Located at the end of a dirt road, quiet with views of Killington/Pico and Salt Ash Mountain. Its a 15 min drive from Okemo/Ludlow, 10min drive from the Appalachian trail (7.9 mile walk) and there are 3 other Ski resorts within an hour of us as well as numerous lakes and hiking trails. Just 2 miles up the road is Star Lake and the quaint town of Belmont. Our 7 acres sits on the Northside of Belmont hill. Half of it is open with several gardens to meander through. There is a pergola filled with kiwis and wisteria and a hammock for lounging. A shady grape arbor filled with white grapes that we have made wine with. On property we have a tree fort, greenhouse, chickens and pigs. We do provide fresh eggs for sale. There is a medium pond in the back for swimming, a large fire pit for fires and but the Hip Shack comes with its own fire pit/grill combo. Wood bundle's are also available. There is a rudimentary outdoor toilet and shower. The shower can be filled with hot water using the faucet by the garage. All water from hoses, pump hoses and faucets is the same drinkable well water, collected from the many underground springs that also feed into the pond.

Hello, welcome to Know Town located amidst the close knit hills of central Vermont and nestled in the heart of the Stony Brook watershed in the town of Stockbridge. We have just over 40 acres of diverse natural beauty to explore and bask in, which includes a beautiful stretch of the brook with multiple dunking spots, as well as a larger swimming hole. In addition to Know Town's own outdoor activities, there are plenty of hiking trails and big river swimming holes located nearby. Currently, we offer three options for your overnight stays, as we just added The Swimming Hole site. This new site is very special and is sure to be a place that you will want to return to. Our Geodesic dome is the epitome of glamping with the comforts of home, but still integrated into the natural surroundings. Located right on the brook with a private fire pit and outdoor dining set up. There is plenty of room for games in the large field and a separate camp spot overlooking a little water fall and one of our swimming holes. For those who enjoy car camping we have the Apple tree camp site. Located right on the brook with a big rock for sunbathing and a spacious area for tents and rooftop car campers. There are a couple of apple trees to relax in the shade under and a large picnic table and fire pit. Know Town welcomes well mannered dogs (2 per site). We are 420 friendly and geared towards hosting those interested in arts, music, meditation, and ecology. There is virtually no light pollution which makes for optimal stargazing. Also, it should be noted that there is currently no Wi-Fi or cell service. Please be aware that Vermont prohibits out-of-state Firewood. We sell firewood for dome and campfires, and guests are welcome to scavenge the plethora of downed dead wood on the property.

Looking for a warm and cozy space? Our 12acres are beautifully wooded with our pond as the central point of interest. Camping with a trailer is a fun experience. The communal pavilion has picnic table/benches, propane grill, shared refrigerators, pans, utensils, and dishwashing area and string lights. Please expect some vintage aspects, such as door handles, screens, windows, that function according to their age. These are not new modern trailers and we think that adds to the appeal! However they are clean and cozy! Your trailer is down by the pond, the wildlife clay bottom is spring fed, swimming is allowed during daylight hours only and it is "Swim at your own Risk". Please read the house rules regarding rinsing off and refraining from getting suntan oil etc. in the pond. We usually have wood on site for sale, advance request is much appreciated and please pay upon arrival with cash, $15 per ample bundle and $15 for a bag of charcoal. We do not deliver after 6pm so please order in advance. PLEASE NOTE- you do not have our property to yourselves. We live onsite and on any given night, both trailers can be rented. The cook station, picnic table/benches under the pavilion and composting toilet are communally used. IMPORTANT-PLEASE PLAN TO CHECK IN BETWEEN 4 and 6:30 pm as this is not a location where we can accommodate arrivals after dark. After checking in, you can head back out for dinner, we are a mere 5 miles from Quechee. We have PYO Blueberries and a farm stand open from mid July to August. We sell organically grown blueberries and produce locally. Learn more about this land: Our private Sugar Shack is at the end of our blueberry fields and faces the forest. The Sugar Shack sleeps two in a comfy double bed with clean sheets and a fleece blanket. I wash the linens and blanket in hot water for each and every booking. Please bring your own extra blankets or sleeping bag if the weather is cold. An additional clean quilt with duvet cover can be added for a $ 10 per booking fee. We have a 3 mile round trip hike to Harlow Brook with a map. We are on the edge of a wildlife corridor and often see deer, coyotes, fox, waterfowl, songbirds and the occasional bear. (Keep food in your car at night so that the bear does not eat it!) We are above the Ottauquechee River at North Hartland Lake. We have rentable canoes and a kayak. We can transport you to and pick you up for a canoe trip on the Connecticut River or to North Hartland Lake.. We are located two miles from Quechee, 7 miles from historic Woodstock to the west, and 7 miles to hip White River Junction to the east and 8 1/2 miles to Dartmouth College and the Appalachian Trail. There are fun casual restaurants with some sit down and take-out nearby and our local Jakes Market can provide you with a nice selection of groceries. Hot Air Balloon pilots often take off and land in our fields and it is always a magical site. We can connect you with local pilots if you wish to purchase a Balloon Adventure.

