Conveniently located just a couple of minutes off Highway 89, it’s the perfect stopover between Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Special features, including private fishing ponds, a large pavilion equipped with tables and chairs, fire pits, kayaks, and Wi-Fi, make your stay easy and enjoyable. All RV sites are equipped with 30- and 50-amp service. You will also have access to the large pavilion for gathering, cooking, or shelter from the elements. Catch-and-release fishing is also permitted if you bring your own fishing equipment. Keeping a fish, including one that is accidentally killed, requires an additional fee. This Outpost and campground is located on 300 acres of private property surrounded by park and public land. It has been here for over 30 years in some form or another. We are Caleb & Amber who enjoyed managing this little oasis in the middle of the desert from March to June of 2017 when we decided to purchase the business & make it our own. This is a dry, rugged campground with a bathhouse that provides coin operated showers and flush toilets. In addition there is little old rustic camp store placed in the middle of nowhere where we provide fuel, snacks, firewood, ice, showers, cold drinks & more. If you are looking for a more private site with lots of space and shade, book our Small Group at the Rocks. For a warmer stay during the cooler months book one of our Glamping Tents listed. We have the larger, and spacious tent in the grove of the Juniper Trees (which is also amazing in the warmer season) and rent a heater from us inside the general/camp store. Please check with us on fire restrictions, hipcamp is often wrong on their assumptions, we rarely have fire restrictions. BE SURE TO GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME TO CHECK IN NO LATER THAN 5PM. My husband Shaun and I fell into rescuing horses quite by accident. We started a non-profit to promote the Rescue, Rehab, Retrain and Rehome method to get horses out of bad situations and into good homes. We are a small rescue and hope to be much bigger one day! Please come visit, enjoy our beautiful property and support an amazing non-profit cause while you are at it! Learn more about this land: We are a non-profit horse rescue situated on one acre. The best description I can give of our property is that it's great for a convenient and quaint "Stop and Sleep".  This is because we are located right off of the old main highway and have two neighbors within eyesight from the house. This site is very convenient for quick stays since it is so CLOSE TO THE HIGHWAY this makes it convenient but may not be appropriate for very light sleepers or for extended stays.  The camping area is simple, with wild grass and a fire pit, bordered by the river on one side and the horse pasture on the other.  You can see and hear the river easily April-July. The river is seasonal and does dry up in mid July-August. Drinkable hose water is available near the house.  If you want a ranch-style camping experience with lots of interaction with your hosts and opportunity for adventure then you have chosen the right camping location! You are welcome to join in the daily choring activities or choose to be taken on a scenic trail ride or thrilling guided gallop on beautiful and well-trained rescue horses. PLEASE NOTE: The bathroom is located in our house and has a flushable toilet and shower with hot water. Bathroom hours are 8am-9pm but limited due to our presence at home and work schedules depending on the day you stay.  Parking is located about 50 feet from the campsite, just off of the road.  You must walk a few seconds to get to the campsite and you cannot pull your vehicle right up to it. While we do welcome car campers and pop-up trailers, just know you won't be parked at the campsite if you choose to sleep this way.  We look forward to having you camp with us!

Red Desert RV Park has expanded to 55 full hookup RV sites along with 14 cabins. We are geared towards outdoor adventurists and sightseers wanting a cost-effective stay while taking advantage of everything Moab has to offer! We are locally owned by a family of 8 and love calling Moab our home. We understand the corporate overtaking that Moab has had in the last 5 years and plan to keep our campground affordably priced and locally owned. We have upgraded the old site plan from 7 RV sites to 55 Full Service RV sites this year. Most sites are pull through but we will have some back-ins. Our new bathhouse has a laundry, women's bathrooms and showers, men's bathrooms and showers, and an ADA compliant family style bathroom. In addition to the new bathhouse, we have a new office and retail store where we sell souvenirs, RV supplies, snacks, drinks, ice, firewood, and other necessities for guests. We do not currently have propane fill on site. We know that there are many options to choose from when it comes to staying in Moab. We urge people to support locally owned businesses that help Moab grow and solve problems that exist in our community. Moab is a recreation mecca with something for everyone and our little campground on the south end of the valley puts you within minutes of town, the mountains, and the red deserts around Moab.

The scenery is beautiful, the bathrooms were very clean and well stocked (plus on the hot water). The fishing is decent, definitely was able to have the experience I was looking for with my kids. Very relaxing feel not crowded or unwelcome at all, definitely will recommend and will be looking forward to our next trip back.

Site 14 was great for me and my friend to camp. It fit our car and our tent with an area in the middle to hang out by the fire. It had a great view of the reservoir. There are a few trees in our site so it helped when it rained. Also camp host was nice and checked on us.

The Campsite was perfect, we had site 4 and it was massive, with a trail that leads right down to the water. Norm stopped by a few times to check on us, he was very friendly, and very accommodating. They had everything you could possibly need. Water station, dumpster, public restrooms, boat launch, WiFi, and even a place to rent kayaks, paddle boards, get some ice, or grab a sweet treat. Honestly between Norm, the Campground itself, and the amazing lake this place sits on, we will definitely be back. We had such a great time, we hardly touched our phones, and the only time we did was to take photos, and brag to our family, and friends about how amazing it was here. Thank you again for everything, and we are already looking forward to our next trip here.

1 night at Wildland Gardens

What an amazing place! Beautiful sweeping valley with mountains in the distance. The cabin had ac and power outlets so I could charge my phone and run my neck therapy pillow before bed. Plenty of places to meander and soak in the peacefulness. Oh! And the goats! I made friends with the goats, the cow, the turkey and the roaming chicken. Ellie the farm dog even followed me around asking for belly rubs. She was super sweet. The silo community area with the showers and kitchenette were clean and well stocked- even snacks and essentials to buy! The supplies shed sold bundles of firewood and had some equipment for a great afternoon exploring. I visited in August and the garden and sunflowers were so alive and green. The field the goats were in was lush and vast! Man did they want pets and scratches. Gladly given. So many local recommendations to visit, I’ll have to come back and stay a few days. This is a true retreat to get back to the land and animals, and just reset from the world. The tents looked spacious and decked out too! 10/10 would recommend for group retreat or a solo reset like I did.

We had a great experience- Lynn is very hospitable and welcoming. Our tent was beautiful, huge, very clean and had thoughtful touches like coffee tables,, extra towels and blankets, fan, AC and more. Also, the bed was very comfy. The view was gorgeous!
