The property features numerous hiking trails though fields and woods, a pond for swimming, boating, and excellent private fishing areas in the pond and brook; Fishing is catch and release only on the farm property. Barbless hooks are required (you can file them off, let us know we can help). Adults are fly rod only, Kids 1st time fishing spinning rods are allowed but fly rods are encouraged. No is license required for the pond. The Brook requires an CT state fishing license and trout stamp to fish. Never fly fished... don't worry we can help. Check out addons below.

The 1.3 acre parcel across the street from the house and farm has a forested peninsula that the A-frame is located on. Our street ends in a small stream that continues to separate the farmstead from the A-frame site.
Come stay in our tiny rustic A frame cabin built of mostly reclaimed materials. Enjoy being across the stream and over the bridge from the main house on a private peninsula. Enjoy the privacy of a "single site" camp! Use the fire pit, grill, outdoor wood stove, single burner butane stove or umm the bathroom :) without having to leave your site! Please be aware we are in town and you may hear road noise, lawn mowers, dogs, ect. You may also see and hear wildlife ex; deer, beavers, ducks, muskrats, rabbits, geese, foxes, and coyotes. We encourage native plants and work to provide a sanctuary for many threatened bird species.
The cabin is 100sq. feet with sloping interior walls the flip up side wall is permanently open and screened in. There is no running water or electricity so unplug and unwind. A place to plug in and the water spigot a short stroll from your cabin in the driveway The cabin has a a full size mattress with sheets, blankets, throws and pillows. Lanterns, cooking utensils, camp mugs and camp coffee pot are provided. Please request the cast iron skillet and butane burner, it will not be in the cabin if you do not ask for it.
You are also welcome to set up your own tent. Please note cleared space is limited and the tent should be a 1-3 person smaller tent.
Outside on the deck are tiki torches, woodstove and bistro table. There is a hammock, picnic table, and 2 sets of outdoor chairs at your site. We do not have a swimming hole but the town beach is 5 minutes away and requires a day pass.
If you forget something you are a short walk to Cumbies, and several farms, bakeries and a large grocer are a very short drive away. Venture farther (10 minutes) to one of the nearby hiking trails.
We are within 15 minutes of the Blackstone Gorge, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Cornier Woods, Franklin State Forest, Wojcik Farm, Cook's Valley Farm, the New England Bonsai Museum, Diamond Hill Vineyards, Caroline's Cannabis, Shire Conservation Area, New England Country Club, and many stables.
The Commuter Rail to Boston, Wrentham Premium Outlets, and a Drive-in Theater are within 30 minutes. Use us as a base to explore Blackstone Valley, Boston and Worcester!! Please let us know if you need something we may have it, we want you to enjoy your stay!!

The accommodation was clean and comfortable for our family (4 people). Having the animals nearby (goats, ducks, horses, chickens, rooster, pigs) is really nice for both kids and adults. Easy and pleasant communication with Jennifer. Surrounded by nature, very relaxing. We highly recommend this place.

We loved the Getaway Ranch! Karyssa was friendly and quick to answer any questions. Our campsite was private, large, and clean. The hibachi style grill and enormous tables made cooking and entertaining easy. The site accommodated 5 adults with ease. We will be returning ASAP.

This spot was such an amazing find! I have only stayed at standard campsites where you can hear/see all the other tents around you and this was so much better. The communal area is great for fires and there is a brand new bbq. The outhouse is also new, and the compost toilet was easy to manage. The platform site is a short walk down from the communal area/toilet - not too far to be an inconvenience, but far enough that we could enjoy our site without worrying about keeping the neighbors up. The creek was the best part, it is amazing to listen to while falling asleep and we spent the day lounging on the rocks and cooling off with the water. The platform itself is very convenient, it feels like you are sitting on a porch overlooking the creek and there is a table with two chairs to sit and enjoy your meals by the water. Burkley, our host, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed before letting us enjoy our stay. The local shops are right down the road so you can grab anything you need, and since the platform is down the trail surrounded by undeveloped land it does not feel like you are still close to resources if needed. This really is a wonderful place, a hidden gem tucked away, and we cannot wait to return.

This was a lovely site with so many conveniences! The outhouse was - dare I say - adorable and had no unpleasant smell. We didn’t stay in the tents (we were testing our Tesla in camping mode) but they were set up. We did use the fire pit, which they were so kind to set up with wood and everything! Our hikes were lovely. There is an adorable fairy pond. Most of all the peace! The birdsong! We had a really good time and want to come back with friends, who were very jealous when they saw the photos. The host was very kind and responsive. 10 out of 10, no notes!

This spot was perfect if you want super privacy. The little pond was full of frogs and turtles. We saw all kinds of animals out here, even a coyote! We stayed in our camper van but the gondola with an air mattress would be perfect if you want an easy set up. Our Sprinter is 19’ and it fit down the trail just fine, but I wouldn’t try with any larger cuz there is a tight turn thru a few trees. I’m sure there are other great spots you’d fit tho that don’t pass thru that way. If you forget anything, the store has all kinds of travel things, and more! We really loved this property and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Karyssa’s site was perfect! My dog and I used it as our stopover between surfing and hiking, and it was the perfect place to rest for the night. Well serviced with grill and fire pit, right next to a large serene pond. Birds, cicadas singing during the day, frogs and toads croaking in the night. Paradise!

All very beautiful. When I arrived everything is very clean, and easily accessible. What I liked the most was in the morning after going through a storm at night, very nice dawn looking at the river. The place is super private and from time to time very friendly people pass by in kayaks. I will return from camping to this place. Greetings from Honduras.
