The treehouse is nestled into the tree line beside a creek. It was a very relaxing spot. I was a little worried about how close the owner lives but I guess it is far enough that we did not disturb them.
Steve met us upon arrival and was very accommodating, even asking if we would like to see the goats at feeding time. This would be a great spot for kids. It was a great spot for us two adults just looking to get away from people!!
What a unique experience to sleep in a treehouse for the weekend! Steve’s property had it all:
- 20 acres to roam & play tag/hide & seek, etc.
- a trampoline that the boys literally jumped on for hours each day
- a tractor that Steve let the kids drive!
- a farm with goats where the boys fed and picked up the babies
- a hot tub to relax in at the end of the day
- a River with two active beavers who came in to “work” every night around 8:30 pm.
Very fun and unique experience! Highly recommend! We will return.

Brad,I am glad you enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure hosting you. Until we meet again, will stay in touch and the best of health and happiness to you! -Steve
Well, planned a trip to be told a few moments our time would not be honored due to a double booking. Within 24 hours we were told the spot was available, however we made alternative plans. Now, still waiting for a refund

Lindsey booked a date that had been booked 5 minutes earlier on another platform for the following day.As soon I got notification of the booking which was 10 minutes after she booked, I texted her and offered her another date of her choice, and was told she would get back to me. Well, the next days booking texted me late in the day that they could not make it due to illness. Immediately I messaged Lindsey that she was more then welcome to come. She told me that she would check and get back to me. She messaged me back late in the evening that they couldn't come then. So I asked her to pick another date as I did before the guests cancelled. I didn't hear back until she asked for a refund. I have never had to give a refund in the two years I have been a host and didn't know how without it giving me a negative mark for canceling a guests stay. After talking to Hipcamp and being told that they could do it on their end, the refund has been issued. I am sorry for the confusion and am surprised by the negative review when I tried to facilitate Lindsey's needs. All is good!!!
Quick getaway from DFW with all the fun of camping without pitching a tent. I really enjoyed the hammock and fire pit and the treehouse stayed warm enough to sleep even though there was still snow on the ground. There were beavers close enough to see and hear down in the creek which was really cool. There is a dropoff where the creek is and the stairs up to the treehouse were a little steep/leaning so I wouldn't say this is a place to stay with little kids, but for adults, this is a super fun and convenient getaway. Lots of stars to see!
The treehouse is dope! The whole place is awesome and they have goats!!

Rachel, I am glad you had a great stay. Have a Healthy and Happy New year!!!
Had a great visit! Private, relaxing, secure. Layes out on the trampoline and watched the sub set and stars come out. Host Steve was gracious and took us on a tour of the property and even let us feed his goats! We will definitely visit again!

Laura, glad you enjoyed your stay, and thanks for the kind words. Until our paths cross again, all the best to you!
We enjoyed our short stay a ton! Steve was a great host and the property was lovely. We would love to come back and explore another time.
Upon arrival Steve was kind enough to give me and my son a tour of his property on his tractor. He even let my son Braxton take the reigns and drive the tractor. The treehouse was perfect spot to have a campsite along the creek, we were provided firewood that kept the fire going all night. Steve also let us feed his goats, my son loved it. This is a perfect place for a weekend or just a night get away from the city. Steve our host was awesome and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Will definitely be back and recommend checking it out. Thanks Steve!

Blake glad you had a great stay. Thanks for your nice review. You soon Braxton is a great kid and your a great Dad. You guys are welcome anytime. Until next time the best to you and your family!-Steve
We had a great time! The treehouse was small and rustic, but nicely situated and with an air conditioner and air mattress as promised. We enjoyed Steve’s tour of the trails and the goats, the swimming pool and hot tub, and a beautiful night under the stars. My five year old loved learning to drive a tractor! Steve was very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back in the spring!

Vanessa, you and your son were a delight to host. Glad you had a nice stay. Thanks for the positive review, and until we meet again, stay healthy and happy! -Steve
