4R Ranch Winery Campsite

141 sites · RVs, Tents1132 acres · Muenster, Cooke
Where the short-grass prairie drops into the Red River Valley, the 4R Ranch—with its magnificent vistas and rocky terrain—is perfectly suited for growing grapes. Patriarch W.C. Roper encouraged his family of sixth-generation Texans to share the beauty of this extraordinary place with others; and so it was love of this man and love of the land that inspired 4R Ranch Vineyards & Winery. Chinquapin oaks, white-tailed deer, the endangered black-capped vireo, and the occasional Rio Grande turkey inhabit this incredible property. Powered by sun, earth and wind, 4R Ranch Vineyards & Winery calls us all to slow our pace, enjoy the view, and sip a glass of wine in the magnificent Red River Valley.

The Indigo Hills Prairie & Wildflow

10 sites · RVs, Tents50 acres · Farmersville, Collin
The very best native blackland prairie known to exist in the world. The prairie is surrounded by trees with plenty of shade for camping. If you get hot, take a swim in the spring fed pond that has cool water currents in certain spots. Or take the kids fishing off the fishing pier, and if they don't catch one, I'll give your money back. Come see us, enjoy nature and have fun.

Fieldsong Farm

2 sites · RVs, Tents13 acres · Lucas, Collin
In 2013, we bought our 13 acres from a larger parcel of land that had been owned and farmed by the Snider family for 150 years. (Note that we live on Snider Lane). The Sniders played an important part in the development of our town, Lucas, and surrounding schools. The rest of the land has been sold to two families, and all three purchasers (that includes us!) are establishing small family farms. Hurray! Plus the Snider's old house and barn next door are being renovated by the new owners! Since 2013, we have brought in water and electricity to the land, built fences, a house and several barns. We have a flock of chickens, a bunch of loud, nosey Nubian dairy goats, 2 cats and 2 dogs. We farm organic vegetables, and have planted some fruit trees. We are committed to conservation of our land and the wildlife that call it home, and are working to restore our wildflower meadow (location of the campsite) to original prairie state. Come see us; we'd like to share it all with you! Learn more about this land: Come to Fieldsong Farm, absorb the peace and serenity, and leave refreshed!  Stake your tent on the edge of our tallgrass wildflower meadow, and immerse yourself in diversity where the city ends and the country begins.  Enjoy a fire in the fire ring from your seat on a "porch" swing as the sun goes down and the wildlife begin their nightly symphony.  When the sun comes up, you'll have many choices to make--cycling, horseback riding, fishing, boating, paddling, hiking, running, strolling, visiting with the goats, cats and chickens, helping with farm chores, or just sitting to enjoy the peace and serenity of the farm.  There are many great shopping and eating choices withing 15 miles.   Breakfast will be brought to your campsite for an additional fee, booked in advance.  Horse pasture rentals is available, also booked in advance.  (We do not offer horseback riding,) Eggs, local honey, seasonal veggies, baked goods artisan food products, goat milk products and firewood are available for sale.  No dirt bikes, ATVs or RTVs; no motorcycles except as transportation. No discharge of firearms allowed. No hunting, no bows and arrows, no fireworks.

this is Paradise on Lake Texoma

27 sites · Lodging, Tents100 acres · Pottsboro, Grayson
Paradise on Lake Texoma (formerly Paradise Cove) is a beautiful, secluded commercial campground located in the "Big Mineral Arm'' of Lake Texoma. Built in the 80's by the Corps of Engineers, Paradise has been a mainstay of the lake for many years. Recently, the current management team are working to grow Paradise into something special. With a huge focus on community and culture, Paradise has tons of space for people to come together and enjoy the company and also areas to wander off and find a quiet lakeside spot to relax. You'll also be able to catch one of the best breathtaking sunsets on the lake! The wildlife we have on the property is amazing! I have deer that sleep in my front yard, opossums, 600 bird species, and my favorite… the armadillos! We offer Kayaking on the property for a fee. We have a beautiful Hammock Garden free for guests to kick back and relax. Texoma Water Taxi is a text away to give guests a ride anywhere on the lake including restaurants. Rock-N A Ranch is roughly 20 minutes away and offers horseback riding. The Cabins and Campsites are within walking distance from each other but far enough away to create that illusion of privacy. We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods.  In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. You’ll notice little touches of Asia, Mexico, and even Hill Country Texas! We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and treat every guest like family. We’re always a text away! You’ll see us out and about on our golf carts. If you ever need anything just holler (: Check-in time is at 3 pm. Our staff works really hard to make sure everything is perfect for your stay and we can’t guarantee it will be if you arrive before then. Parking, we work really hard to keep our property beautiful. Be sure to park in parking areas only.

Daylight Inflatable Stargazing Dome

3 sites · Lodging26 acres · Blue Ridge, Collin
Imagine Yourself: -Watching the most glorious sunsets -Cooking out on a grill or over an open fire while spending time with your favorite people -Saying hello to the cows and the farm cats if they stroll by for a visit -Making the perfect s’more -After dark, turning off all of the lights and watching the stars (and sometimes fireflies!) from your comfortable bed You can have all of this (and dare we say more!) at Crescent Moon Domes. Your adventure is waiting. FAQs: -Is the dome private? Yes, you do not share any space. There is one other dome and a mobile home on the property but there are no sightlines between the two domes. Please see our drone shot in the photos. The white colored PVC walls are opaque and are a minimum of 9 feet tall. During the winter, you may get a glimpse of the other dome guests walking down the pathway to their dome, but we're working to quickly improve this. Privacy was a major consideration in the development of the property. -Is there heating/air conditioning? Yes. The living room and each bedroom have a mini-split unit (see photos on top the bar and on top of each bed). They are working great in the winter so far, but we do provide extra blankets and recommend guests bring a few extra layers in case they're prone to feeling cold. It is "glamping" after all! ;) -Do we share a bathroom? No, the bathroom is yours. The "bath house" has two sides, but you only have access to one of the sides and we've built a wall in between so you don't see the guests of the other dome. -Do you provide firewood, decorations, etc.? Not yet, but the ability to add "extras" to your stay are in progress. -Can we move our reservation because of weather? Unfortunately, no. The only time we will cancel is if the roads are too icy to access the property. We'll be in touch if that type of weather is forecasted. We will say, though, that rain storms during dome stays are ultra cozy. -Wifi? Yes, sort of. We are at the mercy of satellite. We recommend planning to not have Wifi and, if it works for you- bonus! You'll have two bedrooms with comfortable queen beds. Both bedrooms have incredible stargazing views and 9 foot tall white privacy walls. The living room is a wonderful place to spend time together and make memories. The dome living room looks out on, in our opinion, one of the most breathtaking sights in DFW with some of the best sunsets. In addition to it being a wonderful gathering spot, the sofa folds down into a twin bed for additional sleeping. The dome contains air conditioning, mini fridge, coffee bar, and basic plates/utensils. You'll have access to water just outside of the door to rinse dishes. Just steps from the dome is a sparkling clean bath house with linens and basic amenities provided. Outside, you'll have a grill, picnic table, and outdoor seating. You'll be just steps from the cows grazing. Maybe they'll even stop by for a visit!
