What a little gem just outside PDX! Gorgeous and lovingly developed beautiful and scenic spot. Next to a creek, with a lower and upper area and an old train truss! Abundant wildlife and a grove of mature blueberry bushes, as well as several fruit trees. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Would recommend!

This place is special! Valerie was so kind and helpful while leaving us lots of privacy for our camping weekend. Ideal for groups looking to have a quick getaway from Portland or elsewhere, the amenities at Bear Hollow are hard to beat - a beautiful composting toilet, a tent area with lots of shade and nice grass, even a few blueberries still for the picking in September.

Humans and pups all had a wonderful time at Valerie’s place. From the warm welcome by Valerie and a gorgeous blue heron to the peaceful sunset over the horizon, it was fabulous. We appreciated the thoughtful design of the property and the cleanliness of “Pooh Corner’s” composting toilet. It’s a private little oasis that’s close to home and we will definitely be back.

This was our second time camping at this site and it was better than the first time. Peaceful surround, fresh blueberries for picking, and excellent host. Couldn’t ask for anything else. So much room to roam and play, family friendly, perfect site for star gazing. We loved it!

This was a great private space to get away for a couple of days and was so easy to get to from Portland. The space was beautiful and well maintained with everything we needed. My girls especially enjoyed being able to pick blueberries at the U-pick blueberry field to take home with us.

First, a shout out to the host,Valerie and her Husband. They are very kind and welcoming people.
This was my first time solo camping . As a single female camper, I couldn't have felt more safe. The property is secure and gated.
I mainly chose this location as it was close to a work event, that I needed to attend. I wanted to save time on traveling back and forth and get one last camping trip in before summer ended.
To My delight , the tent camping area is Magnificently landscaped .Perfectly shaded and next to a creek, I needed to get out of the hot sun . I could, really feel the difference in the temperature drop under the shade trees. Compared to the open field above. There is a big open fire pit and firewood available for purchase with fire starter shavings from left over bark The composting toilet is very cute . Lovingly called Pooh corner,
The terrain was very easy to walk about. Even for someone with a bad back,hip and knee like me.
I love having access to pick blueberries and peaches if I wanted too.
The sky was very low light pollution a great place to go watch the upcoming meator shower or just general stargazing amongst the blueberries, in a big open field and wide sky for viewing .
I will definitely be back to enjoy the peace and serenity and all it's beauty of the Bear Hollow Heritage Blueberry Farm .

2nd time to this place! The orchard is quaint but the shady grotto is fantastic on a hot day, and all the fresh organic non-treated blueberries you can eat! The only thing that would make this better is a shower... Thoughtful, responsive hosts who are interested in your comfort!

Amazing Camping!

One of our new favorite campsites for sure! This is a beautiful blueberry farm with tons of space to set up and host big groups for camping. Great amenities and really lovely hosts. Our family had an absolute blast and we will be back with friends!!!

Valeria’s property is beautiful and so peaceful. This is one of the best Hipcamps we have stayed at. The pups loved exploring the property and stream. Valeria was so kind and helpful during our stay as well. I would definitely stay here again.

This place never disappoints...

My 2nd trip to this property, and no disappointment! The property is even more lush and green during June than it was last August when I stayed there. It's fantastic either way, but having the creek be more full, grass more green, nights a little cooler -- I highly recommend visiting this time of year :)
Valerie was a courteous host as always and truly lets you feel like you've got the whole place to yourself. I can't say enough nice things. Thank you Val!

Gem of a spot!

I absolutely loved camping here! What a beautiful and unique setting!! I could hear road traffic but wasn’t bothered by it. The campsite was sprawling and private and Valerie thought of everything for a comfy visit with covered picnic tables, nice fire pit, stocked outhouse, string lights and electrical outlet.

We have been joining Valerie at Park Like Setting for 4 years now for our inaugural camping trip each year. A great way to get started!! And, they have the best smelling Pooh Corner I’ve ever visited!! We will be back in fall to close out the season.

We had such an incredible camping stay! Valerie our host was so friendly and lovely to talk to. Their land is very well cared for and you can tell how much work went into making this site perfect for camping. It was very private, large enough to fit our whole family, dog and kid friendly, and beautiful surroundings. Sleeping by the sound of the creek was so peaceful at night. We kept talking about how we can’t wait to come back again someday! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

I loved the property! It is landscaped beautifully and gives you a sense of privacy. Which is an amazing accomplishment, so close to some of the best wineries in Oregon. I will definitely be coming back to this hidden gem.

This place is perfect for a quick getaway. You can tell the site was made with care and love. We went in the fall and admired the changing colors but I could easily see how all spring and summer would be would be beautiful thanks to the botanical garden setting.

Absolutely loved our time at Valerie’s amazing property!! Well kept, loads of room to frolic and play. My two year old and doggie had a ball! Lots of room to explore and spread out. No issues with critters or animals. Was able to purchase firewood from host and had a fire going most of the stay!!! It’s like staying in your own private park. It’s camping but with a lot less stress. Valerie was responsive to questions and was a great host. Our family loved our time there and will definitely be going back.

What a super beautiful piece of property to camp amongst! Lots of different types of trees, a nice little babbling creek, 2 picnic tables with tablecloths, nice wooded paths and built out stairs leading up/down from a very lovely composting vault style outhouse! It literally rained 3 of our 4 days here, and it was so nice to have a dry bathroom the whole time!
Having lights strung up in two spots made it so nice in the evening! We got a fire in the first night, and they had nice log stools. Our friends were using cpap machines and they were nice enough to lend an extension cord when their battery wasn’t ultimately strong enough to keep it running through the night! Having a power source was amazing! We used the hose to rinse and wash dishes and there was a fountain up by their house to fill drinking water when we ran out! There was so much space for tents, canopies and popups, we brought a giant tent and built out a living room for the rainy times! There was a lot of tree coverage so that was helpful, and even though there was packed dirt by the creek that we had set our kitchen area up in, it got a little muddy considering it poured for 3 days! The soft fluffy grass gave a nice reprieve from that! They gave us some pears on the way out since we had missed blueberry season,and enjoyed walking the property and seeing the train trellis! What a cool view! We will be back to camp with a bigger group and aim for a dryer time of the year! So hit or miss in the beautiful PNW! Fun!

Excellent spacious Sherwood stay

This was our second stay at “Park-like setting” and was even better than the first since there were still some blueberries to pick! The hosts are kind and gracious, the property is immaculate and is always being improved upon, the outhouse is adorable and there is water and power available. This would be an excellent place for a group gathering. The sound of traffic on nearby Pacific Hwy becomes white noise after a while and quiets down at night. Stars are lovely. We will surely return!

A close oasis located within an hour of Portland! Park like setting is exactly what it is. A great large space with open field and grass and woods with a creek and a majestic wooden railroad trestle bordering the property. Plenty of fruit with pear trees, blueberries and blackberries.
Frogs and owls were appreciatively vocal at night. Great site for a larger group of campers with room for lots of tents or several trailers. But private with only being a single reservation, you have it all to yourself!
