This is Navajo owned B&B. It is located within the Navajo Reservation. Here the view is unique and the experience is memorable to witness. The Scenery changes at every season, with sunrises, sunsets, with laden stars. Hike up the sandy landscape trail to amazing photographic Teardrop Arch. (It is not bike friendly.)Our cabin is equipped with 1 queen size bed, and 2 twin beds. A table, with chairs. Our cabin does not have its own facilities. Such as showers and toilet. Our guests bathroom is located inside, next door in our house. We have an out door picnic table, and fire pit. You must provide your own firewood. (Do not use google maps/GPS in the area. It will take you else where. Use our map in our photos section.) Not a bike friendly area. Road damage from the rain storm.

Great view!

We loved the view from the B&B... evening as well as morning! Thanks to handwritten signs it is easy to find. The room offers 3 beds, a fan and a heater... sadly no air condition as it really was VERY hot in the room. Therefore we stayed out late and then went to bed with the windows open. One of it with mosquito protection... unfortunately, one without.... A third window was blocked for whatever reason. There is no further equipment such as cups etc. The bathroom is super clean and provided everything you need. We also could use a fridge for ourselves. In the morning a self- service breakfast was provided: we could make eggs ourselves, coffee was ready, toast, milk, juice was provided. Yes, it is true what was said in earlier reviews: the host is not very communicative. But when asked questions she was very helpful. There are several cats and dogs around. Should you have allergies, this should be considered. The host also offers beautiful handmade jewellery to buy.

For us it was a great experience. The location and quietness are wonderful. The owner is very polite and breakfast is included (it is simple but enough). However it is not for everybody, the restroom is shared and that could be not suitable for everybody

The view is speachless: so beautiful. The dogs are so cute and adorable! My daughter was so happy playing with them. There are no bathroom or toilets in the room but you can easily have access outside in the owner' house. Instructions are clear. The breakfast is perfect. The wifi is not working.

Charming and authentic stay

We really loved our stay here. The cabin was cozy with enough blankets and heating options to keep warm if needed. The surroundings are quiet so we enjoyed a good night's sleep. Communication with Ilene was very uncomplicated and fast. We felt warmly welcomed by her upon arriving and enjoyed the provided breakfast as well as the amenity of access to a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. On a side note: Don't miss the sunrise - the cabin's patio was the perfect place for us to sit in the morning and enjoy it!

Ilene was a wonderful host. The property was over looking the valley which was amazing! Her cabin was clean, and spacious. She has jewelry and items that she makes for sale. Breakfast is provided. We will definitely stay again.

Comfortable Stay, Peaceful Location

The cabin was clean and cozy, with a space heater that kept us comfortably warm. It's in a quiet, scenic location with a beautiful sunrise. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great. Check-in was smooth with clear instructions, and the host was friendly and responsive via text. Breakfast was simple, with bread and cereal provided. We didn’t cook, but guests are allowed to use the kitchen. The guest bathroom was clean, well-stocked with towels, and we never had to wait to use it—only one other guest was staying there during our visit. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the property felt safe. There were a few friendly outdoor dogs and a cat around. One standout detail: the main house is heated with a wood or charcoal stove, which made it feel extra warm and gave the space a cozy, inviting scent.

OMG - the view!!!

Location, location, location! Stunning view with incredible sunset. Tear drop arch is on their property, meaning you can hike it from the backyard. There are multiple dogs around, which can be a challenge if you bring one yourself. Place is exactly as described, a little more spacious than anticipated and with hot coffee in the morning. You will have access to the bathroom in their house and there is also an outhouse close to the cabin.

A lovely find, wonderful host

We very much enjoyed our stay at Ilene's cabin. Ilene is a very gracious host. The cabin is cozy, the bed comfortable, and the view is amazing. There is an outhouse, but Ilene welcomes you to use her guest bathroom whenever you need to. She also offered up her microwave and stove in case we wanted to prep any food. She serves breakfast in her kitchen in the morning. Goulding's is just 5 mins up the road and serves good food and has a gas station and grocery store. The View Hotel is maybe 10 mins away and also has a restaurant but only serves non-hotel guests until 7 pm. Waking up in the morning to views of Monument Valley is priceless. Book this now. It is a quiet retreat away from the busy hotels in the area.

Cozy Retreat With a View

My teen daughter, her best friend, and I had a sleepover for the ages at Teardrop Arch B&B! The room was clean, cozy and just as pictured. My trusty headlamp came in handy, as it gets a bit dim when the space heater is on. I thought I’d feel uncomfortable tiptoeing into a stranger’s house for a midnight bathroom run, but Ilene’s warm hospitality and thoughtful, informative signs for guests made us feel right at home. We even capped off our trip by watching Ilene in her jewelry studio and buying matching friendship bracelets. If you’re looking for stunning views and a host who makes you feel like family, this is the place!

Heavenly location!

We loved our stay! It left like a cozy home away from home. Ilene was so kind to give us the option to stay in one of the guest rooms in her house if we got too cold, but we were VERY comfortable in the cabin. There’s a little space heater that we used to warm up the space and then turned it off overnight or we would have been too hot. It was perfect. Everything was clean and the bathroom was conveniently located in the house with a warm shower and toilet. (There’s also an outhouse if you’re fine with that.) She has it stocked with things you might need and leaves instructions everywhere so you don’t feel awkward about what you’re supposed to do or not do. The area is quiet and centrally located enough that we were able to explore plenty of areas in Utah, Arizona, and go to Four Corners and be back before dark no problem. She provides breakfast essentials in her kitchen from 7:30-9:30am and lets you use the kitchen any time you want to make other food if you’d like. There also is a little diner at the inn down the street that has a lovely view and delightful food (don’t heed any negative reviews, they’re ridiculous). Ilene is so friendly and welcoming, but she also let us be to go about our business. She has beautiful beaded jewelry that she makes herself available for purchase too. Make sure to check them out and buy some for yourself and for gifts! The friendly dogs and cat that greeted us when we pulled up and every morning were icing on the cake! More than worth it!

Comfortable stay

Had a really nice, quiet stay at Ilene's cabin. It's really easy to find (lots of signs) as long as you follow the instructions. Enjoyed seeing the stars fill the sky and meeting her friendly dog.

Hate crowds ? Love amazing views?

Million dollar view without the crowds and over prices cost. You will step back in time and get to know a welcoming host with a history making back story. You’ll rough it a little if you stay in the tiny house , but it’s worth it !!!! Bed is comfortable and very clean. If you’re not comfortable with using the toilet in the main house , there is a rustic , good old fashion out house. Well worth the extra steps to “take care of business “. Front porch chairs are comfortable and the best seats in the house to avoid crowds, soak up amazing sun rise, sunset, and night sky views over Monument Valley, peacefulness and soothing sounds. Rare gem, don’t miss out.
