This is a great neighborhood spot to park with full amenities just outside of Portland, while having immediate access to 40 wooded acres with walking path and .7 mi to the Springwater Trail for biking/running. 25 mins to downtown Portland; Easy day trips that are ~30 minutes drive to Waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge (Bridal Veil, Multnomah Falls) or under an hour to Mt. Hood for time in the snow!
Fenced in backyard for any of your 4-legged friends to stretch. Gas fire pit, gas grill and patio table + lounge chairs are all open for sharing. Our previous homeowner had a trailer and set up this nice pad with built in hookups. We have grandparents with a 27' RV that come visit a few weekends a year, but we would love to share this corner of the woods with others looking for an accessible home base to access Portland/Mt. Hood/Gorge +.
Note: Our driveway entry is steep, but navigable. We limit the trailer/RV length to 27' in order to avoid bottoming out. Novice trailer drivers may want to avoid.
For quick bearings if you are booking while on the road, we are located just off 26 (Powell), 5 miles from I-205 or 11 miles from I-5 via the Ross Island Bridge. If you are traveling along I-84, we are 4 miles south from the exit.

We would love to share our beautiful wooded 8 acres. We live here but your site is far enough from our house for privacy. The RV pad is surrounded by trees. Our RV space will easily park a 38ft. RV. It has full hookups with either 30 amp or 50-amp power. You are only 2 miles from shopping and only miles from Lackamas Lake and Battleground Lake for hiking, swimming, biking, boating and fishing. Down the road about 1/4 mile is Velvet Acres barn where you can buy fresh produce in July, August and September, then in October it's a Pumpkin Patch.
Be sure while you’re here you visit Vancouvers waterfront downtown. Great shops and excellent places to eat. On weekends there’s a large farmers market that has all kinds of fresh produce.
While here be sure to drive out to the gorge, it is one of the more breathtaking sites in the NW. We are 10 miles from the Columbia River and 36 miles from Multnomah Falls. On a nice day you can drive to the beach to cool off, it's about 90 miles to Longbeach.
Being in the wetlands we have a lot of trees for privacy. The RV area is at the end of an area that is gated for security. There is a grassy area outside your door and a grassy area out back of your RV. We have trails you are welcome to use. You will see bunnies and all kinds of birds as well as deer that visit now and then. Although they have built homes on the west side the fence and trees give plenty of privacy. They recently started a home that should be done within a month. Contact me for updates.
This is a perfect place if visiting the area or it’s a great place for snowbirds or workers that are in this area for weeks or months. Text me ahead for openings.

You may see us doing some yardwork or taking the dogs out but we do our best to give you as much privacy as we can. We do live in an active neighborhood so a little noise is normal but minimal. We have three dogs and a cat who use the yard, so if you’re bringing a pet, make sure they’re friendly with other animals and leashed if needed. Mt. Tabor Dog Park is nearby for zoomies! Please help us keep the garden intact by making sure the is no digging or running through the plants.
Guest Policy & Smoking:
Only registered Airbnb guests may use the Airstream, yard, or hot tub. Smoking is allowed on the deck and please use the ashtray.

The kitchen is small but has a stovetop, sink, and mini-fridge and is best for light meals. The bathroom has an RV toilet and handheld propane shower—please make sure you’re comfortable with these features.

It is built with salvaged materials from nearby painted lady Victorian home that are the pillars at the entrance and the siding is from a nearby barn. The sliding door as you enter is a salvaged US Federal Building Door that glides on barn rails and it has the original mail slot in the door. The retreat is an indoor/outdoor experience as there are two walls that feature beveled shutters that open and the roof is a see through experience to watch the birds, wildlife and stars. The queen bed is super comfortable and there is a small desk filled with maps of nearby places to play. My home for the last 34 years; I have put care, love and abundance in creating a magical garden with surprises throughout. Our home and farm is on two acres. Your tent site, is all in our ample acreage.
Although pets are welcome, we expect them to be well-behaved around our two cats, our own big sweetie of a pup, Frejya, our two crazy goats Cupcake and Muffin, and our free-ranging chickens. Expect to hear some animal noises here on the farm.
Our property literally borders the scenic highway. Because we are so close, you can hear the sunset-view-seeking drivers, motorcycle riders, and yes, racers who come out this way for a spin on one of the most scenic highways in the world. Traffic quiets down after dark and mornings are quite 'chill'.

First thing everyone should know is that we are under the landing approach to PDX. Some planes are quiet, and some are not. My wife, our farm pals, and I are used to it but, we want you to be aware.
So, our property: coming in at roughly under 30 acres, Cold Springs Farm, established in 1885 and sits nestled in its own little valley.
The farm's name is inspired by spring feeds a small pond at the Northeast Corner (near the Alder Site) that has crawdads, Mallards and Blue Heron. Of course, there are also curious Raccoons and Possums about.
A canyon running the north of the property in known for its wildlife population including bear, deer and elk. Wherever you camp, you may hear someone moving through the forest at night.
Although we are a short 30-minutes to Portland, our private farm is free from unwanted lights and traffic (save the intermittent air traffic), when the skies are clear, starwatchers who bring their telescopes have many vantage points from which they can indulge their hobby!
Our wide-open field is great for kite flying, frisbee, doggie frolics, and it's also a great place to practice your drone piloting skills.
Mid-July through early October you have access to pick as many blackberries as you want and they are delicious.
Cold Springs Farm is also a sanctuary. Our current residents include our Kunekune Pigs: Chris P Bacon, Wilbur, Piggit, Hamish McBiscuit and Rowdy.
The resident goats include Dolly, Freddy McNubbins, Princess Daisy, Mikey, Mildred, Marvin, Daphne, Booger, Cyra-Nose, and Delilah our big, gentle goat.
Rounding out the bunch are our farm dogs, Oscar Braveheart, Hoppin' Howie and Lulu-bear our rescue Pyrenees and resident sweetheart.
We look forward to welcoming to our Columbia River Gorge farm and introducing you to what our beautiful area has to offer. We are just minutes from many of the gorge waterfall hikes including the historic Multnomah falls and Vista House sitting on Crown Point.
One of Oregon's favorite summer concert venues, McMenamins Edgefield, is a short 10 miles. And we have economy spots specifically for Mcmenamin Concert goers. Contact us for details.

