmill Cabin built under the canopy of Jim's sawmill. It is small, and can sleep 3 with a unique bunk over a queen sized platform bed. A small deck, fire pit all under a covered open space. More kids? Bring a tent! there’s room! Numerous tent sites are available all within easy walking to your car. An outhouse is close by. We love sharing our story and our home and the beautiful place God has gifted us with people from all over the world and hope to host you as well. Come Camp; and relax. We took advantage of late season warm weather and spent 2 nights at Rockridge. It did turn windy and cool but we enjoyed the solitude. Gorgeous view of Pikes Peak. I was able to walk my dog all over Carol’s horse pasture. Note that the 3 campsites are fairly close together. Google maps took us right to Carols land - campsites are marked by short pink flags on the left side of her driveway once you have entered the property.

Jamie is very gracious, knowledgeable and kind. This location is right next to the Paint Mines and a great place to say after your hike. The location is very quiet and great for star and moon gazing. This site also sits adjacent to a wind(mill) farm which is a great unique landscape. Very nice, safe place to stay!

Our second annual father/son camping trip was a huge success. We had the whole property to ourselves. Each year our favorite part is exploring the boulders at the top of the property. The dozen or so turkeys that wandered through the property was the icing on the cake!

Weekend Trip to Rockridge Ranch

Beautiful views and very peaceful. We had a great time at Carol’s property. It was perfect for a short getaway from home. Very close to many attractions yet far enough away to feel secluded. Secluded! Cool view on the distant horizon that was about a five minute walk away, and at night looking East over the blinking lights of hundreds (thousands?) of windmills. Not many places you will see this! Dark sky was also good as the Milky Way was directly overhead. Antelope also were around.

Weekend Trip to Sunrise Campsites

My family and I loved camping at Stephanie's Sunrise Campsite. We chose Site 1 from the reviews and it didn't disappoint. It was private and had spectacular views. The bathroom facility was clean and was thoughtfully stocked. We even had a surprise visitor in the morning, a majestic buck exploring. We would love to come back again in the spring.

Fantastic view and totally is one of the best sunrises we’ve had camping. Host was great and brought firewood to our site before we arrived. Not as cool as the high range. Slightly cool than Denver for comparison.

Very easy to get to and perfect for what we needed. Andy was incredibly nice, helping us get to our site and even assisting with hooking up our RV! The land was so beautiful in the morning and our dog loved running around in the doggy play area. You won’t regret booking here!
