Heavily forested mountain property is way off the grid in the Elkhorn Mountains and it neighbors National Forest. You can enjoy hiking, biking, climbing, hammocking, watching wild animals, star gazing at night, etc. But sorry, no sounds of the city. There is a short hike (4 to 5 minutes) to each camp site from the Common Parking area. Feel free to use the supplied cart to carry your gear. Campers have also enjoyed kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, hiking, and the mountain biking trails at Phillips Lake, which is a little over eight miles from TT. For trails, visit Trailforks.com and search Phillips Lake. Trails range from Easy to Black Diamond. This area used to have train tracks nearby, thus the road name Old Trestle Lane. Legend has it that "there's gold in them there hills". Visit nearby gold mining town, Sumpter (about 45 minute drive), while you're here. There is an authentic gold dredge you can walk through or you can schedule a steam powered train ride. http://www.sumptervalleyrailroad.org/index.html If you don't mind the hour drive, explore the history of Baker City and check out the Oregon Trail Museum just outside of town.

Amazing spot to camp! Big sites, gorgeous views, and a great group camp setup. I'd recommend staying here to anyone passing through the area!

TT2
It is tucked back into the forest quite a bit which we loved that off the beaten path feeling. The TT2 site was clean and in its own little valley which made it feel secluded from the others. Recommend to bring the bare minimum for the hike back. If you were to bring a lot of stuff the trail would be very challenging.

Great property well off the beaten path. Matt is very accommodating and welcoming. Pack light for hauling gear on the trail!

TT3
Very private and quiet with beautiful views. The campsite was large with plenty of space and a nice fire pit. Matt was responsive and helpful with our questions before and during the trip. We received detailed instructions on how to get there and it was even a pretty drive.

Didn't plant our tent
The trail is not passenger vehicle friendly, the signs say that, the host assures you can drive around the bumps. Luckily we took a truck and our friends weren't there yet. Got our first handful of stuff out and started on the trail and turned around The description for TT2 said "easy hike." Narrow goat-like trail headed uphill is not easy. Especially for 6 people worth of stuff. It could have been ok if you were lightweight backpacking. I also asked how the mosquitos were and that was understated as well. It was 75% air 25% mosquitos.
