Green Street Family Farm stay
Our stay on the farm was the highlight of our trip that included the solar eclipse! Jay and his family were beyond welcoming and hospitable. Would recommend anyone to come to see the area and the farm.

very trashy place. there are old toys, pots, and pans and junk scattered all around the cabin.
the entire property is dirt and mud. not scenic. piles of junk all over the property.
it is advertised as animals being a perk of visiting- but i was disturbed by the conditions they were in. There were about 30 rabbits kept in small cages with no room to move. Pigs were kept isolated from each other with no room to roam. they were obviously distressed and in need of company. others were fearful and lethargic. when i asked the host why they weren't given room to roam he just said "well theyre animals"
hosts also lit off mortar fireworks on the ground right next to my car and i thought they were going to hit it.
my reservation was for two nights and i left after the first night. i would not return.

Green Street Family Farm stay
Absolutely one of the most fun & unique places I’ve stayed. Jay and his whole family are super friendly, they welcome campers onto their farm like we are long lost relatives. I loved meeting the pigs, bunnies, chickens and cows. It was snowy when we arrived and Jay had cleared a place for my friends and I to camp in their greenhouse so we wouldn’t get wet outside. All in all, they made my birthday weekend so fun, funny and memorable! If you are open to a communal, family-style working farm with very kind folks, staying at Jay’s will be a one of a kind experience!

We had a great time! My kids loved being on a farm and seeing all the animals and tractors, they even got to help feed them. Jay took us on a hiking tour of a very cool local spot and was more than accommodating. I would 10 out of 10 recommend staying there and we definitely plan to be back.

Jay’s farm is great! There are pigs, cows and chickens and a pool of tadpoles (the tadpoles might be accidental). Jay I’d a super friendly and accommodating host! He happily offers suggestions of hikes and and local attractions, He told us where to find the best cheese in the county at the near by creamery. Jay also brought out a bunch of hiking books for us to enjoy.

Jay was a very attentive host, making sure we had everything we needed to be cozy in our tear drop camper. We were just there for a night but enjoyed the open field. An authentic farm complete with chickens clucking in the morning.
Lou review: I give this toilet five stars, a newly dug outhouse, fresh tp, and jay was kind enough to rid it of bees before our arrival.
Overall the perfect spot for a quick stop on your road trip to far off destinations.

Beautiful pine cabin
We loved staying at the beautiful pine cabin! The hosts were truly accommodating and welcoming - made us feel like distant relatives, more than paying guests. For a roof, access to water and shower and kindness, location near ish to the high peaks where we were hiking, the price is an absolute steal.
There were some aspects, such as the casualness, the working farm aspect, the amount of projects happening at the farm, that might not appeal to all campers. However, for the right crowd, this is perfect.

Good spots for tent camping and plenty of space and friendly folks. Some friends and I camped on July 4th. Was served a delicious cookout style dinner and ended the night with an amazing firework display.

Cool, laid back Adirondack mountain style hip camp on a working farm with pigs, cows, rabbits, and chickens. We stayed 2 nights at the farm in a newly built rustic, primitive cabin. Hosts were super friendly and accommodating to anything we needed. Recommended to the open minded, eclectic traveler.

The Estes family was incredible hospitable. They shared their farm and gave individualized tours of their animals and buildings. We purchased farm fresh meats such as beef, sausage and bacon. We enjoyed making s’mores under the stars. They offered to take us and pick up us from kayaking and recommended a wonderful hike in the Ausable chasm. It was a quiet and clean campground. All family members made an effort to stop by and talk with us, sharing incredible stories. They shared their 4th of July celebration and picnic. We plan on returning.

We didn’t end up staying. The sites were not big enough for our small tent or our bigger one. There was trash littering the ground everywhere. They offered us a site in the middle of their yard but one side had the pigpen and one side had a manure pile. Also the room that they had the pool table in had many guns out that were within reach of children and not locked up.

Fantastic farm stay! Everyone is so helpful and nice. They have firewood for sale, and a small grocery with farm products! Be prepared for flies, it is a farm, so make sure to have bug screens for your tent.

We arrived late at night pulled in and settled in to bed. Very quite and peaceful sleep. In the morning we were greeted by Jay and his mom had a pot of fresh brewed coffee ready to go. Took an amazing tour of his farm and all his livestock. Very informative and we found it impressive the way these folks live off the land. Would highly recommend!

The green street family farm is fairly new but a great place for those who enjoy simple easy camping located nearby the beautiful Ausable Chasm, Wildlife Management Areas and Adirondack hiking trails. The Family hosting the HipCamp were very nice and made sure my stay was nothing less than satisfactory. Some amenities they provided were a canopy to put up to 4 two person tents and store belongings to protect from weather; fire pit (wood provided); tables/chairs; open fire and propane cooking; on-site parking; indoor bathroom (outhouse) coming soon and my favorite.. farm fresh produce and meats for a good price with a self serving farm stand including snacks and drinks during your stay. Most definitely staying there next time I’m in the area.

OMG, Robert and his family are Great. My friends and I had a great time. Everyone was supper nice, helpful, and respectful. They have a lot of animals in the farm which was interesting. Was there for 3 days, which was not enough, there is too much to see and do and the people in the area are very nice and helpful. We got some eggs, bacon, beef jerky and bologna, WOW how delicious it was, took home some beef, cant wait to try it.
