Site #2 is drive around the house and  pick from a small range of spots - the firepit is portable and moves with you - shelter under the old tiny apple orchard or set up where you'll have view of the sunset!  We'll move the picnic able to your selection.  *Covid-19 info.  Camp sites are spaced anyway.  Shared bathroom has extra wipes and spray.  Welcome to Elijah Park! Our tiny farm (2 acres on this site!) grows roses, rehabs horses, and raises chickens and miniature call ducks.   A lovely, friendly peacock strolls the grounds and is relatively happy to be fed bits of chips or raisins. Treats for him can be provided upon request.   Hammock(s) under the tiny but old orchard provide relaxation, fire pits bade you to linger watching the sun set.  August provides you with a stunning view of the Perseid meteor showers, weather and sky clarity providing.  Corn hole game can be set out upon request. Great space for yard games.  Front yard has tree swings. In-season activities may include cider making, cooking with produce from garden, harvesting a pumpkin, smelling the roses (we have about 50 young bushes). Skills or crafts on request  may include  a candle-making experience or scavenger hunt or a child-friendly pine-cone bird feeding hanger.  Soft goat cheese making sometimes is an option when fresh milk is available ( obtained off-farm), you start it and come back to finish about 12 hours later for a soft cheese.  Let's face it, making French rustic bread ought to be on the list, too, beacsue it is GREAT to toast over a fire with salted local butter.  A great getaway from the city, yet close- by, you have a  slight sense of isolation even though the house is nearby the sites.  (We are not a commercial camp ground!)  This is a working farm with animals and tractor sounds at randoms times. Bathroom is bucket with seat and eco friendly gel with hand sanitizer in a tent.  Serviced upon request and daily.  We clean the yard before company but sometimes still you might need to watch your step. 3 night stay maximum No pets allowed, sorry - we like  animal people best BUT due to our own farm dogs, small fowl and cats and coyotes, it is safer to leave your pet at home.  We can provide you with a dog or cat to snuggle if you miss yours.  The border collies especially adore kids.  The cats just hope for anything they can get.  Optional activities (you must request them in advance to ensure I have supplies on hand! Not everything available all seasons.)  Donations support physiotherapy and care of equine rehab projects. Donation based projects: Marbled paper art making (youth-friendly/focused) Monster-gone magic spray (kids)Pour-paint art (weather-dependent!) Pinecone bird feeder making  Squirt gun painting (under trial still! LOL )  Cheese making (usually start one day, finish the next, can be a bit slow/boring for kids) Face mask or sugar scrub making (take it home and use it with a good shower handy!)  Flower based Wax Melts - harvest rose petals and fragrant plant material from our garden to use! Also Hard Cider making is in the 'options' along with firewood. Nearby places to visit:  Pull Caffe, wood fire roasted coffee!  Mouton and Lucia falls (hiking or wheelchair friendly views) Battle Ground Lake Rusty Grape Vineyard and cafe Scented Acres Lavender - seasonally open but  2 miles from here. Longer loops:  Historical Columbia River Gorge Falls Loop HWY to Hood River - try the fruit loop rout, stop at apple, pear, lavender and flower farms, Solstice Cafe, the food cart at White House (the cider flight and wines are worth time, too!)  and Apple Valley BBQ for some amazing NW flavors.  Bonneville dam can be a fun place to stop and see the fish in the park as well. For sure end your loop tour at Timberline Lodge, one of the most amazing historical lodges in America.  Sit and enjoy a hot cocoa or indulge in their fine dining - everyone is welcome equally to enjoy the historical building.   Finish your loop via freeway back to our area.  Ape Caves - on a hot day, they feel SO good and are beautiful!  Great if you are traveling back to Seattle.  Or try Portland's famous food cart scene - 4th and College street is our favorite but all are worth the time.  Elk Rock Garden Washington Park's Holocaust memorial - beautiful.

