No is license required for the pond. The Brook requires an CT state fishing license and trout stamp to fish. Never fly fished... don't worry we can help. Check out addons below.

This 3 night spot was in the right area for my travels and rest. It’s visually private but there is a well traveled road beside and neighbor noises. Peaceful enough. There is a short trail along stone wall boundaries and small access to a swampy pond to stretch your legs. The site worked well for my small car, but take care of roots, rocks, and holes if needing to turn something big around. Puncture risk. It’s been cleared, but not really graded yet. The wood chips made immediate area nice. I didn’t use the fire pit or other amenities, but it has the potential for being even better site.

The Getaway Campsite is an amazing site! Karyssa is an excellent host and provided us with the most thorough directions on getting to a site that we’ve ever had. Her communication was crystal clear. The site itself is spacious and welcoming. We used our own tent, but the tents provided are clean and in great condition. The granite slab tables have ample seating and are perfect spaces for kitchen tools and utensils. The brick grill is awesome. We used it to make bacon and eggs, burgers, and camp pizza. If you’re not up for cooking by fire, there’s also a restaurant style flattop grill with propane. This is the site you want if you’re looking to make some bomb camp meals! We used the fire pit every night and there is plenty of kindling and deadwood around to keep the fires burning. There was only one chair by the pit, but luckily we always bring our own and it wasn’t a problem. People can sit at one of the tables and be close to the fire, but not as close as they’d be if they brought their own chair. The best part of the site is the river access and the kayaks, SUP, and canoe. We went out on multiple kayak trips up and down the river; caught a sunset after we headed south one evening. When the sun would come around the trees in the afternoon we cooled off in the river. It was chilly but refreshing. The bottom is pretty muddy, but we brought our water shoes and it was fine. The dock was awesome! We had a phenomenal time!

Great private spot overlooking the pond. Tent platform make for easy set up. No problem getting to the site with an AWD car. Hosts were very accommodating.

Loved camping at the Stonewall Site! It’s a short but steep hike down to the site with plenty of privacy! Slightly buggy but other than that awesome. Stephen and Sandra were extremely responsive and accommodating!
