The yurt is huge and the land is beautiful :) It really is a magical place. The trek from the car is a clip, so be prepped, try and pack with that in mind. Also, this is the woods, and you are nestled in the middle of them, so bring plenty of bug repellent and be prepared to “open up” the yurt like you would any cabin, ie sweep out visiting critters before getting settled in and knock around the windows to clear out and winged friends hiding in the exterior rolled up covers for the windows. We loved the trails, the creek and appreciated having the outhouse versus having to find a place in the woods ;) I would highly recommend! My kiddos loved it, we had fires every night, made fires in the stove in the morning to heat up the yurt when it was chilly. It was magical!

Serene Forest Yurt
Loved the yurt. Such a beautiful stay! Great location and tons of privacy. I would even say planning a little day out day to go to the wineries in the area!
I would advise being prepared to take multiple trips up and down a steep hill or bring multiple wagons! Definitely a small hike so prepare with good shoes.
If I could give any feedback I would say a good cleaning is needed (lots of webs). The picnic table needs to replaced it was very weather worn so we didn’t get to use it.

This is such a good spot I am worried to write a good review because I don’t want to compete with anyone to get the spots here. The land is gorgeous, it’s perfectly placed in wine country (if you’re into that kind of thing), the stream was perfect at this time of year, sunning on the granite rocks during the way was soooo lovely.
The one thing I can’t emphasize enough is to make sure you have a robust wagon to get your stuff from parking to the site (unless you just have a backpack worth of stuff); it is 8 min from parking to the first site and all downhill (nice) but very steep back up so be prepared to carry everything back up.
But, I will say that that is the only complaint (if you can call it that) about this site. It’s gorgeous and lovely and the hosts were lovely and we can’t wait to go back.

Had a fantastic weekend in the Yurt! Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of blankets on the beds for chilly autumn nights, and with the wood stove we all stayed warm! The kids loved exploring the forest and visiting the horses. Can’t wait to come back in the spring by when the creeks are running!

Serene Forest Yurt
We loved spending a peaceful weekend in the woods at the Serene Forest Yurt. The yurt had everything we needed for a perfect glamping experience. The beds were comfortable and the yurt itself was well stocked with all of the essentials.
We look forward to our next weekend away at this serene location!

We absolutely loved the location. There are other spots on property but this is tucked in it's own corner of the property. Even had it's own trail head. We went in late summer so no fire pit or creek but the weather was beautiful and the star gazing was epic. We will return in spring to swim and enjoy the fire pit.
Clint even brought us fresh eggs on our way out!
Definitely recommend.
Notes- it is a trek to take all items from parking spot and back. Be prepared and pack strategically. No running water. No power.

The yurt was really comfortable and nice! There was ample space for our family or four to spread out and sleep. Although we experienced hot August weather, the yurt really cooled down at night making it very comfortable. My kids both loved it and said they want to stay in a yurt again.
We got the equine experience and it was really nice to meet and feed the horses.

This is the second time I camp here with friends for a birthday camping trip. The yurt, property, and hosts are awesome!! This is one of my favorite properties on hipcamp and makes me want to buy land and put a yurt on it. The walking path down is short, easy, and even has solar lights to light the way. Great place for a recharge and catch-up with friends!!

Beautiful and Peaceful!! Stars are night were magical. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Every moment of our stay was delightful!! A charming touch of candles and a woodstove provided a cozy ambiance that kept us warm. Enjoyed strolling to the creek early morning and exploring the property.

We absolutely loved our stay. We aren’t really campers and the lovely, detailed yurt made it easy to work with no water or electricity! We loved the plentiful candles and wood burning fireplace to keep us cozy and various trails to keep us busy. Our dog was so happy to explore and be the only pup around in the off season. Thanks, we’ll be back!

The entire family had a great time at this yurt. The temperature got pretty cold when we went so the fireplace in the Yurt was a perfect remedy for that. I wasn’t aware of the downhill walk to the yurt so if you have a lot of things like us a family of 8. We had to take several trips up and down the about 10-15 min walk to the yurt. If they had a service to bring our luggage down with a Mule vehicle or ATV with trailer I would have paid the extra for the lift there and back. Other than that we had plenty of propane to cook our food on this serene adventure.

This was a great experience, especially for 2 middle aged suburban moms who were aching to get away from it all! The yurt is beautiful, clean and so comfortable. We took sleeping bags, but there were clean sheets, pillows and blankets if that's what you prefer. Justin was quickly responsive when we needed a new propane tank for the grill, and we were able to get coffee and a beautiful breakfast going thanks to those grills! He gave us great tips about local wineries and towns. We just stayed close and explored around the property-there's nothing better for the soul than total silence (save for some birds) and soaking in some sunshine. But do be prepared for the walk from the parking area/stable to the yurt-I read the other reviews but still didn't wrap my brain around it. It's hilly, and maybe a 5+ (fairly steep down hill) to 10+ (uphill) minute walk when hauling stuff. Totally managable, but a bit challenging with a wagon and a rolling ice chest and whatever else you might bring. It's worth it though...so worth it. The weather changed overnight and we woke to a gentle rain-so lovely. I hope to go back soon.

