Pitch a tent in the lovely Pottawatomie County in Oklahoma. We have created a wonderful site in the middle of the forest for you! Lovely oak trees as far as the eye can see, barred owls, deer, hundreds of species of birds. Feel free to explore in designated areas (ask me about other areas outside your campsite), feel nature's rejuvenating energy and be in our sacred space. The site is walk in only, about 100 yards, so bring your wheel barrow or cart, although the property is 15 acres in its entirety, the campsite is on about a quarter acre with one large central site and a few alcove sites. We do have neighbors up the hill, but there is NO Visual of these houses. Sometimes neighborhood kids ride their 4 wheelers down our road and use our cul-de-sac to turn around, and you might occasionally hear them, but you can't see them and they can't see you, but most of the time it's very quiet.

My location is about 8 miles due west of the little town of Caney, Oklahoma. I’m very rural, no close neighbors, 19 acres of pasture and woods. Plenty of places to park, one area is back in the woods a bit with water and 50 amp service, others strictly boondocking. There’s not much “close” to me but I’m kind of centrally located between Atoka, Texoma and McGee lakes. Boggy depot state park and Fort Washita is close by and south of me is the Choctaw Casino. It’s very quiet and no nighttime lights so there’s an awesome night sky.
Please check out the map I've included in my photos for precise directions. The last 2.5 miles to get to my house is by gravel road and my entrance may be a bit difficult to spot but my name and address is on the big black mailbox. Just turn in and cross the cattle guard and go through the driveway into the open field. Parking is on the north side of the drive along the tree line or back in the woods. Don’t hesitate to contact me directly for directions. If you follow my guidance, you should have no problem finding me or turning into my drive.
Pets are welcome but I suggest they remain on a leash if you’re around my house or other campers and please clean up after them. The open field around my house is not always mowed because my neighbor cuts the hay and I like the spring wildflowers. I try to keep a walking path around my place but I travel too so at times it may not be well maintained. Since I do travel a lot, I may not be home when you arrive. Please make yourself at home and leave the place as you found it. Thank you!

Soggy Bottom Trails Pub and Campground sits on 120 acres right on the bank of the South Canadian River near the historic iconic Byars-Wanette Railroad bridge. There are many trials to ride on, river access, swim and more. When the river is low enough, you can travel 100+ miles either direction on the river. We offer a variety of camping options to suit your needs, including primitive tent / RV camping sites with dry and water hookups and cozy cabins for those who prefer a little more comfort. Our campsites are situated in a beautiful, natural setting, surrounded by trees and wildlife. Each campsite is spacious and private, giving you plenty of room to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.
One of the highlights of our campground is our onsite pub, which features a great selection of beers and wine and non-alcoholic drinks as well as delicious pub fare. It's the perfect place to unwind after a day of ATV riding, hiking, fishing, or exploring the nearby attractions. We have live music most Saturday evenings at the pub.
Speaking of attractions, there's plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. We're located just a short drive from Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Turner Falls Park, and Lake Thunderbird State Park, all of which offer a wide range of outdoor activities and stunning scenery.
At Soggy Bottom Trails Pub and Campground, we pride ourselves on providing top-notch customer service and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. My location is about 8 miles due west of the little town of Caney, Oklahoma. I’m very rural, no close neighbors, 19 acres of pasture and woods. Plenty of places to park, one area is back in the woods a bit with water and 50 amp service, others strictly boondocking. There’s not much “close” to me but I’m kind of centrally located between Atoka, Texoma and McGee lakes. Boggy depot state park and Fort Washita is close by and south of me is the Choctaw Casino. It’s very quiet and no nighttime lights so there’s an awesome night sky.
Please check out the map I've included in my photos for precise directions. The last 2.5 miles to get to my house is by gravel road and my entrance may be a bit difficult to spot but my name and address is on the big black mailbox. Just turn in and cross the cattle guard and go through the driveway into the open field. Parking is on the north side of the drive along the tree line or back in the woods. Don’t hesitate to contact me directly for directions. If you follow my guidance, you should have no problem finding me or turning into my drive.
Pets are welcome but I suggest they remain on a leash if you’re around my house or other campers and please clean up after them. The open field around my house is not always mowed because my neighbor cuts the hay and I like the spring wildflowers. I try to keep a walking path around my place but I travel too so at times it may not be well maintained. Since I do travel a lot, I may not be home when you arrive. Please make yourself at home and leave the place as you found it. Thank you!

Stayed at Dave’s Hideout for five days and loved it. Beautiful spot. Tons of stars at night, peaceful, and you can hear and see plenty of wildlife. The grass smelled amazing after the rain. You’re far enough out to feel secluded but can still see other campers in the distance.
Dave is also an amazing and kind host.

We had a relaxing time at Sundance. The lake access is close and the amenities are as described. The positives: lake is nice and close to the tiny houses, we had good access to a couple lake side beaches, the hosts are communicative, and the tiny house village is very quaint and cozy. The negatives: If you’re coming on the 4th of July, despite the no fireworks policy for this property, the surrounding neighbors are pyromaniacs, The grill bottom we had was rusted out and we had to find a portable charcoal grill to cook our food, and we didn’t have any privacy shades on our tiny home. Overall, it was a positive experience and I would stay here again.

I highly recommend both the lovely, secluded campground area plus the host. Glenn came by to meet me at check in and made me feel so welcome plus offered any help if I needed anything. This was my first Hipcamp experience and it really delivered. Definitely ecommend staying if you’re nearby and want to skip the hotel for quiet and relaxation

Amazing as always! We both had a great time! We missed Donkey the first day but he came by the following night and it was so lovely to see him and the horses.
The sky was amazing as always. Couldn't have asked for a better spot or a better trip! They did a lot of trimming since the last time we went and I never knew how big the property actually was!
