The yurt stay was such a fun and unique experience for our family! The yurt itself was clean enough. It had plenty of room for 3 of us to be comfortable and a nice picnic table out front. Another plus for us (especially my 15-year-old) is that while at camp, you were off the grid. But you could make a short hike up the hill to reconnect to the world. The bed was comfortable, the lights in the evening were nice, and having the water hose right there was super convenient. A couple of things were a bit of a surprise so I wanted to mention them in my review. #1 This is not a secluded yurt in the middle of a forest/field. At any given time, you can see 3-6 surrounding houses, depending which way you look. They are not right next door exactly but we could hear their roosters, their dogs, etc. Surprise #2 was the outhouse. It was just gross! There were excessive amounts of feces dripping down the 'toilet insert', which is all I could see every time I lifted the lid. I guess this bothered me so much because if a room for rent had a bathroom, it would be expected to be cleaned. Why is this any different? Why would you not AT LEAST hose down the plastic insert/seat of the outhouse between guests? It would be very simple to spray with disinfectant or even a natural cleaning solution and rinse it off. It looked as if this had never been done since it was installed. Dirt, I can deal with. Human waste, I cannot.
