Uncle Jerry's farm is a 5+ acre property with the main house and barn located on the front of the property close to the road with a large flat field area with apple trees, horse chestnuts, and huckleberries to harvest in season. At the back edge of the field the property turns mature white pine and deciduous forest that slopes down to the Moscow Brook. We very warmly welcome any suggestions to improve the stay at this beautiful property we are just getting going and many improvements are planned in the very near future as well. Common areas for fire pit and barbecue. Trails down the hill through the woods one to a platform along the river and the other to a swimming hole. Situated in historic Hopkinton established in 1757 near to beaches, fishing, hiking trails, public golf courses, disk golf, riding stables, Mystic, Seaport, Watch Hill, casinos, farm stands, Newport, I-95 and Amtrak. Mushroom hunting among glacier rocks, and monstrous ferns. It's a getaway that's close to everything!

This site offers a wooden platform 15' x 15' just feet away from the Moscow Brook. On the tent platform is a six person tent with lots of windows for air and a skylight! In the fall, it gets a small woodstove for chilly nights and mornings! There is a full size futon in the tent so just bring your sleeping bags!! This is a very secluded private spot with access to a shared composting toilet and its own solar warmed foot pump shower. All sites at the property share a common area with a fire pit and then another with a barbecue grill and picnic table.

We had a good time at Uncle Jerry's farm. It was barebones, we cooked hot dogs on the fire, then retired to the tent for some white noise from the stream. We were going through some personal trials, and this was a great escape. The property is lovely and a good spot for just bare bones hanging out and getting away. Recommend ma and pa's for a good sandwich and maybe a sweet treat, and just relaxing and taking in some nature. We did go on a holiday weekend and heard some music from a distance while at the fire pit, but once we went to the tent the stream drowned it out. Not sure if that was due to some rain in the area but all in all a good experience for an affordable price

I loved everything about this site. The beautiful walk in nice open firepit, and the amazing brook literally running along the platform. So peaceful and the host left a wheelbarral for easy unloading to the campsite. I"m definately going to recommend and return:)

Large tent platform set back from the house and road off a wooded path surrounded by small pines. The site is right next to a river that’s larger than it looks like in the photos and the site is bathed with the sound. It feels like you’re in the middle of the woods. Great spot, would definitely return.

Grassy Meadow review with platform

Grassy Meadow small RV site
Grassy meadow site 1 is a shady, level private area behind the barn. It offers a private picnic table, shared fire pit and compost toilet. Road noise is minimal. We had to consider a couple low branches and rocks when setting up our RTT. We appreciated the convenient location and think with a little more attention to the site prep it will be an excellent site. We walked down the trail and checked out the tent platform. This is a large clean wood platform with views of the babbling brook. This is a very private, rustic hike in and large enough for a tent, table and chairs.

This spot was such an amazing find! I have only stayed at standard campsites where you can hear/see all the other tents around you and this was so much better. The communal area is great for fires and there is a brand new bbq. The outhouse is also new, and the compost toilet was easy to manage. The platform site is a short walk down from the communal area/toilet - not too far to be an inconvenience, but far enough that we could enjoy our site without worrying about keeping the neighbors up. The creek was the best part, it is amazing to listen to while falling asleep and we spent the day lounging on the rocks and cooling off with the water. The platform itself is very convenient, it feels like you are sitting on a porch overlooking the creek and there is a table with two chairs to sit and enjoy your meals by the water. Burkley, our host, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed before letting us enjoy our stay. The local shops are right down the road so you can grab anything you need, and since the platform is down the trail surrounded by undeveloped land it does not feel like you are still close to resources if needed. This really is a wonderful place, a hidden gem tucked away, and we cannot wait to return.