No electricity but LED battery lighting. l. Note that we do not charge a cleaning fee like some sites. We appreciate our guest leaving the camp as found. So far so good! Camp has the following: LP 2 burner cook top, pots and pans, dishes, flat ware, some spices and such. Fresh clean water will be at the camp when you arrive. The furnished jugs have been cleaned. If you still wish to bring your own drinking water please do so in reusable jugs. We are trying to limit plastic use. NOTE: Using GPS, Google map, or other device our address may come up as Perkinsville, Ascutney, or even Springfield even though the town is Weathersfield. Camping is provided by and in support of the Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center, a 501 3C non-profit company. Located in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest, the Outdoor Center provides access to the Blueberry Hill network of trails, the Vermont Long Trail, The Catamount Trail, and the Moosalamoo National Forest Trails. All campsites are located at the edge of the field behind the Outdoor Center. We have hot/cold outdoor showers as well as restrooms in the Outdoor Center. Cell service is limited at best. You can drive your car right up to your site. Sites are a good distance apart. Site 1 and the Bed in the Shed are the most private. Site two is quite open and supports trailers. For your campfire, you can forage for wood or request "bundles" (about a dozen hunks of wood) by the morning of your arrival, and we'll have it delivered to your site. Please note, wood from outside Vermont is not permitted. Step outside your tent and you'll find a wealth of hiking, biking, and running trails. As stewards of these trails, your camping fees help support the efforts of this non-profit comany. Nearby, you can enjoy swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. Trail maps are provided upon arrival, and you can also view them online on our webpage at Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center. Rules to follow onsite When dry you can drive right to the tent, otherwise it is a Hike-To Campsite, it's approximately 400 feet from the parking area. No motorized vehicles permitted on the property beyond parking area. This is to help minimize traffic on the property and preserve natural environment and service road. Parking: There is a parking area for multiple cars located at the entrance of the property, and is limited to 10 vehicles. Turn onto the private dirt road marked 361 Mt. Independence Road. Continue down the road about a 1/2 mile until you see the parking area sign. If you'd rather not drive your vehicle up the dirt road, there is designated parking space at the base of the entrance near the old barn. Park in designated parking space only. Once parked in Parking area follow the mowed path to the campsite. This is a Posted Private Property. You'll see the signs at entrance of property. Please stay on the mowed campsite, trails or road. Do not cut trees or damage natural landscape. Please leave the site as you found it. Clean up after yourself and your pets. My great grandfather settled here in the late 1930's from Stanstead, Canada, Our family milked dairy cows until 2006 at which time my Dad sold the herd and leased out to neighbor that continues the farming activities on the farm. In 2020, my husband and I became the proud owners of Lake Home Farm. For many years my grandparents rented row boats at this campsite which brought so much joy to so many. We are excited to engage with Tentrr and our campers to share this gem while continuing the relationship with our neighbor who crops the land. Note: this campsite is named after Dot, Dot lived in Ludlow, VT and she spent her summers at this site for all the years of my childhood. She was famous for her turtle soup and we're delighted to remember her in this way!

Huntress Haven Farm is located in the scenic valley of the First Branch of the White River. One of the main attractions to the farm is the dairy goat herd (kids of all ages LOVE them) Because of the livestock we cannot allow dogs. In addition, we have farm dogs on the property; the dogs are very friendly, but they are also protective of the livestock. Guests have lots of fun access to the animals and are welcome to participate in milking and chores. There are many foraging opportunities year-round. This was built as a personal vacation retreat and we gladly share it now with adventurers and romantics! 40 Private Acres - Fire-pits, comfortable outdoor furniture, and plenty of room to roam will make this unique stay memorable, relaxing, with absolute privacy with stunning views. The bespoke wooden Tower boasts 360 degree views of the surroundings. It is built on piers and has windows on the perimeter. A large table, outdoor chairs on the 2nd Level platform is an ideal space for gathering or picnicking. The 3rd enclosed level is furnished with a built in brand new queen bed and long custom built-in couch with a bar table and 4 chairs. Small fridge and Fan on site. No Bathroom in Tower. The Cabin is fully equipped, applianced, and is furnished with a Full Bed in the Loft, 2 Twins in a Trundle Daybed, and a Cot and Blow Up are available. Full Kitchen, Shower, Toilet in the Bathroom. Come by and visit us down the road at Slateville Farm to enjoy our fresh produce/eggs, over 8 miles of private hiking trails, and numerous swimming holes. Weekend Trip to Green Mountain Getaway

More amenities and supplies than expected. The cabin was well stocked with lots of potable water, dishes, firewood, etc. Which was helpful because it was unseasonably cold and rainy and we needed to light the wood stove to warm up! A nice view, and a nice cabin to unwind and unplug.

The dome was amazing! Had all the basic you would need for a few nights. Plus the outhouse was very nice ;) The property was so peaceful with the river steps away from the dome. As noted it does get very cold on below freezing nights but the indoor wood stove became my best friend. I would definitely recommend for people who love a nature camping/rustic glamping experience! Bow the host was very responsive and helpful too.

