Eagle Mountain Farm and Retreat is located in a picturesque, healthy forest outside Cottage Grove, Oregon. We offer two tent sites, a 20' yurt, and an intimate bedroom bungalow, available year-round for Hipcamp guests. Our mountain property sits at the end of a private residential road, close to I-5 and downtown Cottage Grove. Alongside the hosts’ house, there are a few other residents on the property. The area is rich with recreation opportunities, including biking, hiking, canoeing, boating, mushroom hunting, swimming, hunting and fishing, gold panning, rockhounding, and wildlife viewing. Eugene and the University of Oregon campus (including Hayward Field) are just 30 minutes away. It’s about an hour to the Oregon Coast, 15 minutes to Cottage Grove Lake, and 30 minutes to Dorena Reservoir. Umpqua National Forest is also nearby, with stunning waterfalls such as Spirit, Moon, and Pinard Falls only 45 minutes to an hour away. The Cottage Grove area is known for its covered bridges, mining history, and the scenic Row River Trail bike path. Film buffs may recognize local spots from Buster Keaton’s The General, Stand By Me, and Animal House. You’ll also find nearby farms, breweries, and vineyards offering tours and tastings. We are cannabis-friendly and ask that guests use responsibly. Please refrain from wearing heavy perfumes, colognes or oils (Amber and Patchouli) No burning of incense in yurt. Well-behaved, friendly pets are welcome, but they must be attended at all times, as our neighbors keep goats and chickens. Two pets also live on the property: one dog (Choco) and one cat (Cosmo).Our 20' Yurt is perfect for your glamping experience. Ideal for a couple or a small family of 3 looking for a fun outdoor experience. The Yurt at Eagle Mountain has a coffee maker, mugs, propane heater, air conditioner, drinking water dispenser, drinking cups, and camp cooler. Bathing, kitchen and sauna towels provided as well as pillows and bedding. There are 2 dressers, a couch and a kitchen table with 6 chairs. Come and enjoy the peace and quite of Cottage Grove! Sip on a nice cup of coffee and listen to the sounds of nature right at the yurt. The yurt is located directly across from the Bedroom Bungalow.

WE have 2 beautiful outdoor showers with excellent water pressure in The Cedars Bath House area. THis area is shared with other guests as well as some of the property residents.

Shared outdoor community kitchen available on site in centralized location. Limited cooking ware, dishes and utensils available. Coolers available in kitchen for guest use on site. Ice can be purchased for $3 / bag. This outdoor kitchen is shared with other HipCamp guests.

Directions were extremely easy to follow and even had signs to show exactly where to go which was super helpful! Yurt was perfect, clean and comfy, stocked with anything you might need from towels and dishes to an extra tooth brush if you forgot yours! Arthur was super kind and helpful, absolutely would recommend staying here:)

Eagle Mountain Yurt
Lovely property and the directions were excellent and special touches everywhere like towels for the sauna yesss a gorgeous sauna available and connecting outdoor showers, also gorgeous and actually a total spa experience even better as it’s in natures beautiful surroundings. Notes everywhere to acclimate you and coffee & pot in my yurt. Also delicious well water available and cozy warm propane heater as I stayed in March quite chilly yet cozy in the Yurt for me and my 2 dogs, another plus dogs welcome! The Yurt had everything we needed dishes for the outdoor kitchen utensils cozy couch books big comfy bed outback/pit toilet just an absolutely homey Yurt! Arthur the host was so attentive and helpful and always available if needed, thank you Arthur for being an awesome host and for a wonderful stay of my first HipCamp adventure.

Relaxing and Private
Bedroom Bungalow in the Woods
The shed converted into a stay was perfection. Bed was comfortable, heater worked to heat the entire area, and Arthur's hospitality was out of this world. The outdoor shower was incredible, the sauna experience luxury, and overall the relaxing getaway we needed when looking for an apartment to rent in the area. Communication was easy, Arthur would respond within minutes. Access to a community kitchen, ease of finding the location, and the privacy granted is not common for shares like this but was easily available here. We will 1000% be back for the tent camping side or just to revisit this specific stay again. My only recommendations would be new camping chairs out front and a closer spot to store food near the sleeping area.

I did hammock camping and it was awesome. The camp spots they have are super sweet, with a nice parking unloading spot right next to their outdoor kitchen. There’s a wheelbarrow to help unload your things(it’s not far, but comes in handy if you’ve got more than a handful) and lots of signs to help direct you to everything. The sauna was pretty much amazing.. almost as amazing as the people there! I would recommend to anyone and look forward to returning!! . Still kinda putting it all together but he has created something wonderful. It was a peaceful retreat in nature.