Note: Our driveway entry is steep, but navigable. We limit the trailer/RV length to 27' in order to avoid bottoming out. Novice trailer drivers may want to avoid.
For quick bearings if you are booking while on the road, we are located just off 26 (Powell), 5 miles from I-205 or 11 miles from I-5 via the Ross Island Bridge. If you are traveling along I-84, we are 4 miles south from the exit.

We would love to share our beautiful wooded 8 acres. We live here but your site is far enough from our house for privacy. The RV pad is surrounded by trees. Our RV space will easily park a 38ft. RV. It has full hookups with either 30 amp or 50-amp power. You are only 2 miles from shopping and only miles from Lackamas Lake and Battleground Lake for hiking, swimming, biking, boating and fishing. Down the road about 1/4 mile is Velvet Acres barn where you can buy fresh produce in July, August and September, then in October it's a Pumpkin Patch.
Be sure while you’re here you visit Vancouvers waterfront downtown. Great shops and excellent places to eat. On weekends there’s a large farmers market that has all kinds of fresh produce.
While here be sure to drive out to the gorge, it is one of the more breathtaking sites in the NW. We are 10 miles from the Columbia River and 36 miles from Multnomah Falls. On a nice day you can drive to the beach to cool off, it's about 90 miles to Longbeach.
Being in the wetlands we have a lot of trees for privacy. The RV area is at the end of an area that is gated for security. There is a grassy area outside your door and a grassy area out back of your RV. We have trails you are welcome to use. You will see bunnies and all kinds of birds as well as deer that visit now and then. Although they have built homes on the west side the fence and trees give plenty of privacy. They recently started a home that should be done within a month. Contact me for updates.
This is a perfect place if visiting the area or it’s a great place for snowbirds or workers that are in this area for weeks or months. Text me ahead for openings.

Shared Spaces & Pets:
You may see us doing some yardwork or taking the dogs out but we do our best to give you as much privacy as we can. We do live in an active neighborhood so a little noise is normal but minimal. We have three dogs and a cat who use the yard, so if you’re bringing a pet, make sure they’re friendly with other animals and leashed if needed. Mt. Tabor Dog Park is nearby for zoomies! Please help us keep the garden intact by making sure the is no digging or running through the plants.
Guest Policy & Smoking:
Only registered Airbnb guests may use the Airstream, yard, or hot tub. Smoking is allowed on the deck and please use the ashtray.
Bathroom & Kitchen:
The kitchen is small but has a stovetop, sink, and mini-fridge and is best for light meals. The bathroom has an RV toilet and handheld propane shower—please make sure you’re comfortable with these features.

We appreciated all the effort that has gone into getting guests oriented to the space (although a few things were a bit out of date - no need to turn the propane heaters on outside to get hot water now!) It’s a cute, quite compact airstream that felt a bit like staying in a vintage themed spaceship :)

Check-in and out was a breeze. Communication with the host was very quick. This was a great getaway as we were so close to downtown Bevearton but the barn was secluded enough that my party and I felt like we were off the beaten path and could disconnect from the world. We’d totally stay at the Old Barn again!

This hipcamp is everything — it’s beyond cute, it’s in a good location, it has all the major amenities, and has the warmest host. We felt so safe here and so creative. The size was perfect for two people and one tiny dog, and it’s obvious that a great deal of care has been integrated into every detail of this airstream.

About
This state park is located along the Deschutes River approximately 4 miles NW of Bend. You'd better bring your fly fishing gear. That's what the Deschutes is known for.
Your trophy trout or tonight's dinner awaits you. BYOB (bring your own boat) and float down the river. Some parts of the Deschutes live up to its name. Experienced rafters can tame the rapids. Or, hire a guide to take you.
Hiking trails wind along the river and into the canyons. Much of the trails are easy. They do get steep at the eastern edge of the park. Keep an eye out for wildlife drinking from the river.
Deer, bobcats, rabbits, and coyotes roam here. Birdwatchers love this place. Watch for herons, swallows (unladen of course), flycatchers, warblers, and wrens.
Your campground serves as a headquarters for many more adventures beyond the park. Head to Mount Bachelor or one of the gorgeous golf courses in the area. Tumalo harbors 23 full hook-up sites, 54 tent sites, and seven yurts for convenience.
When to go
The idyllic charm of Government Island State Recreation Area can be enjoyed year-round, but the best times to visit are during the warmer months from May to September. During these months, the weather is conducive for boating and camping. Winter brings higher water levels and can limit access to certain areas, so always check current conditions before planning your trip.