The yurt was a lovely private escape for a big group. I was there with a group of 3 and we have plenty of room to grill, play board games, use the outhouse, and enjoy the stars. The only downside was a hike to get to the yurt so pack lightly or be ready to make a bunch of trips to and from your car. We went during a heat wave and was given a great recommendation to a swimming hole that was 15 minutes away. There are a ton of wineries if you are interested in that on the way to the yurt. We appreciated all of the candles, water, and bug spray that was provided. Will definitely recommend this place for all

This campsite was perfect! The yurt was gorgeous and the beds were so comfortable. We had a large group and there was enough space for people to sleep on the ground of the yurt as well as a few others in tents outside. Justin was so helpful and even used his tractor to help us bring our heavy stuff into and out of the campsite. And he gave us a great recommendation for swimming in the consumnes river! Looking forward to when I can camp here again :)

What a wonderful experience! The yurt was large, yet cozy, quiet, and tucked among the trees. This is an off-grid camping type experience so plan accordingly. You will have a short trek to get to the yurt. DIY pit toilet, no showers. There is drinking water and hand wash water provided which was nice. Bring your own wagon if you plan to have any sort of luggage, the wagon that was provided at the time had 4 flat tires. Host was responsive and I wouldn't hesitate to come back again!

Beautiful land and a fun stay at the yurt. Expect a steep walk down to the yurt from the parking area so try not to bring more than you need. 2 newer bbqs, propane fire pit and plenty of propane provided.
The only minor issues were the yurt and immediate surroundings area seemed unkempt. There was used TP on the trail to the outhouse, told the owner however it wasn’t cleaned up 🤷🏻♂️.
I would def stay again to explore this beautiful property.

This place is FANTASTIC!
BUT, before I go into this super positive review, just be aware that the this is not the kind of place for those who are not a up for a lot of physical exertion. The hike down the hill to the campsite is NO joke, especially lugging a bunch of camping stuff. And it was literally exhausting getting everything back UP the hill at the end. But more so for me, because my camping partner twisted his ankle the last night there, so I had to bring at least 4 loads of stuff up by myself!
The hosts are the best ever, I messaged to let them know of his emergency, and was responded to immediately. Clint came down with a tractor and got my partner back up the hill to the car, so that in itself was a Godsend. He was also great teaching my daughter how to feed the horses, she just loved him! We had everything we could ask for and then some.
The geode treasure hunt was so much fun. A long hike for a 4-year-old, she was pretty cranky by the time we got back but it was totally worth the long hike. And a really pretty souvenir to remember the trip by!
All in all, this is probably one of the best spots I've ever found on Hipcamp!

We enjoyed ourselves. The owners were nice. We felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. The environment was beautiful. We could hear the sounds of nature. The yurt was very nice. They had toys for children too. They have a propane grill, picnic table, and propane campfire. We love the horses too.

BEAUTIFUL and peaceful yurt. There’s an amazing vineyard and homey winery right next door (golden leaves) I highly recommend visiting when staying! Definitely recommend packing pots or pans and bringing your own toilet paper! I will definitely be returning. Absolutely loved everything!!!!

Freaking awesome place, the yurt is beautiful and thoughtfully decorated, as well as clearly cared for. Justin was prompt and got us some more firewood for our last night, awesome host! there's so much to love, the cute and friendly horses, incredibly magical stream and water hole, the beautiful new trees popping up everywhere and the super peaceful ambiance of the woods. the only thing to beware is the mouse, he's crazy and will get into your food, he can even get up on the table, so stash your goods!

Justin’s place is a must for all outdoorsy people. It had this very remote feeling like back country letting you be free. So much to adventure, and plenty of exploring. My son, my dog and myself had a great time trekking through thickit. Each site is secluded from the next. it’s very clean all around. Did you ever build a blanket fort as a kid, pretending you lived in the woods and had awesome adventures? That’s what a stay at the Serene Forest Yurt feels like. It feels like having your own, private corner of the woods where you have access to explore 80 acres of wilderness, all while having a very comfortable yurt to use as home base.
Essential details: The walk down to the yurt from the parking lot is about 0.2 miles with an overall elevation difference of 85 feet, according to my Apple Watch. Translation: Pack lightly. The host does provide a wagon, which is great. Although I recommend bringing your own if you have one so that you don’t need to trek back to the parking lot and return it for other guests to use. The walk to and from the yurt is a bit of a workout. We overpacked (heavy cooler, extra water) and it was a challenge controlling our wagon downhill to the yurt. It was even harder shoving our stuff back uphill. The great thing is that the host provides a water cooler-sized jug of potable water, plus a 5ish-gallon of water on the back deck. We’ll probably make do without bringing extra water next time.
I’d recommend you bring:
-Extra headlamps
-Toilet paper
-Portable stovetop (there’s a grill in the back, but it’s nice to be able to heat up coffee indoors)
-Bug spray and bug bite ointment
-A collapsible fish wash basin
Also, Justin was a great host. He quickly responded all texts.
We loved our stay at the yurt and hope you do too!

This was a very unique experience and I am so glad we went. Our daughter had a birthday and she wanted to go camping. I found this experience and it had everything she loves - rock collecting, horses, and a little bit of adventure (a Yurt experience was something we had never done).
I will note that the shower did not work while we were there and a small rodent was scratching and getting in every night (the first night it ate a banana we had out so be sure to secure your food), the door did to the yurt did not lock, and the solar lights around the inside of the Yurt never worked while we were there. Despite all these things, the the Hosts Clint and Justin were amazing! They quickly resolved any concerns we had that they were able to address, they gave us plenty of privacy and texted us each day to make sure we knew where our items were or where to meet for each experience, and they have done an overall excellent job of maintaining the property.
It was extremely hot out there at this point of there, but we had such a great time we are going to go back in Spring like they recommended so we could see the wildflowers.
The Yurt was fully stocked and really had everything we needed (we ended up using the water they provided for bird baths which was a Godsend and there is a gas station a few minutes out before you arrive so it was easy for us to go get more ice to refill our ice chests.
The walk down to the yurt can be tough but they provided a wagon which was great!