This is for site 1, a back in or drive in site suitable for tent or cartop tent campers  or rigs up to 35', maybe a smidgen more, nearest to the big cinder block pit.  Best for limited mobility campers. *Covid-19 info.  Camp sites are spaced anyway.  Shared bathroom has extra wipes and spray.  Welcome to Elijah Park! Hard cider making - you get a grower and bubbler to take home to continue making your own.   It's a quick process if you don't need shelf-stable hard cider.  About 30 minutes to set it up and depending on  weather or home temperature, a dark place of 55-80 degrees at your home is required to finish the 2 week fermentation - play with flavors or make a classic apple.  21 and over activity but kids can learn some history and about where root beer came from!   Hard juices and root beers have a great history from when we had no refrigerators!  Nearby places to visit:  Pull Caffe, wood fire roasted coffee!  Mouton and Lucia falls (hiking or wheelchair friendly views) Battle Ground Lake Rusty Grape Vineyard and cafe Scented Acres Lavender - seasonally open but  2 miles from here. Summer bliss on the farm #1
Had the pleasure of experiencing my best Hipcamp stay to date! Serene nature, charming animals, and, most importantly, very hospitable hosts are the highlights of this place. It's evident how much love they have for their land, the animals, and for the Pacific Northwest as a whole. I really appreciated them sharing their knowledge of the beautiful regions of Washington and Oregon. Following their advice, I had an amazing road trip!

I loved tent camping here! I’ve never stayed on a farm with some many different animals before. It was such a great experience! I liked being close to their house it felt like camping in someone’s backyard which makes me feel much safer at night! They had an aerial silk that I gave a try and I liked how their property was away from the main road so you don’t hear any cars. GK was suppperr accommodating, understanding, responded fast and gave recommendations on what to do. I wish I could’ve stayed longer to have some tea and coffee before heading to Mt. Rainer. I can’t wait to come back!

GK is a great host who made her farm available to our family. We felt safe with the Covid precautions made. Anyone interested in engaging with animals while also camping will find this spot rewarding, especially those with kids as we did with a 3 year old. If staying longer than a day, be sure to venture out elsewhere, such as the state parks in the area, which are all great.

My friend and I had an amazing time here! The hosts were very welcoming and the animals were very friendly. We made cider with them and it added so much fun to our trip! :) I know that I’ll be returning to this place sometime in the future. And I also know you’ll enjoy as well!

I could not say enough about this property and host. She truly went above and beyond! Everything was set up for us and the kids LOVED it. She let us pick our fill of raspberries and even gave our kids pony rides and let them collect eggs. We highly recommend staying at Elijah Park and Farm

Just book it! Such a lovely property with really welcoming and kind people. My friends and I came on July 4th, so the night was a little louder than usual, but it was still a great getaway from the city. We loved hanging out with the cats, chickens, peacock, and horses. GK even gave me a horseback ride in the morning! We had our own fire pit, and requested the firewood. It was there upon arrival. We were able to car camp, under two beautiful apple trees. There's a picnic table off to the side, but had to bring our own lawn chairs to sit around the fire. Really loved this place, and will be back!

We loved staying here! GK and her family were so inviting, it felt like staying at a farm owned by close relatives of a friend. The peacock was impressive and the horses are lovely. We will definitely be back.

We had a great stay at the farm! GK and her family are incredibly welcoming hosts. Our kids loved meeting the animals and experiencing farm life. They also loved the rope swings! Conveniently close to the city but feels like a world away.

I went on a solo trip for 2 nights at the farm and had a lovely time. There were horses, cats, dogs, chickens, and even a peacock. They have a moderate-size backyard that I had to myself. GK was very welcoming but also let me do my own thing. It was a belated birthday trip for me, and they made me a cake and one of their neighbors gave me a gift! Super sweet.

We had a really wonderful stay here! For some reason the map didn’t put in the address number, just the street, so we were taken to a different place but GK was a really incredible host and stayed up to make sure we made our way there! It’s a really beautiful property and we definitely would have liked to stay longer!

This Hipcamp was super cute little farm, safe and comfortable. We were just passing through, and it made our journey all the more enjoyable to stay somewhere that was more intimate and friendly. The host was very friendly and accommodating.

Everything before arrival to after arrival was amazing!! Loved the farm feel, my daughter got to make apple cider, ride a horse, pick apples and play. She had amazing time as well. Weather was perfect. Treated like family. Loved all the animals roaming around. Will definitely be returning in the future.

