This area is known as Bigfoot Acres for obvious reasons. The Western Sasquatch has been spotted many times in the woods around this site. There are plenty of adventures to be had while out searching for the elusive Bigfoot. This property is located within walking distance of Mount Hood National Forest and within a fifteen minute drive of several lakes, rivers and even an Off Road vehicle area. All of our sites are "pull through" type sites and give you plenty of room to spread out. Each site has a fire pit to keep you warm while gazing at the amazing night sky. Even if you don't leave the property you will find plenty of things to do. Visit our pond (currently still under construction) to view wildlife, find a new trail, stargaze or just enjoy the peace and quiet. During the winter you can explore miles of backcountry roads on snowshoes or skies as we tend to be very near the snow line most of the winter. We look forward to providing you with the best camping experience possible!

Bigfoot Acres Site #2
Great place. Not a lot of tree cover at site #2 so the stargazing was incredible (well, it would have been except we had a full moon). Fire ban was in effect but there is a nice fire ring that would have been nice if we'd been able to use it. Directions were fine; the dirt/gravel up to the site was a little rough but my Prius made it fine. Host was nice -- left us alone, but was very friendly when we ran into each other.

Me and my fiance stayed at this camping spot for the weekend at campsite 3 and it was perfect, had a outhouse and a fresh water hole. The place was inviting and gorgeous. Sleeping under the stars and having the nice cool breeze made it nice and cozy in the tent. I highly highly recommend this campground!!

Bigfoot would be lucky to stay here
Bigfoot Acres Site #1 was very clean, flat, and open. The perfect spot for my overnight in my trailer in an opening under the stars, surrounded by tall trees. Directions were clear and easy to follow. Portapotty was extremely clean. It is clear they have put effort into this camp spot. I will definitely stay again, hopefully with more time to explore the property and appreciate the natural beauty of the area.

Private, Secluded, and Peaceful.
This was such a great experience! The site itself is tucked back into the furthest part of the property, up a long dirt road that slopes upward. While you're the furthest away from the firewood and the water/toilet, you also have the most privacy and seclusion. Beware that if you're looking for "clean" glamping, this site is dirt, and your gear -will- get dusty...but then again, who camps and expects to stay clean? ;) There's an endless list of things to do all around the area. I highly recommend paying $5 for a day pass to visit Milo McIver Park, where you can hike, swim, dip your feet in the Clackamas River, play disc golf, or have a picnic. Also, make sure to go to the PGE Hydroelectric Plant's hiking trail system on Faraday Road. After a 5 mile hike down a flat and paved portion of the Old Clackamas Highway, you pass the dam and end up at the North Fork boat launch, where you can take a quick dive off of the docks or cool down at the water's edge. I could not have asked for a better trip. The hosts were always in communication when needed and even offered up extra firewood for no charge when it was unexpectedly cold for a few nights.

Great for camping with dogs.
This was a great camp for our first trip with our Teardrop trailer. Hosts are amazing. Great space to have dogs that love to play fetch, nice green space that is easy on the paws. If you like to play disc golf you are nice and close to Timber Park and McIver. This place is on my list to places to go back to.

Not really private, host are.great
The Hipcamp.host Steve and Stephanie were great. It is a beautiful place to look and walk around. I was enjoying myself at campsite 3 until a couple came in the next day to site 1. They let their dogs run wild and loose upsetting my little dog and kept throwing the dogs ball onto my campsite. I did let Stephanie know but the couple still continued to let the dogs run around. The couple also woke me and my dog up with their dogs running around at 4:30 am. Also pooped in my campsite. I couldn't fall back to sleep as my dog wasn't having it. She is a nervous Nelly and I had to ask the couple in site 1 to please not throw the dogs ball into my area because it makes my dog more nervous. Also when I went to use the Porta potty the couples dogs came.at me snarling,, growling showing teeth until the owner came over and retrieved them.. I would hate to see something bad happen to any dog.. if you are a lone wolf like me, I would suggest campsite 2 as it is more private in my opinion. Also will try dispersed camping next time with no people. I do love dogs just not the owners sometimes. Please to all who own dogs keep them on a leash for safety reasons. I don't normally complain but this was not something I wanted to experience while camping.

Had an wonderful stay! It was such a great site and location. Steve was awesome about communicating. Site #2 was private and perfect to let the dogs be off leash. Water is available and the bathroom was soo clean. We will be back :) Also - we enjoyed exploring the cute little town of Estacada. The host sent me some recommendations - we tried the fro-yo place (yo treats) and it was very good.

Peaseful, Beautiful, Fun
We stayed in a 42' 5th wheel toy hauler and made it into site one with only one issue... The entrance is just a hair too small for such a big rig, but they have another entrance that is usable. I used 4WD so I wouldn't mess up their nice gravel road. We were able to fit TWO big 40+ footers in site one. Beautiful property with lots to do in the area. We kayaked on Estacada Lake, which was a blast as well as took our quads up to the La-Dee flats from the campsite. There is also a logging road behind the house that goes for miles which we used to work out and walk dogs. A fire pit is provided as well as great drinking water to fill your camper with.

Cool location in proximity to Mt Hood National Forest and Clackamas River. You are far from the residence and fell very private in location. And awesome that the property is a “pull through” as you depart through a neighbors property. There are neighbors with kids and dogs you can hear so you are not fully remote from “city noises” but otherwise you are isolated and have your own piece of dirt for your stay.

Lovely gem on a mountain
Steve is the best host and we were so grateful to have found this gem! My husband and I needed to park our blue bird bus conversion safely for an extended period of time since my husband had to fly to work main stage at Lollapalooza. Since I don't drive the bus (yet), I stayed back and also took our jeep to visit family in Portland. This is an excellent spot tucked away in the woods with star-gazing always on a clear night. The hosts are generous, kind and cool! Ask about their 420 garden and sampling! Steve is seriously the most accommodating and friendly host we feel lucky to have met!

We absolutely loved our stay at this site. It was private enough for our four dogs to run around off leash with out seeing anyone else. It was very quiet and serene.
