Elisa was the perfect host. Unfortunately, I had to arrive after dark (7PM) and she kindly greeted my partner and I and our pups and showed up the space. The campsite it gorgeous; it is right on the lake, and private enough to let the pups off leash (when you book you get both the upper campsite suitable for RVs and the lower one that is a short walk). Her wonderful pup, Oscar, visited us during the day and was a welcomed addition to our visit. Even though it rained all weekend, with a tarp and the tree coverage, we stayed dry and warm by the fire. We had a short break in the rain that allowed us to paddle around the reservoir and see the stunning foliage as well. This space was such a treat, I couldn't recommend it more highly.
This is such a hidden gem! Elisa was a wonderful host and her dogs were great visitors :). We spent the weekend with friends and had a blast in this wonderful private camp site. I forgot to take pictures of the lower site, but wanted to share that we fit our 21 ft camper easily on the upper site, and used the lower site to hang out by the reservoir, hang in our hammock and paddle around.
Elisa and her husband were gracious hosts who went above and beyond to give us an amazing stay. Elisa suggested several great hikes in the area.
The campsites were secluded and having access to a canoe was a nice bonus. We really enjoyed the option of choosing from 2 campsites.
The lake was picturesque and quiet, I had the opportunity to see loons up close! If you're into birding this place is for you. Both campsites were well kept and the hosts provided firewood as well as offering extra wood and drinking water. Even though it rained we had so much fun paddling on the lake, we cant wait to come back!
This was quite simply the best campsite I have ever been to. It is private, quiet, peaceful, and beautiful with incredible open water swimming and canoeing. Sweet, friendly, dog Oscar will come visit you in the morning. The set up is great too with picnic tables and fire pits above and below. We will be back!
