The campsite itself was clean, and a heater and air conditioner were provided, which we appreciated.
Unfortunately, many of the campground activities, including the mini golf and bounce houses, closed at 5:00 p.m. Since it rained for most of our stay, we were unable to enjoy many of the amenities before they closed.
We also had concerns about the restroom facilities. The bathrooms had a strong mildew odor and lacked adequate ventilation. For families with asthma or mold allergies, such as mine, this created an uncomfortable environment.
Another concern was safety during the evening hours. We noticed individuals using the restrooms at night whom we did not recognize as campers. In addition, groups of adults gathered around the restroom area drinking late into the night. As a mother, this made me uncomfortable allowing my children or myself to use the facilities after dark.
The situation became concerning enough that we ultimately decided to leave. After waiting approximately two hours for the crowd around the restroom area to disperse, we packed up and drove the three hours back home rather than stay another night.
