Site 1 - LovelightTentsite & Car Camping
We had another great stay at the ranch (our third)! Mikey and JoAnn are great hosts -- always so warm and welcoming. And the property is beautiful comfortable, laid back, weird (in the best ways), and is always improving as they continue work on it. Thanks!

We had a great time at Desert Isle! The beds were neat and we liked being a little more secluded. We pulled our van right up and enjoyed a fire under the stars. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating !

Mikey is a great host. The Lovelight is great for a day or two exploring Joshua tree, especially in a van. Also very dog friendly!

The Desert Isle
Must Stay!
This place was absolutely AMAZING! A must stop. The dogs had their best time here. 5 acres of freedom to roam with the local and traveling pups. The placement of everything was so artistically eye pleasing. Each time we walked around we saw something new and exciting.

The Stargazer Bed
The stargazer accommodations provided an incredible opportunity to enjoy the mountains both at night and at sunrise. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and there were plenty of blankets (we stayed in mid-November with overnight temps in the low 50s). Once we warmed up the bed it was plenty toasty as long as you snuggled ;) The one consideration would be for light sleepers. We had a veritable Old McDonald song of animals that chorused throughout the early night, wee hours, and morning. Coyotes yipping, dogs barking, so many roosters, ducks, sheep, and even some crows. While we found the humor in it, it did prohibit us from getting a good night's sleep. This was not just occasional noise, it was fairly prolonged and constant for long stretches (15-30+ min) (dogs and roosters). Bring ear plugs for the light sleepers because it is quite the unique experience and beautiful setting if you are set up to enjoy it!
