For July 4th weekend, and Labor Day weekend drive-up sites are a 2 night minimum. In the off season starting after Thanksgiving through April, there is no water or toilet or shower facilities available. The solar shower and water lines may be shut off any time in October if freezing conditions prevail. Please check with us. Our 75 acres is a wonderful, diverse mix of habitat, harmoniously integrated with our small farm. This land was the homestead of the very first non native settler of the area, John Wiley, in 1787. Before that, it was the land of the Mahican native Americans. They named it "valley of the butternut trees", or Wyomanock. The Wyomanock Creek is the backbone of this little valley. Beaver have dammed the creek at several points to create ponds and other wetland features that support a diversity of wildlife including otter, moose and a myriad of birds, from osprey to herons. This sanctuary is host to many uncommon native plants and plant communities. We would love to share it with you! Your host, Thom, invites you to property to explore 75 acres of meadows, woods and water. Choose one of several sites either in the woods or open areas. You are also free to use our outdoor solar shower or take a dip in the cold pond or artesian spring fed pool. Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a bit of heaven. There are separate sites to choose. Around the farm, you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be in a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided) Our campsites are in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, others are on the edges of different farm fields, one a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars. During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay. We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam. Not far from here are numerous well-marked hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail (with famous Bash Bish Falls) and several offshoots (Sage's Ravine, Race Brook Falls), Bartholomew's Cobble, Umpacheenee Falls, and others). Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, gavel-road and country-road biking, and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Or... you can just chill and relax, sleep, or read the day away! Love food? This is Farm-to-Table for real! Never so close--the table's AT the farm! Bring your cooking gear and get some of our wicked fresh organic food--veggies, chops, sausages, eggs, bacon, granola, yogurt, etc. Sear yourself up a real treat! Very nearby, as the Berkshires is a cultural mecca, there are also numerous opportunities from many great restaurants to art, dance, music, spas, galleries, antique shops, museums, cafes and much more. It's still amazingly quiet at the farm where the Milky Way is clearly visible.

Sunrise Farm Sites 1 and 2 have oodles of space and Spectacular 50 mile views of Mount Monadnock with no house lights out there in the evening except the party string lights we provide. Site 1 (with entrance 70 yards south of the farmhouse) is best for camping in with up to 20 foot trailers or multiple tents …on the large flat spaces in the 25 acre field to choose from. Great Well water available near farmhouse. Biodegradable soaps Only if used in the ponds. Double Olympic sized Swim Pond we stock with Rainbow Trout to keep clear. We have been advised Not to allow imported firewood (can import Wood Beetle dangerous for our forest). - PLEASE use the Firewood bundle tubs we provide ($12.50) - pick up at the farmhouse or pull wood from the woods (and make it safer for use). Beautiful and plenty of wildlife nearby... as well as Outhouses are marked on Map we provide with solar lights marking them at night. Do Not Leave food out when camping or away from site. Venture out just several miles further and you will be immersed in museums and galleries, eateries, local breweries, shops and more. GROUP CAMPING Foolhardy Hill is smaller than your typical campground, making it feasible for groups to rent the entire place. If you have a group of 12 or more people or simply want a very exclusive experience, we highly recommend exploring this option. The entire campground can be rented out at discounted rate and is designed to comfortably sleep up to 24 people. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO Our cozy cabins are designed mainly for sleeping use, so space is limited when it comes to indoor activities. Guests should expect to spend the majority of their time outside. There's no such thing as too much fresh air! Foolhardy Hill is off-grid; The cabins are free of electricity, plumbing and gas connections meaning there is no air conditioning or heat. Solar and battery powered lighting systems are available at the cabins, however, guests should come prepared with back up light sources and their own portable charging stations. There is cell service at the property. Foolhardy Hill is a self service base camp (think Airbnb outside). Management is only a quick text or phone call away and staff can be onsite within 30 minutes. AMENITIES -Outdoor Kitchen is equipped with two large propane grills, three burners, cooking utensils, pots/pans/serving bowls, knives & cutting boards, dinnerware, coffee french press and mugs, counter space and bar top, picnic tables, washing station with potable water and more -Community bath house has two full bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers -Community fire pit has benches and chairs to comfortably seat 12-15 people. 4 nights at Grateful Acres Vermont

It’s nice and secluded. Was perfect for our two dogs. The cabin was clean and they supplied us with a lantern which came in handy in the cabin. The outhouse was clean too. The hosts answered our questions and was there if we needed anything. We were there for 5 days and the no showers were a little inconvenient, but we found public showers that were a half hour drive and stopped there after going out on hikes. Overall it was a perfect “off grid” vacation.

Had a lovely stay at Renel’s little cabin by the river. Would NOT have guessed it’s so close to a main road based on other reviews. That is not mentioned! The flow of the river right beside you drowns out most of the sound but big trucks and motorcycles are easily heard. Also, the cabin is in plain view from the bridge on Harbour Rd but there is not much traffic and we never felt intruded upon. So do not expect to be in the middle of nowhere, but we felt like there was plenty of privacy and peace. Cabin itself is great and Renel and family are delightful. Amazing first visit to Vermont!

River Haven was the perfect getaway. I was looking to go “off-grid” and that’s exactly what I got plus a cozy cabin with everything you need and beautiful stream to wake up and fall asleep too. It was perfect

Weekend Trip to The Cabin

Beautiful property with nice views. Cabin was comfortable and clean, as was the outhouse. Rainwater for washing was an added bonus. Julie the host could not have been nicer and accommodating. She knew it was going to be colder the night we stayed and left an extra blanket, which made all the difference. Also gave us lots of recommendations for eating spots. There is a great deal of wildlife, we heard owls and coyotes at night, but nothing bothered us. Would stay again.

Incredible location, hosts, and cabin. This was the perfect setup. It wasnt overdone to ruin the experience of the natural surroundings but still comfortable to stay in after a day of exploring. Julia and Dave were so kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend and plan to go back when I can.

We stayed in the Sunshine cabin and it exceeding what I expected for a rustic cabin. Stephanie added so many functional and Grateful Dead related items! As a long time head and aspiring homesteader Grateful Acres was the perfect fit for me. The site were spacious and have grills, firepits and hammock stands (hammock provided). My goal was to watch the Persieds and see the milky way away from the light pollution and this place was perfect for it! The property practices wildlife preservation which is the cherry on top for me! I'll be back for sure!

2 nights at Otters and Eagles Cabin

The location was beautiful and wonderfully private while still being easy to get to. Mark was very friendly with just giving us a basic tour and then left us unbothered the rest of the time. The name of the place is accurate as we watched otters play our first night and saw eagles a few times as well as a lot of other wildlife. I have put this place at the top of my list for when I need a peaceful woodsy getaway in the future. It was perfect.

My best friend and I had a lovely time at Mark’s cabin. The property is so peaceful and well-equipped to make for an stress-free stay. We enjoyed sitting by the pond with our books and making a fire with s’mores at night. There are plenty of things to do nearby; we enjoyed visiting a local coffee shop and bookstore and hiking.
