Camping with friends
We enjoyed our weekend at this camp! It rained every night but it didn't stop our fun. The creek running behind our campsite was an awesome bonus we enjoyed the wildlife it brought to our adventure (we saw 2 barn owls among the creek trees). We will be back next year there is no doubt it! 😀

Great Weekend
Hope was super responsive and the site was nice and clean and quiet. It was close to Hocking Hills and Lake Hope as posted. Again from other reviews you could hear cars but got quiet around 9pm. Google was a little fussy with directions but Waze was helpful in addition. Had a nice weekend and would absolutely recommend.

Camping with friends!
Came with three tents and 6 campers. We all enjoyed our stay! There’s plenty of room to set up camp and lots of privacy.

I loved car camping on Hopes land! There is a major road next to the camp which can get loud sometimes at night but it wasn't too bad. You can pick whatever designated spots that are made up that you want. The sunset was awesome to watch as it sunk below the trees! Good place and close to Hocking Hills.

While I was only there for a night, I got to enjoy the whole average to myself! Hope gave very good instructions, and had an amazing place for easy camping! Sites are certainly large enough, with large fire pits to sit by. Highly recommend!

Close to everything Hocking Hills.
We had a great night's stay at the Hippie Hideaway. Like others have said, local traffic is noticeable until nightfall, when it slowed considerably. The location is close to many things travelers will want to do in the area. I hope others will utilize the grounds as home base in order to enjoy this beautiful part of Ohio.
Hope was communicative and helpful. All around a great Hipcamp experience.

A lovely, peaceful place to stay
My husband and I got this campsite for the weekend. We were looking for some place private and quiet. This definitely fit the bill. It's not as secluded as I normally like (you can see and hear a country road not too far from our site) but the way the sites were sorta tucked into the strip of woods, definitely gave the feeling of privacy, especially at night. I think this is helped by the fact that the campsites themselves are rather large and spaced far apart. Very pretty views in the morning.
The instructions for getting to the site and into the site were very clear, and we had no trouble finding the place. We didn't see the host at any time but that's fine with us-- we're experienced, self sufficient campers. And, she was always available via the private message function on the app so I never felt neglected by my host.
The terrain at the site and in the surrounding community is pretty easy for most vehicles to traverse but, fair warning, the campsite gets muddy when wet!

Beautiful Campground
I cannot say enough about hope, her communication and hospitality. The property is very well-maintained and all campsites are next to the stream lined by trees. I stayed in the campsite under the Shelter which is lined with gravel and keeps the bottom of the tent cleaner. You can also enjoy time under the large sturdy shelter if it is raining. I fit an 11 person tent, kitchen set up and the small table provided under the shelter. It is located just off of SR50 but it isn’t too busy and much quieter in the evening. If you position your tent or camper towards the stream, it is a beautiful wooded view.

Will definitely stay again!
Had a great time camping on Hope's property. We brought in our travel trailer and used primitive site #1 instead of the gravel pad with electric because it was closer to the woods. Layout of the property leaves you plenty of room between sites so privacy was not an issue at all. During our trip we went to Littlefish Brewing in Athens and ventured over to the Moonville Tunnel! Very cool place to visit and just a short walk from the parking area.

Nice and roomy place to stay
Hope's Hippie Hideaway is a very nice place to stay. We had a great time while we were there. Proximity to Lake Hope (for kayaking) and Hocking Hills worked great for us. We went about our activities for the day and then returned to have a nice campfire each night. You do hear a fair amount of traffic from the main road that passes by (50). By about 9:00 or so the traffic became very light so the road noise wasn't too bad while sitting around at the fire. There was one other site being occupied while we were there and they were pretty quiet and polite. There is alot of room on the property for us to navigate our truck and camper to the location we desired. But If it rains alot before you arrive, the best option would be a gravel pad that is set up for heavier vehicles. I am very comfortable at towing our 20ft TT, but I would be very leary at trying to get anything over 30ft in thru the gate. We would definitely stay again.
