Learn more about this land: Secluded camp site, next to a salmon spawning creek in the forest. Picnic table seats 4 adult people comfortably. Short walk on a trail from parking. Portable toilet is now on a trailer and at the camp site. Nearby trail head for hiking and mountain biking in the greater forest. Check the calendar: If the site is vacant the night before your stay, you can check in early on that day. If the site is vacant the next night of your check out day, stay as long as you like. Let me know when you would like to check in, so that I can be there to meet you. Any combination of adults and children that can sit comfortably at a 6-foot picnic table is not a problem. Host does not receive text messages, only a land line with an answering machine, (old school). If you need to communicate, use the 425 # and please leave a message. Host goes to Safeway in town, daily, in the morning to check e-mail and Hipcamp messages and reply to Guests. Several guests have gotten lost relying on GPS only to find the property. Most do not have an issue. I suggest that you check with Google Map or another map service to know approximately where you are going. Plan on packing out your garbage and recycle trash, we have had a problem with bears raiding the trash cans. June 2022 just installed a park style grill. Bring your charcoal briquettes, grilling tools and steaks. Firewood is available at Safeway for about $8.00 a bundle. Host provides firewood for $10.00 a large tub, firewood is located at the camp site, pay cash at the camp site. Bring a small axe or a chopping tool to make kindling.Secluded camp site, next to a salmon spawning creek in the forest. Picnic table seats 4 adult people comfortably. Secluded and beautiful. Great for birding, we heard a barred owl, a great horned owl, saw a blue heron about 20’ away, and saw several belted kingfishers and woodpeckers, all in 48 hours!

Second time here. This time I brought my sister and my mother. We all had a WONDERFUL time at Andy’s. The creek is absolutely stunning with all the trees around. Plenty of room and so private! Close to town if you forgot anything and a lovely downtown to go walk around if you want.

Awesome spot! Great setup with plenty of seating, tables, clean porta potty, food storage, fire pit, and nice flat tent area! There’s even a short trail along the river with benches. Very peaceful!

Very peaceful and quiet, lots of space to sit by the stream, clean benches and tables. Host was helpful and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. We will definitely return next summer!

Great Get-Away!

This is an amazing camp site! It’s a private nook next to a creek with amazing amenities. Picnic tables, benches, a nice fire pit, a grill. It’s everything you could ask for. And, as my daughter pointed out, it has by far the nicest port-a-pot we’ve seen ever! Oh, and the creek was phenomenal as well.

We came back to our favorite camping spot (third year and counting). Our family loves this oasis and this year’s trip did not disappoint. Peaceful time with family and the dogs. Thank you Andrew, for allowing others to enjoy your property.

We had a great time camping here. Really pretty, and huge - there were only 2 of us, but there were 2 potential spots to pitch a tent, so you could have privacy even with a bigger group. Our dogs had a blast running around and digging in the dirt. There is a wagon to help you get your stuff down the path, but don't overpack, bc the path is steep in parts, and it gets heavy fast! Port-a-potty was surprisingly clean.

Great for our one night getaway!

Nice little spot next to the creek. Space was flat and good for our tent. Andrew was nice enough to help us with the wagon on our descent down the hill and the bathroom (Honeybucket) was close and clean. Very relaxing time!

Fantastic campsite in a tranquil location. Loved being the only camping group on site and exploring the grounds. The hill to carry down gear takes some effort but the provided carts help a ton. Host was gracious and helpful, bathrooms were clean and had firewood for sale on site! Will absolutely visit again!

We loved tent camping on Andrew's land next to the creek! Our 5 year old explored the creek almost a whole day while we relaxed and enjoyed her adventurous spirit. The property was very well maintained and Andrew was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We were able to unwind while feeling safe and comfortable. Bonus points for having wagons to help haul our supplies down to the site.

The pictures don't do this place justice, its quite, beautiful, and clean. There are a handful of beautiful spots to sit and enjoy the creek, no issue with cell service. Our host walked us to our spot and showed us the amenities and introduced us to the horses on the way. 100% would book again.

My wife and I really enjoyed camping 4 days by this creek in the woods. Beautiful secluded spot where we soaked our feet in the creek while our dog did some swimming. Plenty of ammenities such as tables and benches for cooking or just sitting by the fire. Extra firewood and a bathroom on site was very nice as well. The hill down to the site can feel a little strenuous, particularly for packing up and going up the hill to leave, but carts are provided and the spot is well worth it. We will definitely be camping here again.

Such an excellent experience camping here! Several other reviews use the word "magical," and I would actually wholeheartedly agree! The sound of the creek just steps from the camp was so soothing; I don't think I've had a better night's sleep in I don't know how long. There was a good-sized, flat area for even a larger tent, the porta-potty was impressively clean, and there was a large storage box perfect for keeping your food in overnight. Andy is a superlative host: warm, friendly, and considerate, and we really appreciated him meeting us when we arrived to give us a bit of a tour and some additional information. He's created something really wonderful here, and if you're looking for privacy in a campsite, you can't do much better than this outside of dispersed camping. As others have noted, Andy conveniently provides a couple of wagons to get your gear to the site, which is a great help as it's a bit of a steep path to get down from the parking area. I don't say any of this to dissuade anyone from staying here; you would be doing yourself a disservice by skipping this site. Just be aware that, if you pack light you shouldn't have too much of a problem, but if you're like us and bring a fair amount of stuff (probably too much in our case), you will be getting a workout. Still, it was absolutely worth it, and we will 100% keep this place in mind for future camping trips. Thank you again Andy!

Great getaway!

My daughter, dog, and I loved tent camping near the creek. We were looking for a quick getaway from the city and this did not disappoint. The host, Andy, went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. He helped us bring our stuff down to the site and introduced us to his horses. We will be back!!

Absolutely loved this spot! Best camping experience ever! Totally private, and BEAUTIFUL setting. This was a dream come true for my son who was tired of the crowded state park experience, and wanted a “real” camp out in the woods. We hope to come back very soon.

This campsite was a peaceful reprieve that is very clean and well maintained. The creek provided a cool and calming environment and perfect to sleep next to. There was a clean public toilet and an area to safely store your food at night as well. I would recommend to any person looking for a relaxing camp spot.

Andrew's site was one of the best Hipcamps I've been to. He took such great care in creating a private oasis. The very short walk from the parking area to the site helped us feel fully disconnected. The kids had so much fun splashing around in the stream and sitting by the fire. Having the tables and benches was great for setting everything up. Huge shout out to the cleanest portopotty I've ever seen.

Andrew is a fantastic host! We had such a great time and the visit from his horses was the highlight of our trip! The access to firewood and pay for what you use is a great model. It was very relaxing and a loving campground.

Absolutely LOVE this camp. I saw a King Fisher, beautiful deer and our dog loved cooling off in the creek. Andrew was a wonderful host!
