Learn more about this land: Watch the sun and moon rise over the pond from the grassy knoll in the edge of the woods or under the trees. Enjoy paddling around the pond, fishing and watching the ducks and geese during the day and relaxing around the fire pit at night. We offer 2 campsites on the pond on our private property. They are both slightly sloped.  Site 1 is on the grassy knoll overlooking the pond. It is sunny early in the day and gets shady as the day progresses. It is closer to the outhouse. Site 2 is under the trees and right beside the pond. It gets spotty sun throughout the day. We live through the woods past the campsites. An outhouse with composting toilet, potable water, picnic table, grill, fire pit, fire wood and trash can are provided. Please note that we do not offer a 30 amp camper hookup, only a 15 amp electrical cord running from our house that will run lights, but not a/c or heat.

Site 1 - The Grassy Knoll
Officially our favorite hipcamp! We have discussed going out of our way to stay here again in the future! Conveniently located, but feels incredibly private! The hosts are phenomenal! They're kind and hospitable without imposing on your stay. Their dogs Piper and Pearl are an absolute treat when they come down to the pond to visit. The sites themselves are perfectly situated so that even though there are 2, you still would feel private if the other was reserved. Site 1 has more shade in the afternoon and is nearer the outhouse, which we appreciated. The table and chairs at site 2 are newer and super nice. It's location right on the water's edge is a real treat! Don't be afraid of the composting toilet - it's the nicest bathroom experience we've had at a hipcamp! Super clean! In addition to dogs, you can expect to enjoy some gorgeous, peaceful wildlife experiences. I took out the complimentary kayak and paddled around with ducks and fish while the Osprey circled overhead. If you fish, bring your pole! You WILL catch your dinner!!! There are town options located within 10 min for ice, beer, food, etc. Congaree National Park is only about a 20 min drive from the pond.

We loved this site! It was a beautiful, quiet location. The hosts were very friendly (and the dogs too)! We would definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

Site 2 - Under the Trees
Really pleasant campsite, very well kept with nice amenities. The bathroom was very clean and odor free. Big fire pit, comfortable chairs, big picnic table. Loved the site and it is super close to the national park which is a big bonus.

Site 1 - The Grassy Knoll
Private and Well Kept Site
The instructions were extremely clear on where to go. The hosts (and one of their dogs, who kept me company as I set up my tent) were extremely kind and friendly. Upon arrival to the actual site, which is just a stones throw away from the host's house, was a table, 4 chairs and a very nice firepit. Firewood was graciously and generously offered as well. Stars were extremely clear and beautiful - great backdrop for my trip to Congaree National Park. Only thing that I would say is that there were a lot of weird nature noises, but I don't fault the hosts for this - South Carolina as a whole has a vibrant nightlife (in terms of the wildlife and Columbia, SC, which was also only a reasonable drive away). Amazing hosts, amazing experience.

Great spot
We had a wonderful stay under the trees! The hosts were friendly and helpful and the pond is such a nice place to start the morning. It was nice to have a clean out house. Oh, and Pearl! What a homie
