The tent is easily accessible and is fully stocked with kitchen supplies, lanterns, and necessities. Between what I brought and what was already there, I was living quite luxuriously in the woods. The wood stove works beautifully. I stayed very warm in the tent (it was 80 degrees in there!) while the outside temps reached a low of -15 degrees. Beautiful location and excellent host. It's got distinct 'areas' which made it cozy- a wood stove area to sit by, a table with chairs to eat or play games at, a fully equipped kitchen area to cook at, and a sleeping area with two beds (full and twin) and some cots. Everything we needed was there, from cooking gear to utensils to cut and stacked firewood. The stove kept the interior really warm even when the tempts hit the low 30's outside. Outdoors had a nice fire pit, some chairs, a hammock, and total privacy. The outhouse was crazy clean, and even had a little LED light for those night visits. As others mentioned, you could faintly hear the highway but it quickly fades into the background and you don't think about it. Cory was an awesome, attentive, and responsive host. Finally, we were at trailheads in the High Peaks in 35 minutes. All in all, we couldn't have asked for anything more- we loved it and we'll be back! This property is the fulfillment of a life-long dream. I first was introduced to this area thirty plus years ago when I visited a nearby hunting camp. Great tent in the Adirondacks

Great hot tent on the foothills of the Adirondacks. Stepping out, there’s miles of wildness and old trails surrounding the site. Beautiful vibes. But please bring your supplies, as the only store around is a Sunoco about a 15 minute walk. Would recommend!

Awesome August weekend

Awesome campsite with all the amenities you need for a getaway in the Adirondacks. The futon and top bunk were very comfortable. Lots of wood and all the other essentials. I would absolutely come back

We enjoyed our stay in the tent at the camp in the pines. He had wood for us and stayed warm even though the Arctic front moved in. There was plenty of room for our gear. He even has a wash area and camp stove to use with pots and pans. We enjoyed the secluded land. I would like to camp here again. Cory was very responsive with any questions that we had.

Cozy hub for Adirondack Adventures

Cory's canvas tent set up in the Adirondacks was the perfect place for a weekend of adventure for my pup and I. The tent is well stocked, cozy, and stays plenty warm even in the winter with a full sized wood stove inside. My last night there was quite a bit of rain and not a drop came inside. The tent is situated in the forest off a private road which gives you a sense of privacy and the true feeling of being in the woods while also being convienently but not disturbingly close to the highway and a small town for amenities. Cory was a fantastic host and even gave me a call before I headed to camp in order to answer any questions I may have in addition to answering quickly to texts. The location is less than an hour away from the high peaks hikes and the drive there is stunning. Grateful Cory is able this little piece of nature with us, will certainly be staying here again in the future.

Cory’s place was great! Nice and quiet, and central to hiking, restaurants and breweries. We had everything we needed to cook meals, and he firewood and potable water us. We had plenty of room, and stayed dry after heavy rainfall for 24 hours. It was very peaceful.

The place had clearly not been cleaned in a while. The two kitchen camping stoves were dirty and unusable [one had what seemed to be a mouse nest in it], and the BBQ was very dirty as well. The tent itself was very musty and smelly. Not the best experience.

What a wonderful experience for an impromptu last minute booking. We were so surprised to see just how well equipped this spot was. Everything we needed in terms of camping equipment was supplied. Lanterns, cleaning supplies, ropes, cooking tools, fire wood, etc. Even some granola bars and coffee. We were beyond impressed. As usual with camping I would recommend getting there before nightfall as it gets pretty dark. Make sure you pack plenty of bug spray. Phone service was great for anyone who needs to get in touch with the outside. The spot was located near the highway but we barely heard any noise, especially during the night and the space is very private surrounded by tons of forest. Cory was very quick to respond to messages when we arrived and he popped by on our second morning to make sure everything was okay. The town was very charming with several stores to grab any food or supplies and the Schroon Lake beach was public, clean and free. We would definitely come stay here again!

The perfect true camping spot in the woods! This place was magnificent — you get a true camping experience with a few added bonuses, like the wood furnace that kept our place toasty in the fall. It’s definitely in the woods and a little dirty (what else do you expect from camping) but we loved it!

While Cory was not present during my time at the site, he communicated well and provided good instruction. Quiet, peaceful site with a decorative outhouse! Cory provides all the necessary amenities for a night of camping in the pines.

Great camping experience!

Group trip

We had a wonderful two night stay at Camp in the Pines! Cory was an exceptional host! The camp was supplied with everything we needed. Cory left clear directions to find the camp and to use the lanterns and wood stove. The tent was very spacious and the campsite was great! It was also close to good restaurants but felt like we were still away from it all. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

Adirondack winter camp

Cory’s tent was a large canvas tent in a snowy wood just off 1-87. It had a nice wood stove and plenty of firewood to keep us toasty. We had a heater, fire for s’mores+sweet potatoes+hot dogs, and a stove top for breakfast all in one 😎 There were plenty of supplies/dishes to use if needed but we had most everything. Ample sleeping beds/cots. We mostly stayed around the fire - it was so nice. Plus, it was a cold night and got quite chilly away from the stove. Cory had thorough printed instructions in case needed and even a couple lanterns supplied with propane (as well as a stove if wood stove wasn’t enough). We appreciated the table for eating /cooking and the outhouse was very clean and nice. There is a bit of an icy walk slightly uphill from parking spot, so I would suggest spikes or a lighter load to make it easy (we had neither and were fine - but next time I would! For winter...) Thanks Cory! Great communication and hospitality. Loved our stay :)

Killer Good Stay

Cory was very hospitable making sure we had everything we needed. There was plenty of wood for an outdoor and indoor fire. Perfect spot right off 87, but quiet with access to many great trails. The space was comfortable for two adults and a child but 1-2 more could comfortably fit too. We would stay again.

Awesome camping set up

Super cool ginormous tent nestled in trees. Very comfy futon mattress. I slept like a baby! Cory and his wife stopped by to check on things and brought more potable water and a few other supplies. Generous, caring, kind hosts. It is situated just off route 87. You can hear the highway but it was like white noise at some point. Then in the middle of the night, totally silent. Cory has everything rigged up for comfort. Nice Coleman stove and lamps. Didn't need the wood stove but it was good to know it was there and dry wood ready to burn if necessary. Awesome little outhouse yards away from the tent. Schroon lake 3 miles down the road. Perfect location. All around fun place.