I can’t speak highly enough of Elijah Park & Farm! GK and her family were the perfect hosts who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and truly welcome. The farm is idyllic, with peacocks, chickens, ducks, cats and dogs all roaming freely together and a paddock with beautiful horses. We were greeted with fresh roses on our picnic table and bales of dry firewood and the restroom facilities were super clean and thoughtfully maintained. I enjoyed my night here so much I brought my daughter back a few days later for our annual camping trip and we had the best time, we were both sad to leave. Thank you GK and family for a truly memorable and relaxing holiday - we’ll be back!

Absolutely Amazing!

We had an amazing stay! GK and her family are wonderful hosts - we felt so welcome. My son - age 6 - was able to run, play, gather chicken eggs, swing, slide, pick apples, and vegetables to his heart's content. The farm felt peaceful and calm - a great place to get away from it all. We were able to fall asleep to the sound of crickets under the stars. We slept so well! I would highly recommend a stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at GK's farm. While conveniently located, it feels like a world away. GK and her family were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. They even had special touches for my kiddo like bubbles and glow sticks. The horses, ducks, peacocks, chicken, cats, dogs and swings in the front made for hours of entertainment for my daughter (she was in complete heaven) and they let her have free run of the yard which was very generous. We had a delicious breakfast of farm fresh eggs and snacked on raspberries from the garden. Gk has created a magical space and would definitely recommend staying there!

Pastures o’ plenty

What a wonderful experience we had at Elijah Park & Farms! The drive through Brush Prairie set the stage with Mt. Hood looming to the south. This was pretty country that I didn’t even know existed. Passing roiling hills with grazing horses we made it the farm and we’re welcomed with open arms. GK and her daughters were right there to greet my 9 year old daughter and made her feel right at home, tire swing and all. The farm has almost a 360’ of open prairie taking in both sunrises and a gorgeous sunsets to the west. You’ll share the grounds with peacocks, chickens, ducks, cats and two lovable border collies. Horses are in the adjoining pasture. GK and family were quick to share their love and knowledge of their beautiful farm family. We made camp amongst the apple trees and took advantage of the private fire pit on the properties side yard. Although the family loves the company around the communal fire pit on the back yard as well. GK had plenty of recommendations for our trip and helped guide my daughter and I through a day of exploring the Columbia Gorge, within an hours drive of the farm. From fresh eggs for breakfast and botany lessons to phone chargers and jump starts...they had it all. They gave my daughter the opportunity to connect with their horses on a pretty cool and personal level. Smiles from ear to ear....an experience she will remember for some time. Walking barefoot down the long dirt driveway chasing ladybugs it was hard to imaging we were still less than an hours drive from The Columbia Gorge, Portland and Vancouver. Just a wonderful stay with a wonderful family.

Staying here was awesome! Our 5 year old wanted to go camping but we wanted to start off with something close and easy, so this was a perfect fit. They greeted us and showed us around and were super nice and welcoming. The kids had a great time checking out all the animals, we had a nice fire going to toast marshmallows and make s’mores, and we slept in the car no problem. We’ll probably come back when the animals have their babies!

GK was an incredibly accommodating and welcoming host. She accepted our last minute booking and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The site was green and shaded, and included a table and chairs, lantern and a big fire pit. Situated on a working farm with peacocks, chickens, ducks, horses, cats and dogs, we enjoyed being around all the animals. We look forward to staying with GK again on our next trip and would highly recommend to others. Pro tip: Keep your eyes peeled for the tiny fairy garden next to the site! Very cool! :)

GK, who was an awesome host, immediately made us feel welcome and showed us all around her property. She let us know that depending on the camper’s preference of stay, she’s happy to let people be or engage them with the various activities going on at her farm. Sweet hammocks under giant apple trees, hawk watching, baby chicks running wild, fresh spring water delivered to site! A sweet welcome sign let us know we were at the right place, and we enjoyed our time at Summer Bliss! While the sites are on their property, it doesn’t feel like you’re in their space; they’ve created a campsite that feels dedicated to the camper.
