Eagle Pines
Deana's place was very nice for a few day getaway. We were looking for a quiet place to get away from the fireworks w/ my dog and Deanna's place was perfect for that. We took a little trip to Cripple Creek which is very close by as is the Florissant Fossil beds and the Wolf Sanctuary. The sight was quite level which makes life easy w/ a truck camper. The sight was mostly open w/ some trees for shade which was nice. Deanna came by to say hello and to make sure I was settled in ok which was really nice.

Eagle Pines
About 25 min south of Florissant, a lovely little spot to camp for the weekend. Quiet and peaceful. Fun rocks to climb on for the kiddos. A level spot, picnic bench, morning deer and bird feeder added to the homey feeling. Deanna was welcoming and hospitable. Highly recommend.

Eagle Pines
Beautiful landscape and Great host.
Beautiful landscape and property. Great host. We had wide open views in all directions and the total opposite of a crowded campground. It's basic camping, which was perfect for us with our small campervan. We spent all of the time outdoors, except for sleep, which was cool, quiet and restful. By the way, the birding is superb.

Eagle Pines
The roads there were scenic, then almost to definitely primitive. Personally, I grow weary of twisty, windy roads in an AWD van, with locals ( I get it, I do) riding my tail and needing to check my side mirrors almost as much as watching the road, so that’s on me. Deanna greeted me upon arrival, and offered parking options and electricity. At the time I was good on batteries, so skipped the shore power. Also skipped leveling. Might be worth considering, but I was being a lazy one-nighter. The only problem was mosquitoes. They like me. A lot. And they are there. Multiple little vampires in any area of loose clothing at the same time. Had I been aware, I would’ve used repellent. Deanna communicated well (except for mosquitoes), and was friendly and welcoming.

Eagle Pines getaway
Eagle Pines was a beautiful quiet spot. The road leading in is very well maintained and Deanna was very responsive through the Hipcamp app. Great location to explore all the surrounding towns. We would definitely come stay again