Adorable cabin, great folks (hosts) and beautiful spot. Appreciate the fire ring and picnic table. Clean, well kept landscape with plenty of room to lounge and hang out. You can tell they put a lot of thought into it. Location is near cute little towns and trails are walking distance from the property. Bike straight from the property. The cleanest pet-friendly place I ever stayed. I'll definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Know Town

Knowtown has what you need…from the soothing but energizing music of the creek to the cool, sun-dappled woods or the wide open field under the stars to the funky and functional facilities, this is the slice of secluded magic you may have been looking for. We stayed in the Dome this time - which was the perfect mix of art, shelter and coziness…plus some powerfully cool acoustic qualities (you have to experience it to get it) but I’ve already booked a week of tent camping later in the summer and will likely be back again for a night or two in the meantime. Bow & Lori were gracious, helpful and just all around good folks so you’re in excellent hands, and - for all of its seclusion - Knowtown is a few minutes away from multiple eateries, general stores and gas stations and just a few minutes more from the interstate.

Weekend Trip to Riverside Retreat and Tiny Cabin

This tiny riverside cabin was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. It was fully stocked with all the basics and so many very thoughtful details, as well. The site was nicely tucked away and private. The cleanliness of the porta-potty was also notable - world's cleanest porta potty. Robbin was an excellent and thoughtful host with very thorough notes for our stay at cabin (every quick question we came across could be answered by her notes) and she also sent along a comprehensive list of things to visit in the area which ended up being the guide to our adventures around the area. Everything about our stay was perfect down to the amount of firewood provided with our 2-night stay. The only thing we would have changed about our stay would be to stay longer. We will absolutely be visiting again!

Had a great time my with 12 year old daughter at the dome! It's a beautiful site, right by the river. The dome is very cozy and clean, the stove is awesome. We were in early April and it got below freezing overnight, it definitely got cold but stayed warm under the blankets! Owners were chill and great. Thank you!

We had a great stay at this cabin and would absolutely come back. One of the things I appreciated most is how private it is—unlike many other rentals, there are no additional sites on the property, so the cabin and the surrounding space are entirely yours. The cabin itself is exactly as described, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. What truly stood out to me, though, was how welcome we felt. As an immigrant, I’m very intentional about choosing places where my family—and really anyone from a minority background—can feel safe and respected. This was definitely one of those places. The owners are genuinely kind, good people, and it shows in the way they host. A lovely bonus: they make their own maple syrup, which you can purchase during your stay. And the views are beautiful—you can see the mountains right from the cabin, which made mornings and evenings especially memorable. Overall, a peaceful, welcoming place that I’d highly recommend.

This little getaway was the perfect little adventure for my boyfriend’s birthday. The hosts were so helpful, giving us the option to purchase fire wood for the wood stove. We didn’t think we’d need it but the brisk mornings and breezy sunsets gave us the perfect opportunity to get cozy. The view left us stunned as we do not experience anything like it in our small Mass town. We cannot wait to plan another trip here to experience every season!

My husband & I stayed in John & Pattie’s cabin for his birthday, and we brought our 3 dogs! We typically choose secluded sites as our dogs are very weary/nervous of strangers and like their space. This cabin was the perfect spot for them! A heads up; they give you warnings via signage in the cabin and i will warn you as well; there are a LOT of ticks! it’s the woods, there’s gonna be ticks but we’d use a sticky roller & find one every time we were outside on the dogs. just get a good flea & tick for them 👌 there is a cast iron stove that kept us extremely warm during the below freezing nights, & our hosts provided all the wood for the inside stove which was so kind. on our way home to philadelphia, we stopped by a local dispensary and met some of the nicest people. we’d never been to vermont before & this was an amazing first experience. everyone we’d met there was sooo nice, starting with our hosts John & Pattie! we bought some of their homemade maple syrup (HIGHLY recommend)! John also came up to the cabin to check on us & surprised our dogs, (our dogs don’t love strange men… apologies again, john!) and he responded exactly as one should when approached by barking, nervous dogs. it was refreshing and while i’m upset with my dogs for running up to him, it’s nice to see someone who understands how to interact with dogs. thank you so much for having us, we will be back for a winter camp next season ❤️

Weekend Trip to Green Mountain Getaway

We stayed 2 nights with our 2 dogs in March. The weather was colder than usual, both nights below freezing temps outside. The wood stove had no issue keeping the inside of the cabin very warm despite the cold (accidentally let it get up to 80+ degrees and had to open windows). We brought all of our usual camping gear because I like it be overly prepared but didn't need most of it at all. Would have been fine if we just brought food and clothing everything else is provided. Very quiet and secluded feel with a nice view overlooking valley below and mountain across the valley. Good view of the sky and no light pollution. Great trip very relaxing was able to put phones away and unwind.

And the area is very dog friendly.. The heater was plenty warm for the cold nights.. I am a smoker and we were getting a little bit of rain so Robyn brought me over a canopy and set it up for me. This was our second time at Shrek’s and it was just as amazing as the first time! We love the remoteness of the cabin and the wildlife was amazing! We’ll be back for sure! The hike in is not bad at all!
