Barbless hooks are required (you can file them off, let us know we can help). Adults are fly rod only, Kids are fly or spinning rod. No is license required for the pond. The Brook requires an CT state fishing license and trout stamp to fish. Never fly fished... don't worry we can help. Check out addons below.

The octagon is a private 122 ft.² that is electrified and heated. It has a full size bed, cabinet and table with chairs. It sits next to a brook on 56 acres of forest with a pond, small waterfall, marsh and 2 1/2 miles of hiking trails. There is a fire pit and outdoor dining area next to the octagon. We also have a propane outdoor grill and propane two burner camp stove. Out house with composting toilet close to octagon is heated. A great place to rejuvenate in the forest! Dogs welcome.

With the original home built in 1785, Milk Thistle farm is on the historic register and is comprised of the main house and 5 acres of land. The main property is fenced in and is closed off to visitors. We have two sites; the orchard to explore that can also double as hammock camping, as well as a small wooded nook. Me, my fiancé and our dogs absolutely loved this place! Nancy and Bert were the best hosts! You could tell they truly love doing this and thought of every little detail you would need while being there! The property was perfect for the dogs to explore while we sat by the fire and relaxed, and they have such a nice trail to explore on, even a cute little fairy garden on it! We couldn’t have found a more perfect spot for our multiple trips into New Haven or to the other places we visit from this location. The drive was easy, the spot was level and it was quiet and peaceful.
It was tight. We had to back our 31’ fifth wheel out of the 2nd entrance because the first entrance was too tight, but we knew that from everyone else’s comments.

We enjoyed camping at Tyler’s land. Great get away spot to come out to nature to have a relaxing time. A new clean bathroom w/o any smell. Washing station & shower area were added . Just wrapped up a great 1 night stay at the pond site-
Beautiful spot right on the water with a in the middle of nowhere feel despite being close to many CT shoreline attractions.
Host had great communication and was accommodating- we opted for fresh eggs and also firewood bundles which were dry and on the smaller size which made for easy fire starting.
Very peaceful campsite with shade and trees to set up a hammock but also enough clearing by the water for star gazing.
There was a platform for your tent that was big enough for our 6 person tent with plenty of room for a nice water view sitting area.
I am sure we will be back!
