Gateway to the Umpqua National Forest.  We are 10 minutes off I-5 and 15 minutes from the first waterfall in the forest.  You will find tons of hiking, waterfalls, fishing, rafting... even the Wildlife Safari (drive-through zoo) and tons of other recreation.   Love the warmth and sound of a crackling fire? Pour a drink, or brew a pot of coffee and relax next to your own private bonfire pit and benches.  While you’re walking your dog (or yourself) you’ll find tons of fresh fruit and berries growing all over. Help yourself!  We have a group campground, RV sites, and dry campsites. We also have a fully furnished tent cabin equipped with a full sized bed, over-sized chair, mini fridge and microwave. It is available for an additional charge, just look for our Tent Cabin listing.  Since we ARE located along the N Umpqua Hwy, you will hear road noise.  Logging trucks do run up and down our small highway, because we are just outside of the Umpqua National Forest.   **NO CHECK IN AFTER 8PM**  Late arrivals are extremely disturbing to the guests that are already checked in and relaxing, or already in bed.  And this has been our top complaint, so PLEASE contact me right away if you are not going to arrive before 8pm!  We can arrange for your late arrival, as the gate will be closed at 8:00.

Family Playground DRY RV Camping
Safe place to stay
We stayed here on our way from Oregon to California. But I can see how this would be a great place to stay a few days if you wanted to explore the river along the 138 and have a place to land. Felt safer staying here vs any of the sites along the 5. There is highway noise but it's tolerable (note we were in a camper van). Plenty of space to park on level ground. Porta potty was clean. And the host was very accommodating and communicative.

Site 1 - RV with Electric and Water
We enjoyed staying on Kristen and her family’s property for the night. Having water and electric is always a bonus. While you are on the same parcel as their house, they’ve done a great job utilizing the space and ensuring you have your own area to enjoy. Kristen was also very helpful and very quick to reach out— great communication!

quite nice
Overall great but for a couple things. Highway noise,,, cars are doing 65 as well as trucks. I didn't expect that. the site had lots of weeds that were quite large and unsightly,,, could have been nicer. Hosts was very nice and accommodating.

Just right
This was a great place to set up camp for a couple of days. We Were in the area for a family reunion and also wanted a place to set up camp. Since it's late in the season we had the whole place to ourselves. The goats in the field next door are adorable. The hosts were terrific.

It was a great site close to town if you needed anything. Shower and bathroom were great. It's not quiet but not distracting and didn't bother me. I felt very safe as a solo female in a tent. They checked in on me but did not intrude. Definitely recommend.

Private Event Area Tent & RV
Beautiful spot with great hosts!
We had a group of 7 families who needed to find a camping spot after our usual Labor Day site was closed due to forest fire. We were SO happy to find Kristen’s land. Kristen and Tad were wonderful hosts! They gave us tips about activities in the area, and were very gracious. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to any large group!

Amazing spot!
This shaded spot was great. The hosts were very accommodating, helpful, and very responsive to questions. Wifi worked wonderfully. Our family enjoyed the Adirondack chairs, hammock swings, outdoor shower and neighbor goats - all perks we don’t usually find. The space is just off of a somewhat busy road - but the traffic noise isn’t very noticeable. Really impressive place - we had a great time!!

Tho our full day of travel turned into a later day than we hoped, Kristen and hubby were very kind, understanding and welcoming. Loved the overall setting, wide open and spacious enough for all groups to enjoy and especially in the morning, the enclosed outdoor shower with hot water!

Shady, Green Oasis with Great Hosts
First, the property is really sweet…green grass, huge trees scattered around, lots of shade, and a killer outdoor shower w/sink. We were super comfy there in our 40’ Motorcoach w/an 18” trailer. It’s a big rig, and Tad was VERY thoughtful about helping us find the best place for all of it! Both Tad and Kristen we super hosts, and made our stay super easy and stress free. Yes, the property is right off a 4 lane highway. The traffic is really light, and quiet after 8 pm. We took day trips to the coast and to Crater Lake Natl. Park during the day (which we HIGHLY recommended!) and enjoyed our quiet evenings at the bus. On the property there were plenty of chairs to lounge around in, picnic tables, hammocks, fire pits and much more.

Excellent Campsite
The tent camping setup on Kristen's land is amazing. Campsites had well maintained picnic tables and fire rings. The shared areas were well maintained and easy to get to (porta-poty, flush toilet, water and wash basin, and an excellent outdoor shower). If we are back in the Roseburg area, we will be using this site again, no question.

This is the best Hip Camp we’ve ever stayed at! The host have prepared a beautiful, welcoming, functional space. Private areas, open space with lighting, hot shower outdoor, and indoor toilet. Highly recommended! There is a little road noise, but not too much.

First HipCamp Experience
We had A wonderful experience camping at Creekside. Everything was clean and set up to accommodate all variety of camping. Kristin was quick to respond and more then kind, as was her Husband. They went above and beyond in making this more then just a campsite, but an experience as well. We will definitely consider them again when we are in the area, and we have already recommended them to a few of our local friends. Seriously, it was awesome!

Family Playground DRY RV Camping
Had a lovely and peaceful stay! The hosts were friendly and helpful! Loved the roomy space we had for our camper van and tent. We also had our own fire pit, there was running potable water, a flushable toilet, and I LOVED the outdoor private shower! There was also a trampoline and play house for our five year old to keep him entertained too! All in all a great place to stay! We would definitely stay again!

Tent camping with kids
We tent camped on Kristen’s land with our two young kids (6 and 3). We found the site is well suited for kids with two restrooms (one that flushes) outdoor shower, outdoor sink, lots of grass land to run and play implements. Check in was easy and quick. Site was HUGE! Lots of space and good distance between sites. Yes the highway is close and noisy. We are use to sleeping with white noise and didn’t find it disruptive. And it’s like 10 minutes from whatever you want in Roseburg. Less then 30 minutes from wildlife safari. The one hiccup was we passed the property on our first try. The sign could be more visible from the highway.

A Camping Gem near Roseburg
My daughter was tent camping at Kristen’s Creekside Playground Campground. The grounds were very pretty and the amenities such as a outdoor shower, hand washing station, a flush toilet and portable-potty were a plus. The ease of going into town 10 minutes away very helpful. The Host was incredibly kind and thoughtful to see to her needs when the rains were coming etc. The location to the Wild and Scenic North Umpqua River was great with miles of waterfalls and hiking trails for day trip fun. Great Cell service also.

Accomdating Hosts
You've got a variety of ways to camp on Kristen's land. You can tent it, popup trailer or full electric RV it. All of the sites circle around a shaded lawn with space between sites. Sites have fire rings, chairs and a picnic tables. Lots of shade and place to relax. Kristen was super helpful as our arrival day was delayed due to trailer trouble and then helped us with a ride to the shop to pick up the truck. Located along the 138 you can easily go into the forrest to see lakes, go fish, waterfalls and the river in an hours drive. Also close enough to town you can drive in for supplies or a bite to eat Worth a stay if you are in the area.
